I want to see the NFL go with a different concept for at least 1 Halftime Show. Like bring in Penn and Teller for a 10 minute spotfest and have a good old fashioned fireworks/laser show to end it.
And I love the idea of having Weird Al do 3 or 4 of his songs with the bands being spoofed showing up to help him. That would make a show for the ages.

First off congrats to the Panthers' and their fans on a hell of a season. Kinda scary what they will be able to do going forward now that they have actual cap room. And Cam, hey man you gotta take the good with the bad. Can't tell everyone "hey you don't want me to do it stop me" and then when they do you bury your head in the sand. He'll be back.
As for my boys, thank you. This one felt good. As much as 2013 was a blast, learned then that style points don't win in the NFL. Defense does. Get Von and Malik signed and just get us average QB play (and hope the NFL don't change 10 more rules favoring offense this offseason) and maybe do it again next year.

I respect Cam and have no issue with how he carries himself when others criticize him, but damn...dude was in a fetal position on the sidelines on air. Cmon man.

It's almost cathartic to see Denver win, since lots of people (Including some on this forum), thought the Panthers would run all over them.

DESTRUCTION OF A OFFENSIVE LINE
that was denver's way to win SB50! an unbelievable number of times the broncos OF tore ROUND the panthers DF, far too weak and newton was far too slow with a lot of plays!
and carolina had their worst game in THREE SEASONS, their swagger crushed in that first quarter, and they never recovered after that!
but well done to the denver broncos and to peyton manning

Is anyone else upset that Peyton Manning didn't do all of his post game interviews as the Nationwide jingle.

So all those kids are thinking about their parents having sex. And what, there were no Patriots baby's last year? Must have been too cold. Everyone in New England waited until May to conceive Super Bowl babies. You know, when it was warm enough for the dads' testicles to descend again.

Tough game to watch, but the better team won.
However, despite that, the complete disrespect I am seeing from Denver players, media, and fans over us really is starting to make me hope they finish last next season.
And I honestly hate saying that about a team where normally, they are very respectful.

You'll have to excuse me if I'm regurgitating a lot of points that have already been made, but I've got a lot of takeaways from Super Bowl 50.
- Look, Cam Newton, if you want to tell people that don't like your dancing "If you don't like it, keep me out", if you want to call LeBron James "the Cam Newton of power forwards", then you have to be ready to take your medicine. On so many levels, Cam Newton embarrassed himself on a global stage Sunday night. From the way he performed on the field - absolutely pissing his pants in the biggest game of his career, to the way he conducted himself in the press conference, giving curt one- or two-word answers and storming off when the questions were absolutely harmless and inoffensive, he really handled himself poorly. I guess in many ways, it reminded me of a LeBron James performance, specifically when James crumbled apart during the 2011 NBA Finals after an entire 11 months of bravado and celebration about how he and the Heat were destined to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, only to get salty and act like a self-centered, entitled prick in the postgame press conference after losing to the Mavericks in game six. So yeah, I guess I see your comparison, Cam.
And that's before we get to the way he ducked out of attempting to recover the fumble with the Super Bowl hanging in the balance. That's a 50-50 ball with a world championship on the line, and he took himself out of the play. Moreover, look at Newton's stat line. 18-for-41 for 265 yards with one interception and two lost fumbles. There are definitely worse single performances by a quarterback in Super Bowl history, but for a guy who won 48 out of 50 votes for Most Valuable Player, and who fancies himself as the greatest thing walking, that cannot be how you show up to the single biggest game of your professional career.
- Congratulations are in order for the Denver Broncos. Time and again I thought they were destined to disaster because of the failings of their quarterback, and while an even halfway-competent quarterback would have probably blown the doors off of the Panthers Sunday night, Peyton Manning was just not horrible enough to lose it for them. Don't get me wrong, he tried, with his interception and two fumbles, but he did just enough to not lose them the game.
- That said, I think it's time for Manning to ride off into the sunset. His tank isn't just empty, it's bone dry and has been since the middle of the 2014 season. Between him and Newton, Super Bowl 50 set the quarterback position back almost two decades. For large portions of the game, I thought I had traveled back in time to 1996, when quarterbacks were ancillary pieces and defenses ruled the day, when you could win a game with less than 200 yards of total offense or with a quarterback who is air-mailing easy completion after easy completion. Manning's one of the all-time greats - if I had to cobble together a list, he's probably a top-four all-time quarterback - but at some point your heart sinks even for your blood rival. I didn't like watching Derek Jeter bat .256 and boot routine ground balls in his final season, I didn't like watching Ray Lewis whiff on easy tackles and chase 20 yards behind a tight end running open down the seam, and I don't like watching Peyton Manning do a Brandon Weeden impersonation.
- I guess after a decade of having some of the greatest Super Bowls ever (XLII, XLIII, XLIV, XLV, XLVI, XLVII, XLIX), we were bound for a stinker, and that's precisely what we got last night. What a hideous game. I've already mentioned the inept quarterback play, but it just felt like outside of Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, nobody showed up ready to play. You had kickers dinging easy field goal attempts off the uprights, running backs fumbling time and again, cornerbacks positively losing their minds and getting two personal foul penalties in the first half, punt coverage players basically stopping on the play ... it was 90 players doing everything possible to fall all over themselves in front of 100 million people. But as I said, we were due a crappy game, because honestly, we've had maybe four (XL, XLI, XLVIII, 50) in the last 14 years.

The 49ers stadium has been plagued by turf issues since it opened.

And I honestly hate saying that about a team where normally, they are very respectful. A lot of Denver players felt completely disrespected by Carolina players during the two-week period leading up to the game. So turnabout is fair play. If anything, it gave the Denver D more incentive to completely demolish Carolina. Locker room material if you will.

We're suppose to back Cam because he heard someone from the other team during the interview and he got upset? The dude that would go out of his way to dance all over the field after scoring? Sounds like a case of being able to dish it out but not take it.

The only bit of disrespect I heard was Josh Norton telling Emmanuel Sanders that he needs to practice more and that was only after Sanders said that Norman was just a creation by the media. The hype behind a team from the media is one thing, but don't take it out on the players and fans, which your team seems to be reveling in doing.

The term spoiled brat is kinda fitting for him right now. Not saying it's going to define his career, but hey when you talk shit and get it shoved up your ass it's time to take your medicine. Walk away like he did and the term fits.
