Damn, so this is it. It sucks, but at least it's closer. And it'll be nice to do it in his home arena.

Great career. Shame it ended when he was just 34.

Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

He's retiring from WWE. I know he's going to wrestle again.

It doesn't suck. It's great news. It's great news that Bryan Danielson can live the rest of his life with his wife and dogs and future children in good health, not in a wheelchair and not (hopefully) with advanced CTE. As a fan would I like to see him more in the ring? Of course but as a human being I'm glad he's doing this.

On the one hand, this is obviously very sad news. Such a shame his career had to be cut short.
On the other hand, I'm happy that there is at least going to some closure and that he can hopefully look forward to a long and healthy life outside of the ring.

It's sad, but the man's health is more important. I'm glad he's doing this before he cripples himself or something.
That said, he was the best ever, and that can never be taken away from him.

So... could it be a work? It would be incredibly crass if it was.
