Not to take anything away from DC but I will NEVER have the emotional connection to the DCEU that I have to the MCU. Which is funny because growing up I was a DC kid. The MCU took a bunch of characters I barely knew anything about and made me care about them, made me love them. I cried during this. Flat out cried because this is it, this is what I've been both dreading and anticipating because they aren't all going to make it out of this alive and I'm tearing up just thinking about that. Slightly off-topic, but this is why I say it can't be understated just how badly Warner Bros. dropped the ball with the DCEU: if Disney is the "House of Mouse", Marvel Studios is the "House" of making you invest real time, money, and love into characters you previously didn't give a shit about. They made Groot a household name. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. killed Superman and nobody cared.

Sometimes the comedy is overbearing, but I'll take comedy with heart over morose and soulless from Zack Snyder.

The fact that I feel so apathic to the fact that they made one...is kinda like the death of a part of my childhood.

Looks very corny especially compared to the badass Black Panther trailers from earlier this year. But as far as these team-up movies go, the best you can really hope for is an entertaining hot mess. You're either really underestimating this film or going out of your way to downplay it. There has never been a massive crossover film like this and it has been built up for nearly 10 years by way of a handful of popular and successful films (plus Thor 2). If anything, an entertaining hot mess, as you put it, is likely the worst we can hope for. Yeah, like, if nothing else, love or hate this movie, I can't imagine it'll be anything like I've ever seen before. Maybe in animation but there's just never been a live action superhero movie of this scale with this dynamic and developed of a cast coming together before or anything close.

If anything, an entertaining hot mess, as you put it, is likely the worst we can hope for. Don't bother, his whole schtick is that Marvel sucks and they are bribing people to trash DC. He's definitely never said that. He has said that he's not the biggest Marvel fan, but he never stated they bribed critics to trash DC. You're probably confusing him with me. While I've never said Marvel bribed anyone, I did state that professional critics were pro Marvel and trashed DC to prevent it from being a success. But that's another story. I just watched the trailer and I was very impressed. It looks really, really good. I wouldn't have included a shot of Vision having the Infinity Stone taken out of his head though. We all knew it was going to happen, however, definitely something that should've been saved for the actual movie.

Based on the Vanity Fair article I got the vibe that all the characters introduced in Phase One will be going away, at least for a while. James Gunn has confirmed he is writing and directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so I expect all of the Guardians to make it through relatively unharmed.

He's also consulting on this one which would make it strange if his first bit of advice was "Know what would be great for Guardians 3? If they all DIED! YEAH!".

The Russos really like Jeremy Renner and they know he got shafted by Whedon. With the others out of the way he may get an opportunity to shine. The man is an incredible actor. He deserves material to work with.

Steve, Tony, and Fury possibly dies as well, of course they come back via the Time or Soul stones. Steve passes the mantle of Captain America to Bucky, Tony becomes Director of Shield, and Fury either retires or opts to stay dead. There's a lot of interesting scenarios they can go with here.

If I'm being honest if I were putting this movie together I would kill Nick Fury as soon as I possibly could. Nothing against the character, not at all, but I both feel like he's served his purpose and his death would be an excellent, "Oh, SHIT!" moment to immediately establish Thanos with a bang.

His death has to have meaning and not be something as a shock. We haven't seen Fury since when? Age of Ultron? Jackson has two films left and we know he's going to be in Captain Marvel, my guess is he's possibly dying in this one since Captain Marvel takes place in the 90's I am guessing?
