Except it wasn't. And they wouldn't have called it if the teams were reversed. He's not even halfway I don't think you quite get it that the ump raising his hands means nothing because he can't call that a dead ball. He could have been doing finger pistols and it wouldn't matter. The blue jay players should have known the rules like the base runner did.

Given the moves , going all-in , the run they made.... would you classify this Jays season as a success or a failure?

If baseball was that interested in rigging things, they would have gotten a bigger TV market than Kansas City in there.

Somebody will offer their legitimately researched opinion and you will go the other way, so let's just cut out the middleman, lol. Statistically you can consider the Jays the best team in baseball, perhaps. They were an awesome team and lost in a sample of 5 games that came down to the wire. They failed because they are eliminated. They also had a really good team.

Given the moves , going all-in , the run they made.... would you classify this Jays season as a success or a failure? Massive success. Obviously, we've dealt the likes of Thor and d'Arnaud and Norris and Hoffman and Castro over the past few years, but we spent 22 years in the wilderness and it's nice to be relevant again. Our cupboards aren't bare, either. Stroman, Sanchez and Osuna are studs and the ratings the team did and gate numbers at the Rogers Centre should be enough for the team to continue to spend. It's incredibly frustrating to have the richest ownership in baseball crying poor all the time. This is gonna be a crazy offseason, though. AA's contract expires on Halloween and everybody seems to think it's a fait accompli that he's coming back, but he'd be nuts not to see what's out there. He's probably going to be the Executive of the Year, so why not name your price? Most of this team is coming back next season, but Price and Estrada are free agents and Joey Bats and Edwin are headed into the final year of their deals. It'd be a terribly unpopular move, but I think you explore trading one of Bautista or Encarnacion for a young, controllable arm. This was a great season and I think we will be back next year.

SAFE Except the cleat is on the bag.... People in KC need this world series. I looked at their rankings for infrastructure, education, and healthcare #Yikes.

SAFE Except the cleat is on the bag.... Yeah.....sorry, that was the right call. Now if Goins had held onto the tag because Rios likes to jump up like an idiot, then he would have been out. If I'm going to go after a team for getting help, it has to be one that is easy to see.....like that fan interference HR.

While the conspiracy theories and bitterness are still playing out, here's a story talking about the home run call, complete with the ground rules for Kaufmann stadium. So the rule essentially sounds like as long as it's above the gray padding whenever the interference first occurred, it's a HR, not a GRD. With that shot, we're dealing in inches one way or another then, not a clear call, because even if it would have hit the top or the railing and bounced down it wuld have been a HR. It sucks that the game was marred by that particular call, but I don't think it's as clear cut as people are making it out to be. I'd like to see a different angle of it. Edit: seeing it again, it looked like the ball hit the heel of the fan's glove and bounced down into the mitt which was at the level of the padding. So had the fan not been there, it appears it would have hit the railing above the gray padding, unless the fan was reaching further out than he seemed to b in the game. It's still not completely definitive, but it's not the obvious bad call.

You gotta be class to earn class and the Royals have none. After seeing some of the things I've seen on Twitter, you would not be the one to talk about "class".

Given the moves , going all-in , the run they made.... would you classify this Jays season as a success or a failure? It was a success when they won the AL East. They were a hell of a team that deserved to be in the ALCS. The sad thing is only one team can advance and one team has to go home.

Am I the only one who thinks might be the most boring WS ever? Yes. Repeating yourself 500 times will not make people agree with you.
