Kind of weird that WWE and Finn Balor seem to be glorifying a murder.
Oh and that entrance, seems kind of toned down from the usual over the top theatrics. I don't know how I feel about that. I often complained about how pretentious it seemed and what a dork he looks like sometimes, but this was a bit too simple. "Hey,he's wearing a hat and cape".

You're just assuming that's who they were making allusions to. Granted, I made the same assumption. But still!

We have plenty of famous murderers in the UK he could have dressed up as.

Are you sure you just don't like the guy? Nah I think he's okay. Just confusing. This slow burn heel turn is taking forever. One day he comes out with a douchey leather jacket and his entrance consists of "Looks at my abs/Title!" His backstage vignettes range from humble and serious or dead pan stare whenever someone touches his title. Yet it doesn't look like he has an reason to turn heel until Itami comes back.

The Whitechapel murders were real. "Jack The Ripper" as a figure was largely just a media creation aimed at personifying and sensationalising the cases. The real killer could have been a woman for all we know, or maybe multiple killers working independently of each other.

No one knows who Jack the ripper was, what he looked like, or if it was even one person as it could have been multiple... and hte name Jack the Ripper comes from a letter that is most likely a hoax.
The image is from other pop culture things, and it's been over 127 years since the murders and everyone involved in the case and their immediate family are long dead.
But he was clearly dressed as Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of fleet street.

Why was his title so far up the entrance before he got there?

Next Takeover Finn's going to dress in an OJ costume equipped with white Bronco because he don't know no better.

Why was his title so far up the entrance before he got there? Maybe "Magic" like the Undertaker.

Finn dressing as Jack the Ripper isn't him saying he advocates murdering hookers. Just using his infamy to show he taking the threat of Samoa Joe seriously and give the crowd a localized entrance. John Cena had a Wrestlemania entrance with 20's era mobsters. Didn't mean he was pro Mafia.

Love Finn, I think he's going to be big when he goes to WWE.
I f***ing hated his entrance last night. It was goofy, he might as well have been wearing a local sports team shirt because it screamed, "HEY LOOK, SOMETHING BRITISH!"
And the dumb cartoon on his back was embarrassing.
His best look was the one where he had the huge eye on his back and called it the Eye of Balor.

He's being the Demon Balor.
Guess he should have gone with a My Little Pony theme.

Kinda cool entrance in my opinion, but mainly for how he lives his characters and entrances
Please WWE don't screw it up when he gets to the main roster, this guy is money

Witches offend me. They glorify the deaths of those during the Salem witch trials. Ghosts offend me. That's dead people we're talking about and kids are dressing up as them on Halloween to have "fun". It's sickening really.

Was also sort of dressed like the villain in London After Midnight. And this show was...in London.

I really wish he'd come out to the comic book characters, but obviously rights issues and fees and they want to establish the one 'demon prince' look.
I agree about the paint in the back. A little too cheap pop-ish and I can't really see a demon wearing that on its back. But I have no problem with the Jack the Ripper entrance.
I'm soooo dreading how The Authority will screw him up on the main roster. Just let him fight Taker at 'Mania already, dammit.

Are you sure you just don't like the guy? Yeah. This reeks of hatership. Reeks of it. Jack the Ripper is basically Vlad the Impaler at this point. OMGZORzZ, did he just reference Vlad the Impaler?

the entrance was cool. the airbrushed cartoon thing on his back was lame as all hell, and he really needs to get ultra nuts/violent/something when he goes to the demon paint. at the moment it's kind of like Jeff Hardy as Willow, "hey it's Jeff Hardy's alter-ego and he's kooky, check him out as he wrestles almost exactly the same!"
