We're suppose to back Cam because he heard someone from the other team during the interview and he got upset? The dude that would go out of his way to dance all over the field after scoring? Sounds like a case of being able to dish it out but not take it. Hate to admit it but I watched the twin idiots on ESPN 2 today and I actually agree with Stephen A. on something. The term spoiled brat is kinda fitting for him right now. Not saying it's going to define his career, but hey when you talk shit and get it shoved up your ass it's time to take your medicine. Walk away like he did and the term fits. Cam walking away from the interview was stupid as hell and immature, but I don't think I heard a single insult from Cam towards the Denver players. And then in the game, Denver decides to "hey, let's mock the Panthers by doing their moves".

I'm not gonna sit here and say that what Cam did was right. Because it wasn't. At the end of the day, you are a pro athlete getting paid millions. If you are gonna dance and dab and do all this other stuff, you gotta accept when you caught an L.
THAT BEING SAID, certain parts of the media are having an absolute field day with some nicely veiled racism and painting the narrative of Cam being an arrogant (black) prick that's all talk. Peyton Manning put over Cam and said he congratulated him immediately after the game. Why isn't that covered everywhere instead of Cam walking off because he didn't want to lose his mind in front of the cameras and give all these people even more ammo to use than what he's given them with this?
I know, it's the media and that's how it works but I'm actually starting to get really mad in this case.

I had this feeling leading up to the Super Bowl that this would occur if the Panthers lost, and to be frank, Cam has done nothing to dispel the narrative by acting the way he did during the Press Conference. The Media did the same thing to Lebron and the Miami Heat when, after the Decision, they ended up collapsing in the Finals against the Mavericks. The unfortunate fact is when you're presenting yourself as the face of the sport, people are going to look for reasons to tear you down. That is unavoidable, and the only way to combat it is by showing your true character when you come up short.

And again, I'm not saying he shouldn't be taken to task for it. He acted childish. That's without question. He deserves to get some shit and plenty of it. My point is, some folks are gonna do the most with it because they've been out to get this man since he first started dabbing. It's not what you do, it's how you go about it. And the way some places have gone about it, they've made it kinda f***ing clear that this goes a bit further than football.

I know, it's the media and that's how it works but I'm actually starting to get really mad in this case. Why does the media go crazy when the mayor is caught using public money to pay for his vacations to Florida but there's not a peep to be heard when he cuts a ribbon at a new business in the city? This has been going on since Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press. If you make a very public fool of yourself, as Cam Newton did on the field and in his postgame press conference, that's going to draw a lot more eyes than him shaking hands with the opposing team's quarterback, which happens at basically the end of every football game. When Bill Belichick walked off the field following the Patriots' defeat in Super Bowl XLII, he was lambasted by the whole world for appearing to be a sore loser. People still drive that point home, despite the fact that within hours, it was reported that Belichick met Tom Coughlin in the bowels of University of Phoenix Stadium and congratulated him on the victory. It's not a race thing, it's what's going to draw eyes to your outlet. And on top of it not being entirely a race thing with Cam Newton, why is it that people are so ready to jump on Cam Newton for losing the Super Bowl but there wasn't nearly the same (or really any) ferocity when Colin Kapernick lost Super Bowl XLVII or Russell Wilson lost Super Bowl XLIX? It's because of Newton's attitude and his front-runner personality. The guy can give it all day long but the moment somebody gives it back to him, he acts out the way we saw him act out Sunday night, and when people see that, they want to see you fail. It's the same reason why so many people wanted to see LeBron James fail after throwing in with the Miami Heat, because he's fine throwing it in everybody's faces when he wins, but when he loses, he basically mocks every middle- and lower-class NBA fan by saying that he'll wake up tomorrow morning with the same lavish life while they'll still wake up with their own personal problems. If you're going to give it, you've got to be able to take it, and Cam Newton clearly can't take it yet.

Cam walking away from the interview was stupid as hell and immature, but I don't think I heard a single insult from Cam towards the Denver players. And then in the game, Denver decides to "hey, let's mock the Panthers by doing their moves". When asked numerous times during the press conference about the game he made a point to talk how it was their mistakes and nothing special Denver did that decided the game. When he overheard Chris Harris say the plan was to eliminate the running game and make him beat the Broncos in the passing game (which is what happened and he couldn't do it) he shakes his head and says "I"m done man" leaves and doesn't say one more word the rest of the night. And hey to quote Cam...you don't want them doing your moves, make them stop. In 98 Broncos opponents were constantly mimicking the mile high salute. Wanna celebrate every little accomplishment on the field expect to be mocked when you shit the bed. Happens all the time. No, Cam said if you don't want him doing his moves, stop them. I'm gonna be honest, I'm always going to hate it (even from my own team that did it sometimes) when teams steal other team's known moves right in front of that team. I don't mind taunting, but when you taunt using their own moves to their faces instead of Denver coming up with something on their own, I do kind of have a problem with that and it just seems as though you are being an ass to the fans too. Just personal preference. Like I said, I do not excuse what Cam Newton did. But I have asked, when did the Carolina team themselves show disrespect towards Denver before the game. Because I keep hearing that Denver is only trying to serve Carolina it's own medicine for their disrespect towards them, so where is it? And don't give me the BS that Carolina being loose during the Super Bowl is a personal swipe because let's be honest, that's how some teams are for EVERY game.

For what was going on during the game..like I said every team does that, mocks the other teams celebratory moves. This wasn't unique to this game. Hell I think the stupid jump up and signal first down move everyone does every other first down is silly. Yet that silly move was enough to get a 15 yard flag thrown cause it pissed someone off. If something like that is gonna set a player off, how about 2 weeks of disrespect from the national media (note not the panthers go back and look never accused them of disrespecting the Broncos) and most football fans that they were going to get trucked...completely disregarding what Denver had done this year. Add this to the fact that this guy who's teams had accomplished nothing until this season thinks that Lebron James should be called the Cam Newton of power forwards, goes out and completely shits himself when it counts and then the time comes to maybe give some credit to the team that beat him and he just goes "nope nothing they did...all our mistakes" and bails. This might be the reason that he's getting some grief after the fact. Many have said it I'll say it again. You can't just be a good winner. Josh Norman showed me something. He got into some shit talking but answered questions after like an adult. Thomas Davis same deal, he manned up. Cam's just proven up to this point he can't or won't do it yet. You're asking where people have said the Panthers disrespected the Broncos. Honestly I haven't seen one person say that happened. What most are saying is one team or maybe even one player started believing his own hype a bit too much, got punched in the nose, and instead of getting up brushing himself off and acting like the face and leader of his team and the heir apparent to the face of the NFL, pouted and took his ball and went home.

Ask and ye shall receive. A lot of Denver players felt completely disrespected by Carolina players during the two-week period leading up to the game. So turnabout is fair play. If anything, it gave the Denver D more incentive to completely demolish Carolina. Locker room material if you will. Let me say the following, what did Carolina do?

The only bit of disrespect I heard was Josh Norton telling Emmanuel Sanders that he needs to practice more and that was only after Sanders said that Norman was just a creation by the media. The hype behind a team from the media is one thing, but don't take it out on the players and fans, which your team seems to be reveling in doing. lol the Broncos aren't my team. I'm only repeating what I heard on the radio today. All I'm saying is talk shit, get hit. And that's what seems happened with the Panthers and Broncos.

I swear, when we were beaten by New England in 2004, they showed more f***ing class than your team did. Which is why I am going to celebrate next year when your team loses.

You can talk crap and create excuses but not take seeing others happy their team won. You can have fun but no one else, that is what this is about. I was having fun last night, I meant no disrespect and said as much but now I am pretty much pissed off so thanks. If the best you have is this attitude of disrespect because your team got beat, you need to re-evalute things. Done with this and you.

Everytime a team wins a championship there is some big mouth spouting off about being disrespected and no one believing in them and this is another one of those times.

Oh I can be happy for you guys, but do not throw it in my face, which is what you did. Fans can have fun, but don't throw it in other fans face unless they made some stupid proclamation and then throw it in that person's face. Like I said before, I felt very content when New England beats us in 2004 because unlike Broncos fans I am learning, they actually were nice about it. And of course, that is why I do defend New England fans here. I've learned that you see the true side of a team and it's fanbase when you get beat by them in a big game and I get to see the real Denver Broncos fans so I get to take back all those nice things I once said about them.
