The end of their conversation is quite interesting, whether Dolph could hold his own in a real fight with Rusev. I would not fancy his chances at all.

Couldn't be remotely true, but hot damn is it a funny scenario. I dunno. You can never underestimate the sheer breadth of Vince's insanity. Vince stories are pretty much like stories out of Florida; it could be bullshit, but there's so much precedent there.

"Dolph, I got great news, guess what you're gonna get!" "Oh man Vince, am I finally gonna get the world title?! Hashtag awesome!" "Uh....no, but how do you feel about blondes?"

I'll believe it, because it's Vince. This guy wanted to do a pregnancy storyline with his own daughter where he would be revealed as the father!

These transcripts really rub me up the wrong way, so much for the Observer/F4W not delving into people's personal lives. Alvarez calling Rusev and Lana by their shoot names and speculating how they really feel about each other is weird. I doubt he knows them all that well personally, if at all, and even if he does, do you think they want him talking publicly about them like that? Pretty bad to see the supposed 'top' wrestling journalists aren't above behaving like gossiping schoolgirls. This is a non-story anyway if the only source is these conversations that barely mention Vince at all.

Whether this is true or not I can totally buy into the idea of Vince McMahon and higher ups in the company trying to push for certain people to be in a relationship, as well as creating scenarios that will put a strain on an existing relationship that they may not approve of for whatever reason.
From what we see of Lana/Rusev as a real life couple, they seem like a good match. If the relationship is strong and meant to be they'll survive any attempts that could be made to try and sabotage their relationship.

Or do you also believe Bryan seriously thought Rusev would kick Ziggler's ass because of an on-screen kiss?

I'd rather marry Rusev than Ziggler and I am a straight male.

I legit don't doubt this for a second. Vince loves Lana and is, as has been well established, pretty f***in crazy.

Well yeah, but the whole 'haha, they're gonna break up now, that's what ALWAYS happens' thing is a bit immature of people who supposedly have multiple sources inside WWE, regardless of the context, especially bringing it up on multiple occasions. And just generally real-naming wrestlers always gives off a 'see how much of an insider I am?' vibe.

And just generally real-naming wrestlers always gives off a 'see how much of an insider I am?' vibe. You shouldn't ignore the context. The Bryan & Vinny show is comedic in nature and they had to look up what Rusev and Lana's real names were just before that part of the conversation. I understand the impression you've gotten from just reading a brief transcript but as someone who listened to that episode I can tell you the vibe was completely different than what you think it was.
