Cannon films was responsible for some of the best/worst films of my childhood, so I'm pretty interested in checking this out.

We need a time machine, so we can go back and convince Golan and Globus to make this.

Cannon is among my three favourite stories of Hollywood insanity, along with Kevin Smith's experience with Jon Peters, and the entire production of Heaven's Gate.

Saw it over a year ago with the filmmakers themselves.. There was a documentary about Cannon before this that was more dramatized and nostalgic. I found this one more unapologetic and "truthy." Still, make no mistake, it still goes for the entertainment jugular.
EDIT; After seeing a post below, when I say "truthy" and unapologetic, it's because the movies were garbage. Maybe fun. But let's not kid ourselves. They were garbage. And the filmmakers do not hide that.

Saw it. It's good but the filmmakers don't share the love/appreciation some might have for these films so, if you're a fan, prepare to be a bit miffed.

I saw this in a store yesterday, forgetting of its existance. First words out of my mouth (to no one) were "What are Superman and He-Man and Chuck Norris doing on the same DVD covoohhhhh yeah this doc I remember now." There s also a companion DVD set out now with 5 or 6 of their movies. MOTU, Missing in Action and a few others.

if nothing else I always liked referring to sub-par sequels as "Something-or-other 2: Electric Boogaloo"

Finally got my hands on this DVD and am watching it now.......... Good grief, the 1st half hour is jam packed with insanity and what seems like 100 interviewees. Amazing stuff so far.
These are the folks (which includes Brett Ratner) who gave us the recent (and also excellent) Roger Corman documentary too, yes?

Im halfway into it, and after seeing the clips of the "Hercules" movie they made, i actually want to see that one. It looks crazier than Rock and Roll Nightmare, Troll 1 and 2, all 3 Sharknados, and everything shown on MST3K.

if nothing else I always liked referring to sub-par sequels as "Something-or-other 2: Electric Boogaloo" It is a good legacy to have, but I wonder if those people saying it have even seen those fun flicks. Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo is an example of a damn good sequel. Cannon definitely made a lot of fun stuff. Im halfway into it, and after seeing the clips of the "Hercules" movie they made, i actually want to see that one. It looks crazier than Rock and Roll Nightmare, Troll 1 and 2, all 3 Sharknados, and everything shown on MST3K. I've seen those, nowhre near as weird as Troll 2, Rock and Roll Nightmare etc. Entertaining cheese, maybe I'm just numbed to it, but didn't seem that crazy to me.

I ended up importing this a few months back. Then saw that the DVD is now out in region 1 and extremely cheap.
