I liked the match, some amazing moments and it's my first time seeing Nakamura and I'm excited to see what lies in store for him. But.. I hated the 10 minute exchange of forearm shots to the head. In wrestling you always have to suspend belief. That's a given. But the great wrestling matches are where you don't get taken out of it, and that did it for me. It looked so phoney and dumb. Yeah in the course of a match a little boo/yay punch exchange can work but I'm never a fan of "letting" your opponent hit you and then hitting him back and then just standing there. Especially for that long.

Let's cut back on attacking people for either having opinions against the popular view or saying they'll be attacked for having opinions against the popular view. I'd like to think most of us are above that sort of thing here. Also, I know appreciation threads aren't exactly a decisive topic here but it's pretty easy to make a different thread instead of going to one titled "Appreciation thread" and attempting to derail it. Again, most of us are better than that. I wasn't trying to derail anything. I offered my opinion on a wrestler that I was watching for the first time. I didn't want to clutter up the message board by creating another topic and put it in here. A message board is for people of differing opinions to discuss, analyze, explain things, etc. Just because a few people take it seriously doesn't mean somebody was trying to "derail" it.

The idea is to show who's tougher/who's more of a man by taking your opponent's best shot, shrugging it off, and asking for more, so they do it a lot. It's a different psychology.

Which is why, when Misawa & Kawada had exhanges and Kawada did his spot where he went to hit back but just winced in pain and didn't, it was a big deal. I don't mind those exchanges.

Yeah I've never been a fan of that kind of stuff. Smacking the shit out of each other never really appealed to me. I'm more into movezz and holds and stuff.

If I had to show someone why I love wrestling, I'd show them Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sami Zayn.
Then probably something like Wee-L-C
