Really? Where are the people calling out Rodgers When he throws a bitch fit and ignoring people who ask for an autograph when he loses? Including a cancer patient who he conveniently "didn't see." Where are those people? Or when he threw a tantrum and broke a tablet after an INT? Where are people saying he has to act more professional after he does his lame ass discount doublecheck taunt? Where are the people calling Rivers out for his awful attitude, especially when it costs his team games? Or Andy Dalton squirting some over comments JJ Watt made? And do I need to even mention Roethlisberger. A man who commited the ultimate crime. Twice. I'll tell you where they are: no-f******-where. Yet, when someone like Cam Newton or Richard Sherman dares to think that they might be pretty good, and then they have a bad game, they HAVE to show professional behavior at all times. No exceptions. Or risk everyone judging them, their backgrounds, and they're families without actually knowing the first thing about them away from the field or a microphone. You want people to eat crow after setbacks and conduct themselves in a certain way, fine. However, a lot of fans and reporters pick and choose who they want to be humble and who can get a pass, and there is a troubling pattern with that standard in terms of race from what I have seen. Again, you're looking for other examples and comparing Cam to other people to justify his actions. I understand it hurts when your team loses, but to spin this whole thing into a racism debate is silly. I guarantee, if you look, there are people who will call out those same people that you listed, the only difference is most of them didn't play on the biggest stage of them all. Race, gender, religion, creed, orientation or whatever has nothing to f***ing do with how many perceive what he did, and I find it to be a dangerous mindset to have of others who call someone out on conduct. Not everything boils down to hatred. I try to hold everyone accountable the same way. I like Cam and maybe that's why his conduct really made me sad to see him like that. And if it was up to me, Roethlisberger wouldn't even be playing.

Here is my issue with Cam's actions: All season he'd tear apart opposing fans, dance all over the field and was cocky as all hell. When you win, you earn some of that and his reposnse was simple and correct, don't like it, stop him which is what Denver did. Instead of showing the grace and class that comes with being an MVP and leader, that comes with downside of winning like he did, he literally fell on the ground in a fit and later walked off his required media duties in a huff. His own team showed how it should be done, Josh Norman was bawling on the sidelines but did the press stuff, Thomas Davis was majorly injured, spent reportedly 10 minutes being consoled by his coach but didn't hide from questions outside the press stuff, and their coaches stood there and took the questions and blame. Cam looks like an entitled brat that wanted to rage quit a game but could not. To have the season he did and end it with a childish fit on the biggest stage is more than sad, IMO. Pretty much. Are some of Newton's critics racist? Duh, of course they are, as were a chunk of Sherman's critics at the time Don't You Ever Talk About Me happened (which was awesome, BTW). And I don't blame him for being frustrated over getting his ass kicked by the Orange Crush all night either. But this is the job you signed up for, brotha. You need to learn to take your L's with grace.

I think everybody's missing the important thing. We're getting super close to the Super Bowl 51 Halftime Show! And don't give me that "we need a hard rock act" nonsense. Whatever band you can think of won't top Queen Bey.

She's great, very talented, but ho-ly moses is everything she does overrated to a laughable extent.

And that sucks, too.

I've never been particularly fussed about what plays halftime, but I just find that a heavier act outside the pop/rnb realms just gets me more hyped up based on personal preference.

But here's the thing about Cam Newton; there have been quarterbacks who had more embarrassing losses that handled themselves better. You don't throw a temper tantrum on the field and act like a little bitch in the press conference. Yeah, you lost, but sometimes you have to grin and bear it, even if you don't want to.
I lost a lot of respect for Newton last night, not just because he laid an egg when it mattered most, but he came off such a whiner and a poor sport.
BTW, the reaction to Newton has been largely... how should I put this... interesting.

She's easily one of the best pop performers of her or any generation, so yes, I will keep calling her that.

I enjoyed Beyonce's halftime performances, but I can definitely get behind a Weird Al SB halftime show! Also people here have mentioned that Metallica should do a halftime show. Make no mistake, that would kick way too much ass.

Congrats to the Broncos on a well-played win. I don't think that game was dull at all. It wasn't a pass-heavy game with an inflated score, but it wasn't like a 9-3 game or something. This was a defensive game where two quarterbacks were thrown around by vicious defenses that used great pass rushes. As it so happens, Denver's defense played the better game, and that's what really put them over the top.

She's a great singer and has a ton of talent, but she's treated like some kind of untouchable icon. I understand "different strokes" and all that, but the hype machine with her is ridiculous

I was moreso pointing out the other side to the Newton debate.

It's unfortunate, but you really can't deny that it's happening. Not by everybody, maybe not by you or really anybody on this board for that matter, but it's out there. I'm about to go work with a bunch of racists and I'm sure in gonna here it all day.

Cam shook hands with the winners, answered some questions (he gave the short ones everyone seems to love on NBA sideline interviews) & left. Should he have given em some better answers? Maybe. But losing respect, he needs to handle himself with more class, & all that other stuff? lol

Here's the reason why Cam suddenly walked out of the post-game interview:
That was Broncos CB Chris Harris asking the questions.

Here's the reason why Cam suddenly walked out of the post-game interview: That was Broncos CB Chris Harris asking the questions. That was him doing his press conference, not asking the questions. Earlier in the press conference they announced Harris, Josh Norman and one other person beside Cam we're doing their media duties at different spots in the area over the loud speaker.

As impossible as it would be because of her relative lack of fame, I still marked out with the idea of Janelle Monae being part of a half time show one day.
