Witches offend me. They glorify the deaths of those during the Salem witch trials. Ghosts offend me. That's dead people we're talking about and kids are dressing up as them on Halloween to have "fun". It's sickening really. Mount Rushmore offends me. All those presidents are dead. They're celebrating death by carving their likenesses into that mountain. I feel the same way about money, more dead presidents. I volunteer to spare you all this angst - send me all your money and I'll get rid of it.

He might be better served becoming the next Jeff Hardy (without the drugs). I don't see much of a future for a new "demon" character.

He was Jack The Ripper? I thought he was going for The Hitcher from The Mighty Boosh. Which would've been way cooler.

I'd be way more impressed if he was doing Jack the Stripper.

He was going for Jack Tripper from There's Company, but Mikaze has a hearing problem thanks to those loud-ass Gamer Gauntlet sessions.

The Whitechapel murders were real. "Jack The Ripper" as a figure was largely just a media creation aimed at personifying and sensationalising the cases. The real killer could have been a woman for all we know, or maybe multiple killers working independently of each other. It was one dude, there weren't multiple killers with that level of medical knowledge working independently of each other.

They wouldn't have needed much medical knowledge to rip open a person and steal organs. Even a rudimentary knowledge of where things generally are in the body would have sufficed.

I remember reading about the fear in those poor victims eyes, as Jack with his long dredlocks started crawling towards them.

Harold Shipman? Nah.
Lord Lucan for me. Balor could have killed his opponent, then mysteriously disappeared.

Let's not overlook the fact that Balor's entrance video began with him slitting a prostitute's throat.
Finn Balor is a murderer. And I don't know how to accept that.

Also remember reading about how Jack would throw his arms in the air and the people sleeping in the houses around the crime scene would inexplicably do the same.

I saw a couple of comments suggesting it could have been inspired by Jekyll and Hyde. My mind went straight to Jack the Ripper too, but I wouldn't rule the idea out because it would fit into the whole split between regular Finn and demonic Finn.

I'm pretty sure I heard one of the announcers, maybe Rich Brennan, make a direct reference to Jack the Ripper on the broadcast. So I don't think the inspiration for it is in much doubt.

Like I said in the Takeover thread, a lot of this kind of thing is just so ingrained into general culture over the course of many decades that it's not worth the effort of trying to change it back otherwise. If you're offended by it, that's OK... There's not much one can really do about it beyond that, though.

Did Johnny Depp ever play Jack the Ripper?
That's pretty much what Finn was last night to me, Johnny Depp about to play another classic crazy character.
