I hope this is because the gloves cross thing he does which is also the signature of Styles.
AJ's gloves have huge merchandising potential. As for Cody, I like him but soured on a bit after his comments on that tough enough guy.

At least Moustache Guy wasn't 'my brother, watered down, with a less coherent premise.' And Dashing and masked Cody were each vastly superior gimmicks to either of those. Cody has gone through about 20 years' worth of gimmicks (probably closer to 10-15 in new money, to be fair) in about five years. |

Seems weird he would just blatantly state that on his actual Stardust twitter, because of that he will stay Stardust for longer and feud with El Torito for eternity.
I respect that he's attempted to take this further than just Goldust from space, but these days it seems you can only take a gimmick like that so far.
