Just curious what you mean exactly in terms of tone and structure? Seems pretty similar to a lot of episodes to me. I guess I can see it feeling more like a self-contained 1950's sci-fi movie than most episodes, but there are others that feel similar to that even. A big part of it's the presentation - the narration throughout is a big part of it, it really gives the whole thing this very different vibe from the rest of the series. Besides that, there isn't really any sort of attempt at an underlying message, which most episodes - even other ones with bad endings - generally try for, and the whole thing feels more focused on plot than character which is also somewhat odd for the series. Plus it really has a lot going on for a Twilight Zone episode, seems to move at a much quicker pace and spend less time focusing on aspects of the story the show would otherwise likely dwell on. Then there's the fourth wall breaking at the end. I'm sure a lot of that's on being an adaptation of a short story, and is still a very good episode to be sure, but still, it's different. Good points! The narration was the first thing to come to mind as well I can't recall an episode offhand, but I'm sure others had narration as well. However, in this episode it feels more cinematic. It's been a while since I've watched it, but in particular that scene when he's talking about all the changes the earth is going through and they show an empty field being turned into lush farmland.

I'm liking this Fugitive episode. I think it's pretty good, but the ending of, "The old guy who's been hanging out with a little girl all episode kidnaps, raises, then marries her," comes off kind of... iffy.

I was curious if during he marathon there were any episodes people her either never aw before or haven't seen in forever?
I've seen them all, but one I wish they would whip out is "The Incredible World of Horace Ford." Not because it's a great episode (it's not), but because I don't think I've ever watched it aired on TV (only saw it from tapes/DVDs).

Like I said it's not great, but it's certainly different and one that usually doesn't get played. In 2015 I actually watched the complete season 4 from beginning to end. As was to be expected a lot of episodes dragged, but it was a fun experience overall. There were ones I hadn't seen in YEARS. Right now, I'm actually doing the same thing with Alfred Hitchcock Presents season 6. I'm watching that whole season then season 7 then I plan to watch from seasons 5 to 1 in reverse order (but beginning at the start of the season). I grew up much more on Twilight Zone, so there are episodes of AHP that are completely new to me, which is nice.

The one I've never seen before and like the most was Trouble with Templeton. Might be considered a boring episode by some people, but I think it has a very nice ending.
The Chaser, King Nine Will Not Return, Nervous Man in a 4 Dollar Room, Dust, The Mind and the Matter, The Passerby and One More Pallbearer are the ones I haven't seen before this marathon. There are others that I didn't DVR and maybe next year.

I love it when I forget the twist ending to one of these. I got sick of the commercials so I'm watching them on Netflix now.

Yeah, I like it quite a bit, though I saw the twist coming(you can see it after a while), but then they did another twist which subverted it. Now it makes me think there's a third twist in the episode, that his guests weren't even there to begin with and he's been in a nervous breakdown from the beginning and imagined them.

Yeah, that ending was odd They must have realized that and had that photo of a young man as the real version of the Fugitive but he still looked like someone too old for a 10 year old girl anyway. And the photo looks like its a yearbook photo of a high school student, not a photo of an Alien king anyway. I misremembered this one and thought he did appear as an alien in front of her.

It figures I get up to one of the season four episodes starting and it's one I've already seen and rather dislike. I DVRed the ones that came before it to watch later, maybe should just put on one of those instead.

Maaaaan, no wonder season four has the reputation it does given what a slog the past few episodes have been to get through. Isn't helping this one's just the The Chaser at twice the length with rednecks.

Jesus, The Miniature thus far might be the worst episode I've ever watched of this show. Every character is insufferable, it keeps repeating the same scene over and over, and it has yet to actually focus at all on what's supposedly the plot.
