I saw the episode and I'm giving it a 9. I liked the (kinda)return of Flutterbat, and the anime references.

Probably end up rewatching it in the next day or two and might reevaulate my score then, but probably give Scare Master a 9. Lot of fun stuff in it, some memorable visual gags, and keeps a good pace.

I gave it an 8 mainly due to the whole "Fluttershy being too nervous at the party" scene being really annoying honestly. I get that she's worrisome, but even to the level of being scared of candy feels too out of character for her. I did laugh at Pinkie just pulling the bag back behind the counter though

...actually, I'll give it a 6, because I will admit, there were a few good background gags.
Plus, I didn't even notice the Rei or Bulma cut-outs. So I'll give credit where it's due. But this just... it didn't work for me. Fluttershy is scared of a thing, manages to briefly overcome her fear of the thing, gains acceptance, and decides she'll never do it again.
And they were doing so well with her portrayal this season, too...

Those excuses for ducking out of those Halloween games got old real quick. What, she doesn't trust her friends to help her out should those situations arise?

While I agree with the Halloween Games thing (Fluttershy should not be THAT paranoid), I don't see the problem with the end of the episode.
Let's say, a group of friends of mine go to the Superbowl every year but I do not go or shut myself out of the whole Superbowl stuff.
One year, I decide to go out there with my friends and after doing it, I find that it is not for me because I find I don't like the whole stuff associated with it but me and my friends are OK with it because we do lots of stuff together that it does not matter if I tag out on one activity every year.
And thus I continue to not go to the Superbowl but I am OK with it because I find it just is not for me.
Same thing with Flutters in this episode.
