When Triple H is addressing Cody Rhodes before ‘firing’ him on a 2013 Raw, he specifically commends him on going “all in” in his match with a Randy Orton.

Watching Backlash 2002 and Lesnar used a different theme for his first PPV match rather than the usual one we all know. Whatever this theme is it’s rubbish.
Also Hogan’s Jimi Hendrix theme is dubbed over with a rubbish rip off. Don’t know why they couldn’t put Real American over the top of it.

Final Raw of 1997 has Austin tossing Goldust, dressed as the New Year's Baby, into a pot-a-potty and tipping it over. Goldust exits the john looking completely clean. He was wearing white so you'd know it if you saw something. So Roman tossing Corbin into one 23 years later and Corbin coming out clean has some precedence. Well, at least Kevin Owens got that blue crud on him when Braun tipped over the potty he was in.

Watching the go-home RAW to the 97 Rumble. Not one match had a clean pinfall/submission finish.
-Goldust/Mero vs HHH/Lawler ended with Goldust getting his team DQ’d after not stopping his beatdown when Triple H was in the ropes.
-Rocky/Bulldog had Rocky win via count out, after Austin attacked Bulldog on the outside.
-Undertaker/Crush ended in a DQ when the NOD ran in and beatdown Taker. Vader and Ahmed Johnson joined in as well but the Nation caused the DQ.
Also on this show (taped in NY), HBK was being interviewed from a bar in Texas to hype up his match with Sid. Immediately after the Rocky/Bulldog match they cut to a shot of the crowd in the bar and Rocky in the middle of all the people. I wouldn’t have noticed it if Vince didn’t mention it on commentary “Hey it’s Rocky”.

The footage from the Texas bar was done live as the company was big at this time on having live elements during Raws with taped matches.

I thought that was the case (similar to the dubbed in commentary on taped RAW’s), I just thought it was funny seeing Rocky teleport from New York to Texas.

Watching WCW Uncensored 1996. Why would anyone care about a Chicago street fight in Tupelo, Mississippi? I thought the idea was "pick your city or something to do with the fans in attendance" street fight? The opposite, actually. What a Chicago Street Fight is selling (in theory) is the notion that people who have never seen a "Chicago street fight" what one looks like. People in Chicago would theoretically already be aware of what they're like.

Watching the 3/15/1999 Nitro:
This first hour just seems to drag on. Matches like Meng vs Jerry Flynn and Rick Steiner vs Chris Adams were pointless.
Despite the double switch at Uncensored the night before, Flair is still getting a face reaction.
Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell are WAY over with the crowd. I've always said if WCW pushes Steiner a year earlier than they did, they would've lasted longer. The crowd just eats everything up from these two guys.
Despite people being "sick" of them, Nash and Hogan are still way over, too. I get a feeling it's similar to "I don't like wrestler A, so they aren't over" that we get today.
Ernest the Cat Miller is really underrated.
Mikey Whipwreck debuts the night before, and is only mentioned in a photo slideshow here.
Lots of wrestlers not used. I know Sting was still selling an injury and Hall was battling stuff, but there's tons of over lower and mid card guys used the night before that are barely mentioned on the show.

Do bear in mind that crowd reaction in the room is not actually directly related to how big of a draw someone is. Hogan and Nash got mega pops from the live crowd because I would probably pop if Hogan showed up even now when he is an old racist gremlin because of the pavlovian 'holy shit a star is here' response, that's how live theatre works. But they weren't drawing any more, which is what actually tells the story.

During the Light Heavyweight tournament, Aguila would use theme to bad blood '97, this would be the same raw that Steve Blackman hopped the rails to help Vader from team canada. After survivor series, Blackman would begin to use that same theme.
The raw before over the edge '99, Al snow would have a funeral for his moose head, the same raw The Rock and Undertaker would have a casket match. 😪

Some sadistic maniac thought people wanted to see Paul Roma vs. Boris Zhukov THREE TIMES in the same calendar year. This evil individual also made us watch Barry Horowitz vs. Mark Young

On older programs shown in the 4:3 aspect ratio with the black bars on the sides, you can tell when WWE has used multiple sources to put together the Network edit because those bars will suddenly become darker or lighter. It is blatant on the newly added Prime Time Wrestling episodes. Whenever there is footage shown of a ring entrance that was removed from the Classics On Demand version, you can tell where the spliced in footage starts and ends if you look at the bars.

You know, Bret talks about the things Shawn did to the Canadian flag, but Bret and Bulldog did some things to the US flag that are pretty awful too. At Ground Zero, he takes the flag the Patriot brings to the ring and breaks the pole over his knee and rips the flag from the pole and chokes Patriot with the flag for several minutes. A couple weeks later on Raw, Bret does the same to the Headbangers and Bulldog actually yanks the flag away from a fan in the crowd, and actually stomps on the flag to rip it from the pole. Bret is definitely living in a glass house when it comes to talking about Shawn disrespecting a flag. That’s Bret alright. He bitches about Shawn screwing women and doing drugs but it was okay for Bret to do those exact same things while married with kids. No. He bitches about Shawn going on TV and saying Bret was having an affair with Sunny, when he was not. Shawn did. Shawn was pissed because it ended and Bret and Sunny were friends.

Loses a bit of punch when your argument is "I cheat on my wife all the time, but how dare you say it's with THAT SPECIFIC PERSON!"
