Michael Jackson was accused by two kids from families with highly suspicious motivations. Cosby has been accused by 50 women. The sheer weight of numbers indicates a pattern of behaviour over a long period of time. I doubt it's got much to do with any comeback. These stories have been following him for many years. It's not surprising the accusers didn't say anything until now. Back in the day, he was a powerful figure in entertainment and they would have been crushed. When several accusers come forward, it gives them more power to take a stand and tell their stories with less fear. Exactly my point. Regardless of the circumstances or how powerful any individuals is, if a woman is actually raped they're not just going to stand idly by and keep their mouths shut while it happens to someone else. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and we saw how Michael Jackson's name was destroyed over accusations without evidence, Kobe's name was slandered, and of course now Cosby is going through the same process. Something about the whole ordeal just seems very, very suspicious to me because I just refuse to believe that this would be kept under wraps for so long. I could be wrong though.

I'm sure they weren't remaining quiet by choice, but felt they wouldn't have stood a chance going up against someone of his influence. There's also the shame factor that comes with rape and sexual assault, in a legal system which is still significantly apathetic and unsympathetic towards such victims.

I am not attempting to start an argument over this. But does anyone find it weird that the very second he starts a comeback all of a sudden this comes out? I am not saying I condone rape, however, it's not unusual for two consenting adults to engage in sexual activity under the influence of drugs. We hear about it all the time in news reports, sometimes television shows, etc. So why are the women crying rape now? Why didn't they say anything when it actually happened? If the most recent one was in 2005, why say something now? You mean ten years later a woman just remembers "Oh, I was raped! and Cosby did it!" Something about this smells very, very fishy to me and I am not even sure if I believe Bill raped anyone. The media will twist and turn any form of information in order to support its narrative. We saw the very same thing with Michael Jackson. I firmly believe this is about money and not about actual justice. If you f*** under the influence, you legally have not given consent. That's rape. Since Cosby has actually admitted to giving women drugs to f*** them, yeah he's a rapist. Not to mention, Cosby was accused of rape many years ago (as in, around 1992) but he paid them off. It's rape culture at its worst. Nobody believes or even listens to rape victims, especially if they're women.
