Clyde: There's a gremlin destroying the plane! You've gotta believe me! Sebastian Cabot: Why should I believe you? You're Hitler!

Marathon is on a Smackdown break now. At least this'll be the last of those on SyFy...

I watched the 2000s version, I think every episode, though there are only three episodes that stand out in my memory. The Maple Street remake, the sequel to It's a Good Life and an episode with Patrick Warburton playing a Conan-like character.

I think the only story from the 2000 series I saw in full was the one where Jason Alexander played Death.

I've seen a handful of episodes of the 80s one, knew of the 2000s one but never watched it. The It's a Good Life sequel's really the only thing from it I've meant to look into.

I woke up at 5am specifically to see The Obsolete Man, my favorite TZ ep and one I usually miss during the regular SyFy marathons. Marathon complete for me now.......though I still have lots more viewing for the next 2 days.

If Five Characters in Search of an Exit were made now, the five characters would be a Skylander, Rainbow Dash, a Monster High girl, Elsa, and Roman Reigns.

I've always found it interesting how as famous as it is, To Serve man really doesn't at all feel like a typical Twilight Zone episode. Its tone and structure are very different from the norm.

Just curious what you mean exactly in terms of tone and structure? Seems pretty similar to a lot of episodes to me. I guess I can see it feeling more like a self-contained 1950's sci-fi movie than most episodes, but there are others that feel similar to that even.

I guess I can see it feeling more like a self-contained 1950's sci-fi movie than most episodes, but there are others that feel similar to that even. A big part of it's the presentation - the narration throughout is a big part of it, it really gives the whole thing this very different vibe from the rest of the series. Besides that, there isn't really any sort of attempt at an underlying message, which most episodes - even other ones with bad endings - generally try for, and the whole thing feels more focused on plot than character which is also somewhat odd for the series. Plus it really has a lot going on for a Twilight Zone episode, seems to move at a much quicker pace and spend less time focusing on aspects of the story the show would otherwise likely dwell on. Then there's the fourth wall breaking at the end. I'm sure a lot of that's on being an adaptation of a short story, and is still a very good episode to be sure, but still, it's different.
