"But it was not The End" -- The Big Ending (Big E Langston)? Yeah, someone also bought that up in the comments in that thread. Bo got No-Sold, heh.

I'm starting to wonder...
...with the direction the Eva/Bayley match took with Cole and Little Naitch showing up, are we seeing the beginnings of a "Vince and Dunn are worming their dirty fingers into your beloved NXT and ruining it" angle?
Because I really hope that we aren't.

Small nitpick, but why doesn't Eva stick with the original Red look she had? It looked the best and it fits her "All red, everything" motto. I think she was playing the "wear gold when you win the title" thing, to add a little more heat to the whole thing. That and I need an excuse to use Superstar Threads in 2K16.

My 12 year old sister walked in while I was watching the show and I'm pretty sure the Bayley/Eva match made her a Bayley fan. We ended up watching the Takeover: Brooklyn match afterwards and now she wants to go to an NXT show.
I think the over the top goofiness and blatant cheating in the main event was a great way to get folks quickly invested in the story (even if they haven't seen any of the build up). My sister was totally against Eva the moment the first ref bump happened. Bravo, NXT.

I think title belt under a suit jacket may be my favorite way I've ever seen someone carry a championship. It's such a hard statement, I am the champ, this is not a prop that I just carry around on TV, this is my belt, I take this thing home with me every night, I sleep with it, I dress around it, because I am the champ and it is mine.

I got serious goosebumps during that Sami Zayn video. Holy crap that was well done.
Hyped for The Drifter as well.

I may or may not had sexual intercourse with that belt

Yeah, someone also bought that up in the comments in that thread. Bo got No-Sold, heh. Bo is gravity having it in his hands, Gravity losing it would be Neville as a reference to the ladder match and being the man gravity forgot.

Just got around to watching it. I was super excited for the show. I got to see Asuka, and a main event that I was really interested in.
I literally haven't been on the edge of my seat for a match in ages, Bayley vs. Eva did that. Perhaps that makes me a dork, but I love the way the corporate siding with Eva thing played out. The entire time I thought, she's gonna lose and then have a rematch at London. One of those matches that you kinda hoped Bayley would win, but knew it could go the other way and the storyline would still be interesting to see. A red herring for Nia though, it's okay, it'll be cool to see a Kong vs. Gail Kim type feud in NXT. I don't have high hopes, and am kind of annoyed Nia is getting her shot already.
Small tidbit I liked. During the opening of the main event Bayley says to Eva "It's a set up" and Eva just smiles and nods. That was perfect.
When Bayley got the three count I threw my arms in the air and said "yes!"
Can we give an award to Emma please? She fits this new personality to the letter. She and Dana are amazing together, perfect pairing. I really like how NXT puts two ladies together and it almost always fits nicely, it doesn't feel forced. (Nia and Eva worked great together too imo). I LOVE LOVE LOVE Asuka, but damn is Emma killing it right now. I'm extremely excited for their match at Takeover London. Emma's definitely made a new fan over the last couple months. Amazing job reinventing herself.
The contract signing was cool, Finn...*drools* Like many others I liked how Joe didn't look at Balor when he signed the contract, and could have done without the post match beatdown. Funny enough Joe playing the natural bad guy he does so well is finally getting him the cheers he's been lacking.
The Drifter guy looks interesting. Have no idea who it is. At first when I saw the guitar and bearded guy I thought they were bringing James Storm on full time, a stretch I know, or wishful thinking; but I'm intrigued at what NXT's typically superior booking can do with this persona.
Very solid show, even more excited for London. Which is what a wrestling show should do. Get you excited for the big event. I'm looking at you Raw.

I loved what they built for Eva/Bayley, my only issue was with the ref'ing. Charles Robinson has reffed most of NXT's big matches, while Black Haired Ref was the one who reffed the Eva "botch" matches. Making Lil' Naitch the heel and Botchy the face seemed backward and left me scratching my head. I get Robinson can easily be seen as the corporate ref given his top ref status, it just seemed weird to not reverse those roles.

Someone on Reddit did some detective work and apparently the song used in the Elias Samson viginette is the history of the NXT championship. "It started with a man [Seth Rollins], but it was not the End , Gravity held it in his hands [Adrian Neville], then it lost it's friends, Then it found Redemption [Sami Zayn], but KO'd his heart [Kevin Owens], Now it's with the Demon [Finn Bàlor], a poor man's work of art [the title itself], What we have is masquerators, what we need are liberators, Some jacked up plan, what it needs is what I am."No rhyme up his sleeve for the man who Bolieved, hm? 'Then it lost its friends' is Bo. Remember he lost a 'loser leaves NXT' match and had that epic multiple-false goodbyes goodbye promo where he basically turned true face for the first time ever in his entire NXT run.
