Here are the Facts about NXT:
- Dash & Dawson VS The Vaudevillains was the 9th NXT Tag Team Championship of 2015, the 1st since November 11, Dash & Dawson’s 3rd week in row on NXT, their 1st opener since August 26, English & Gotch’s 1st match since November 11, their 1st opener since October 14, & their 3rd re-match
- Asuka VS Dana Brooke doesn’t count since the bell never rang
- Apollo Crews VS Jesse Sorensen was Crews’ 1st match since November 4 & Sorensen’s 1st match since an 8-Man Tag Team Match on August 19
- Bayley VS Eva Marie was the 10th NXT Women’s Championship of 2015, the 2nd week in a row that NXT had a Women’s Title Match, Bayley’s 3rd week in a row on NXT & 2nd week in a row in the main event, Eva Marie’s main event debut, her 1st match since November 4, & her 1st loss in NXT

That main event was a master class in how good booking can make anyone look like a star. Eva is in a good place because she gets visceral hatred from the crowd as it is, but the main roster booking would have no idea what to do with this. Thing I love about NXT is that her contention for the title was dubious at best and NXT goes above and beyond this week to explain it, and it`s kind of funny how WWE just allows themselves to be the villain in this story, that in kayfabe WWE is just openly corrupt.
Samoa Joe's contract signing was awesome but I didn't really care for the post-signing attack, it's too cliche pro wrestling for Samoa Joe's turn to be this complete already. He attacked his friend in order to get ahead, at this stage I don't think he should be so comfortable assaulting him after he got what he wanted. I didn't think that was necessary.
I'm really hoping Emma/Asuka puts Emma back on the map as one of the top caliber NXT girls.
I liked Baron Corbin`s promo about how Apollo is just gonna be an answer to a trivia question, "that one guy who did that one thing."
How good is Charles Robinson? I loved his subtle shit eating grins during the introductions.

How good can one look in a match littered with shenanigans and interference? They played to Eva Marie's strengths by adding Nia Jax, the ref bump, and everything else. It was obvious Bayley carried her.
If she wins the title at TakeOver in London, I will stop watching the NXT Women's division as long as she is Champion. Quote me on that. Can't stand her.

See, now I'm even more pissed off with Eva. She honest to god RAN at one point in that match, yet she's still stepping up the ropes for the Sliced Bread. RUN UP, IDIOT.

Loved that Main Event. Sucks it probably means Eva never gets another shot if she couldn't win after all that shenanigans. Girl is the biggest heat magnet in the company.

So this mini Eva/Bayley feud was just the prologue to Bayley/Nia Jax; like the fake out boss battle before the real deal shows up? I'm cool with that. Jax is still green as grass, but as a monster heel with a power style moveset, she and Bayley could probably have a good run.

again a phenomenal show, the heat for the main event was NUCLEAR as expected, loved the 98-Russo-booking style for this one

I kind of wish they'd kept the contract signing with Joe arriving, signing, and leaving. The contract signing fight is a little too cliche, and I'd love for any chance to kill that trope, or in ring contract signings in general.
I love the Mechanics. But Enzo and Cass should have those tag title yesterday. Now that the dumb Vaudevillains reign is over, it's time for them to get those belts. I am sorry it has to come at the expense of the current champs though.
I think the Drifter gimmick will be about as effective as a wrestling hacker.
I'd prefer Emma and Bayley fighting over the strap. But even with that said, her match with Asuka should be pretty awesome. Even though I suspect she's going to be demolished.

That was one of the best booked shows I've seen in years, let alone the WWE umbrella. How the hell can there be such a difference between two shows in one company?
Props to Eva Marie, she had her part to play in that match and pulled it off relatively botch free. Im being worked goddamit.

That was a great contract signing. NXT is second to none when it comes to contract signings.
That Sami Zayn hype video was pretty awesome.
I really liked the main event. They pulled out all the stops to make it seem like Eva was about to win. It appeard the fix was in, which made it a riveting match.

"The End" is a possible reference to Big E as was state earlier. Then again, my fear is that they aren't acknowledging Bo or Big E as NXT Champs for some odd reason. |
