I like the Packers, when the Vikings have an awful season, I jump on the Packer bandwagon. This season the Vikings are doing well, so I wanted the Packers to lose this game so the Vikings would have a better chance to make it to the playoffs. I should be pissed at the end of this game, but Rodger and Rodgers deserves the win. Maybe it was a bad call for the face mask, but blame the Lions for allowing Rodgers to pass the impossible pass and for Rodgers to catch the impossible pass.

Cannot wait until the refs blow a playoff game and people blindly defend it. I really hope it is the Super Bowl. This whole mess is killing the game but hey, who cares, that there is video proof of a bad call. Now, that bitching said, if Detroit could have stopped them even once in the second half, this would be a non-issue. Oh well, Packers will flame out as usual. The penalty was there. Every replay shows that. Now whether it be facemask or illegal hands to the face is really the only thing you can argue, but bottom line is the Packers were going to get one more play because Devin Taylor decided "Hey, I'm gonna hit the QB high." You want to go all mad and stuff, be mad at him for being dumb enough to put himself in that position and costing his team the game. To even suggest that we would blindly defend a bad call in the playoffs on a situation where there was a penalty is just grasping for straws. He never touched his helmet, he hit his shoulder pad. There is no world in which that's a penalty at all. And whatever, I expect this being a Lions fan.

But suppose that wasn't a penalty (which it was), the refs can not review facemask penalties and should not review that nonsense. Almost any referee would throw that flag in a heartbeat seeing what happened. Taylor was an idiot and the terrible defense by the Lions was what cost you the game.

Green Bay will not lose another game... until next season. They're winning out. They're winning the SB. Have you actually watched them over the last month or so? In what universe does that team look like they're capable of running the table and winning the Superbowl? I know ridiculous hyperbole is your thing, but you honestly can't believe this nonsense

The penalty was because Rogers head spun around while there was a defenders hand near his helmet. The nfl has basically stated they're going to allow the officials to assume a penalty happened because of circumstantial evidence.
Watched the slow no video and it's possible his thumb grazed the bottom of the helmet. But Rodgers flop generated the call.

It was a bad call but at the same time, it's not like Detroit's the only team that's gotten one this season. That's the NFL, you gotta deal with it. You make one more stop during the game and maybe don't let your opponents be in a position where they can actually come back from a 17 point deficit and it wouldn't have been an issue.
I guess I just have a hard time feeling sympathy this time around since it seems like this kinda stuff happens quite a bit now. Also, lol Detroit but that's another matter entirely.

Still an illegal hands to the face penalty. Bottom line is you don't complain about something that you know is going to get called every time. It's like when the guy's back is to the ball on a pass interference, you put yourself in that situation.

See, "That's the NFL" and "it happens to a lot of teams" aren't exactly going to cut it in the eyes of coaches, players and fans I'm not arguing that this type of shit shouldn't be fixed, it absolutely should. But, at the same time, you KNOW things are screwy right now. That's not some big mystery. The Lions were the ones that let the Packers even get into position to catch up and win. Then, because they let the Packers catch up, they ended up getting done in by a (really) bad call. I'm not gonna feel sorry for them when this stuff happens to a bunch of different teams. It'd be one thing if this was a close game that went back and forth the entire way. In that case, yeah, I'd feel sympathetic. The Packers didn't even score until the 3rd quarter, IIRC. It sucks, I agree, and this stuff shouldn't happen. But the reality is it does, everybody knows it, and you have to play like you know it. That's more my point. If this shit happened to the Packers, I'd be saying the exact same thing. You have to wonder when the NFL is actually gonna do something about this though. Especially when you just know this saga is gonna end with a call being blown in some super important game like the AFC/NFC Championship (or maybe even the Superbowl) and the NFL steps in to clean up the mess like everybody has been asking them to for ages.

Detroit isn't faultless. They blew the led, but by no means should the officials have caused further hardships.
This has to be like, the 7th or 8th game where a big blown call has helped to screw someone out of a win ( Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit x2 off the top of my head) or a chance at a comeback (see: Buffalo/NE a few weeks ago). So, when you have Roger Goodell saying that he thinks the refs are doing a great job this season, it's a f***ing joke. The league doesn't hold the officials accountable, unless you count simply taking a crew with several high profile blown calls under their belt off of a primetime game and moving them to an earlier one, rather than say, suspending them for the weekend.
As a fan, nobody who pays high prices or spends hours in front of their TVs wants to see a game they're invested in ruined because the guys in the stripes become the star attraction

Back to the J.O.B. squad!
Let's see if they can make it to 8-8 though.
If anyone asks I'll be watching da wings.
And yeah you can argue till the cows come home about that penalty but the Lions blew a 17 point lead 2. Don't lose the lead and you don't have to worry about the refs

Refs f*** up another big game. Any surprise? No surprise. The Zebras are worthless wastes of space this year.
I don't understand the Lions rushed three when they knew that all they had to do was get some pressure to force a bad throw. They had success with it all night and they don't bother on the last play. Don't agree with it. Even with all the extra men downfield, they still let the other Rodgers get right in front of all of them.
