The wrong end can kill a great event and that is the story of this race for me. That last segment was amazing but I'd rather pluck my eyes out than Logano win.

In one of the most amazing Comebacks in Racing, James Hinchcliff goes from nearly being killed last year to starting on the pole for the 100th Indy 500. Amazing.

In one of the most amazing Comebacks in Racing, James Hinchcliff goes from nearly being killed last year to starting on the pole for the 100th Indy 500. Amazing. Those last 5 qualifying attempts were incredible. I marked when Hinch got the pole and he got it at a difference of .060 seconds compared to Newgarden's AVG lap time.

Could you imagine the uproar if someone like Pippa ended up winning?

The Indianapolis 500 is officially sold out, so in an unprecedented move, the IMS board announced that they are lifting the local blackout for the first time since 1950.
I'm personally very excited because I can finally watch it in full Sunday and not have to wait until night to do so.

There's a lot of stuff happening on track, and it's also a gigantic party in the stands. Where are you sitting for the 500? This is going to be the 21st 500 I've attended. Each year keeps getting better - you're going to have an awesome time.

Just about to start the 10 hour car ride to get there!

Of course, this is the weekend of the year that is essentially "Motorsport Christmas"... The Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Coca-Cola 600. Someone here is probably marathon-ing all three.

Someone here is probably marathon-ing all three. My brother is a big NASCAR fan, I finally got cable TV, and they are airing the Indy 500 live locally. I think I can pull off the gauntlet.
