What a guy. What a worker. That charisma. Them devastating moves Please God Hunter, give us Nakamura vs Itami soon! Top 5 match ever for me Hunter would probably put himself in a match against Nakamura. I wonder if Brock-Nakamura would work? Do their styles clash too much?

Has Alex Riley cried about this yet? I hope he does. And then, he gets put in a match against Nakamura. He'll be crying for sure afterward!

Rewatching the match now. The entrance gives me chills. Also, I had no idea he winked at the camera right before the bell.
Nak gets it, plain and simple.

Fantastic match but it wasn't 5 stars for me. Felt a little too spotfesty at times and it's really sad what passes for selling in wrestling these days. After getting the shit kicked and kneed out of him by Nakamura for like a minute straight (after all the forearms), Sami pops up within seconds for the big clothesline spot, then rips off like two or three straight moves while showing ZERO ill effects from the beatdown he just got. Stuff like that kills it for me, BUT all that said, still, fantastic mach (just not perfect). Great way to introduce Nakamura to the NXT/WWE universe and his theme music is unbelievable. Nakamura hitting a Regal Plex, then getting caught with a Blue Thunder Bomb just seconds later really took me out of it as well. No matter how great a match and the wrestlers are, that takes away from things.

I know Zayn and Nakamura no sold a few things but for his debut, it felt appropriate to have it over the top.

That was my first time ever seeing Nakamura. I mean this with all honesty.
I very much hope they pull a WM 9 Sunday night, with him in the Hogan role.
Also, Sami Zayn very much pulled his weight. He has a big night Sunday and still left in 100% out there to make Nakamura's debut mean something. What a pro. You could tell Nakamura felt the same way after the match.

It only works for me if it's based in strikes, and if both guys after sell the exchange, and even then it's more like something I have to learn to live with rather than something I want to see. This was a nasty suplex that Sami immediately popped up from and didn't sell after he hit the BTB. These guys aren't perfect, it's cool. They're caught up in the match and making fans pop, once in a while a bit of psychology slips.

I feel like some of you guys want a 3 minute match based on selling lol
He got struck in the face, he can't recover from that in 3 seconds! That should've been the match!

He is so cool. I've only ever seen like 3 of his matches but I always think he's actually going to legit knock someone's head off. I'm not sure if that's good or bad? Haha

I thought he was fantastic. I do wonder how his strongstyle will mix with/worth with WWE performers on the main roster. I think there are a lot of people who he will have a hard time having a really good match with, but he'll probably be able to adjust.

It feels dope as hell to see so many people discover Nakamura for the first time. Like seeing your favorite indie band make it big.

Well, they did have a match in NJPW over a decade ago. Nakamura was still he Supernova-rookie with amateur wrestling/MMA chops and Brock was in it for the money and nothing else so it blew. Shinskewl vs Suplex City Mayor though? That could rock big time. I wonder if Nakamura's sour on Brock though, given that he did leave NJPW in a bad situation when he did.

Haha At the finish, from the crispness of the strike to Zayn's selling, I legit thought Zayn had a concussion. I was relieved when it was clear he didn't. They sucked me in. I can't add much that wasn't said already in the thread. I had never seen a Nakamura match before, but I'm a fan. And Zayn will be a star if they even try with him at all. Even if Wrestlemania is terrible, that match will have given me enough reminder of why I watch this crazy stuff in the first place. It had everything. And never has a goofy chant like "Fight For-ev-er" so aptly reflected my feelings on this match as it happened.

Yeah that knee in the back of the head at the end was scary because Zayn (literally) couldn't see it coming. Obviously the crazy crowd helped the match too. Just hope he stills gets over in front of the masses of unfamiliar fans.

This is such a minor thing in the overall scheme of the match, but I liked how Sami didn't wait for Shinsuke to hit the turnbuckles and turn around before running after him to attempt the helluva kick. That made Nakamura look like a threat almost as much as his hellacious offense.

Has there been any updates on Nakamuras health situation? The word early last year was that he could barely walk when not wrestling....but luckily he's been toning down his style lately
