Okay, I love Sunburst just for how adorably awkward he is.
Number'll be up soon

The family resemblance between Twilight and SA is obvious now

I was thinking Sunburst was more like a male Moondancer.

So, Spike basically got a promotion to Starlight's guardian or sth?

Final number for me is 7. Not the strongest premiere, but there were some things to like, and for this concept of Starlight needing to learn about Friendship, it goes in the right direction.

This does sound intriguing and all. Will be interesting to see my reaction to it in a couple of weeks.

A perfect chance to get Eric Idle squandered

Only read one book where the wizard was not the focus but I remember there being two graphic adventures that were a lot of fun.

Just saw Batman vs Superman. Won't spoil it, but let's just say that today has been a day of disappointment.

Okay this was a good premiere, I have mixed views, pros and cons.
Pros, Spike is not letting being a god in the Crystal go to his head. And he played a support rule here trying to help Starlight. Also Shining Armor is gaining a personality, a male character with a personality who would have thought. Only so far you can go with Big Mac, and Spike is just a kid.
I liked Starlight Glimmer in this episode, trying to fit in. I can't wait till she meets Discord. Starburst and Starlight could make a great team, he has the brains, she has the bran when is comes to magic, awesome one two match, if they ever realize that.
Cons, I don't like Twilight including Starburst has part of Starlight prudential lessons, that is a personnel thing she should have consulted Starlight with, I know her heart is in the right place, but she needs to realize, she reunited with her old friends out of her choice, no one made her.
Also the Mane 5 were just there, they really need to be there. Clearly passion was not into them in this episode, it is like those later seasons of Sailor Moon when the Inner Guardians got such a reduced role.
As for the baby, I have nothing against babies, but those types of characters really have no way of staying interesting in the long run. I hope and I doubt it, but I hope magically able to age quickly like Jake's kid in Adventure Time. If she can be close the CMC's age by season end, that would be good. Or at least when a magic spell makes her older.
That being said, it was an all right episode, but the real season of MLP never really begin until episode 3 when they do their normal episodes.
