Crews is gonna be another Neville situation. Good on NXT but not standing out that much. Then, hits the main roster, and blows everyone away. I hope he doesn't go full Neville though, and have his push halted for zero reason. You thought Neville was just there on NXT but blew everyone away on the main roster? That seems entirely backwards to me. |

I think Gargano looked better tonight because he was working with Crews, who works a similar style so they were able to do more cool stuff.
Ciampa wrestled a guy who was trained in and works a very different style than him (and isn't trained to easily adjust to a new style - Breeze is great, but he just hasn't had a lot of experience in that regard) so the match was bound to be a little off.

Speaking of Gargano, apparently he's issued a challenge to Ethan Page on an upcoming Evolve show that stipulates if he submits during an I Quit match he'll leave the company.
So possibly planting the seeds to go full time on NXT?

That seems entirely backwards to me. He was never that over with the NXT crowds. His style didn't pop as much in that context. But once he came up doing the same stuff, crowds were wowed by him. Personally, it took me a while to get into him, but I eventually LOVED his NXT title run, best title run anyone in the company has had in years. But he was too dry for the NXT crowd to embrace, the way they do Enzo (who i believe will have the opposite effect when he cones up) On the main roster, things like presence and athleticism, the "eyeball test" means more, because a lot of guys don't get to show much personality. That's why I think Crews will come up and instantly blow crowds away, whereas on NXT fans aren't feeling him that much yet. |

Obviously a more experienced worker which is what HHH might be looking for right now since Owens joined the MR already and I believe Sami, Hideo and Balor might get there soon |

I'm starting to agree with Catch_Us about Tyler Breeze. He is one of the best guys they have but he's barely got a sniff of the title since I started watching. I'd not even have minded if they let Owens murder him on the weekly TV.

I know you're joking, but I've barely seen Hideo work, so don't really care about him yet, whereas Owens was my boy from day one. I don't mind seeing my favourite guys losing to other favourite guys, at this point I don't mark for Tyler much (although his fan response in Brooklyn was incredible) but I feel like he has done so much for NXT at this point he deserves something more. |

That Regal/Emma/Dana segment was executed nicely. I really enjoyed that. Awesome job of putting over talent while building your own characters. Everybody wins in that segment. Wrestling math still works.
EDIT: for that matter, the backstage mens tag team segment (Gable/Jordan) was also great. Just simple stuff like that well-executed makes me a fan. These guys are rocking a character. It's not like when RAW rosters make EVERYTHING feel so forced. Segment on NXT was absurdist humor of sorts, but it was executed. And heck, it was building a real rivalry.
And that Banks/Bayley promo. Good gosh. I'm so emotionally invested in this match. So invested.

If anything, Tommaso's the one being portrayed as just "eh some dude". At least with Gargano, Graves talks about how he's been up and down the road with the guy and known him forever. |

I'm surprised it's just Dana Vs Asuka, I really thought it was gonna be a handicap match. Where Emma does all the heavy lifting while Dana takes a few good bumps and gets in a few good spots once in a while to protect her still being pretty green and not make Asuka look bad in her debut.
