I never care to see rockstar Y2J again. Now, a final run as the idiotic crybaby he was in WCW? I'd be OK with that.

The final thing I want to see Jericho do is win the IC title for the 10th time, do a multi-month run with it (3-6) to get it over big, wear a white flashy attire, promote it incessantly, make it a huge accolade, and then have him drop it to someone so it means something after that. Start as babyface only to turn him heel right after he wins it.

I would have no interest in Jericho returning full-time on the *main roster*...but, having said that, Jericho would probably be valuable if he returned full-time on NXT in one of their player-coach positions. If nothing else, you have one of the few World Champions who had fallen to the point they would be a good NXT demotion, which does put him in a better level- he can't put anyone over on WWE, but having him wrestling and putting over the NXT roster would potentially give a benefit to that roster. Throw in giving NXT a proven draw for their house shows or potential tours who'd be safe there and how it's still a limited enough amount of dates so Jericho could do everything else he does, and it'd be perfect for both sides.

Chris Jericho is one of my top-five favorite wrestlers of all-time. He was great in WCW. He was great in the Attitude Era. He was great as World Champ in 2008.
I have no interest in ever seeing Chris Jericho in a WWE ring again.

Sorry but until he enters the Royal Rumble and chucks out a bunch of up and comers, wins a Battle Royale at Wrestlemania and sticks around in the main event scene constantly, he's not as bad as Kane and Big Show. His worst crime is not putting over Bray Wyatt (though everyone seems to be guilty of that) and beating Neville at a house show in a close match.
That being said, I'm fine with him not showing up again outside of special apperances and eventual HOF induction.

You know, annoying heel referee wouldn't be bad either. If people are tired of him in the ring, make him a crooked ref. That's refreshing...

Well, the survey says, we didn't want him, but he's back either way.

Fozzy has no tour dates scheduled at all this year, thus far. That's not to say they won't play, but usually they'd have some kind of festival lined up for the spring already. They've kept a pretty solid tour schedule going for years now, I don't like their music at all but it's pretty awesome that Jericho is in a legitimate band that plays all over the place. But, I'd like them to take a break so Jericho can get a good year in as a wrestler and put some of that creativity into wrestling.

If he could somehow duplicate the awesome SRS Jericho run of 08 (or whatever it was) I'd love it. I just don't think he can pull it off that well anymore. This is what I was thinking as well. If he can pull off another heel reinvention and stop being midlife crisis f***ing "cool dad" Jericho, I'd be inclined to vote maybe. Strong no from me.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for a full-time run, because I feel like what's really held back his runs from 2012-now is that he's never been around long enough to really do much character or storyline-wise. You could make an argument for the initial 2012-2013ish run and for the initial face run after that (since it was the first time he'd been Y2J since, like, 2007), but if I recall he wasn't really working as a face before the SRS heel turn either.
If he can do another total reinvention I'll be happy; if it's just another nostalgia run, then he should've stayed touring. He's already exhausted the Y2J nostalgia and honestly, most of his goodwill with the IWC, so he really needs to shake things up drastically to keep it interesting if this is going to be a full-time retirement run.
He just needs a new aesthetic all around. He can keep the variants on the light-up jackets, but for crying out loud, his titantron still has the SAVE_US.Y2J code in it.

He should play on the "Cool dad" moniker that people give him. Like some Mr. Belding tier geek, that really tries hard to look/sound relevant.

Jericho's just here to take up a spot in the Rumble match, take up a spot on the Wrestlemania card, and get pinned by someone in the midcard that he thinks would be fun to work with before going back to being house show exclusive.

In some ways it might be less annoying than his occasional appearances, since they could actually do something with him.
If any of the NJPW related rumors are true, that also brings up some interesting possibilities of matches.

His Schedule I would like to see:
Royal Rumble Match Fastlane vs. Sheamus (Due to Jericho eliminating him at the Rumble, as payback for 2012) Wrestlemania vs. Rusev for the United States Championship. Jericho defeats Del Rio earlier, loses to Rusev) Extreme Rules rematch vs. Rusev, Rusev destroys him in an extreme rules match. Returns at Payback, costs Ambrose the IC title turning heel. Money in the Bank, Jericho wins the briefcase. Summerslam vs. Ambrose (wins) Night of Champions, defeats whoever is IC Champion.
Jericho has the IC title and briefcase while being booked as a main eventer elevating the IC title as SRS Jericho. Feuds with Cena for the IC over the fall. Enters the Rumble at #1. Is the runner-up. Wins #1 contender match at Fastlane. Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 33.
Yes, this whole run is to rebuild Chris Jericho.

I don't like his new gimmick as the personification of "diminishing returns."

In a veteran role I think he could be useful, I could see him feuding and giving a rub to people like Tyler Breeze and Kevin Owens.

If he's going to be full time I'd take Jericho back in a heart beat. Hopefully not the Y2J character though, it's a nicknamed based on the Y2K crisis and that hasn't been a concern in over 16 years now, my high school students had never even heard of it. The Y2J nonsense has to go and he needs to reinvent himself, either as another form of SRS Jericho or some other gimmick. I personally think he could play a heel who thinks he's still the cool 25 year old guy he was way back in the day, it seems to pretty much be his personality anyways.
This thread is funny though, half of you guy say that beating Jericho means nothing because he puts everyone over and the other half are saying you don't want him back because he doesn't put the young guys over. It can't be both ways. The guy put Fandango over in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania, think about that for a second, Fandango can't even get into Heath Slater's JOB squad at this point in his career and a few years ago he went over the former Undisputed Champion at the biggest show of the year. Jericho will put guys over.
A full time return would also allow stories to be built around him so maybe he has an angle with Neville where he beats Neville a bunch of times using his veteran knowledge and cheating to get it done and then Neville eventually learns some things from Jericho and uses it against him. It's a simple angle but it gets Neville over and it gives Jericho some credibility. The guy had his legs cut out from under him for almost his entire prime, whether in WCW or WWF/E, and he's still not that old. If Jericho can give you two good years, I think you take them.
Also keep this in mind, Jericho is a really proud guy. When he came back in 2007 he realized that the rockstar character wasn't over anymore and changed it up. Is he really going to come in and do a half-assed nostalgia act that isn't over if he's going to be full time? Jericho is really in tune with his response from the audience and I don't think silence will sit well with him, he's going to change it up until he gets over again, he's done it before. If you really want to put him in the tag ranks with either Big Show or Miz, both are doing pretty much nothing right now.

A proper Jericho run, with good angles/stories, matches and good booking. That's something I'd always be up for. These short little returns where he gets beaten repeatedly (granted because of his selflessness in the ring) have grown stale.
