That's what Mania is all about. Legit unexpected feel good moments, and nobody deserved a moment more than that dude for all the crap he had to go through for years.

I'm happy that he's on a better place both personally and professionally.

I think he learned from the Kane storyline how to handle himself better politically. Like he knows which storylines to reject and which could help him.

Also mildly ironic that Ryder did Reigns' entire plotline better than he did.

Let the record show- even if you're on Reigns's side here- the "WWE didn't have enough time to make a good challenger if the fans didn't take to him" arguing point DIED at that moment.

They took Zack Ryder from dark matches and C-shows and made him not just an IC Title contender, not just "a potential favorite", but actually good enough to WIN the belt, and they literally did all of it IN TWO WEEKS.

my guess if it happens is Owens in the rematch or Baron Corbin's first main roster singles match.

I think I realised yesterday how much of a damn mark I still am for the guy, because him winning that match was my biggest reaction of the whole night, even above Shane jumping off the Cell.

And it probably comes down to the fact that I've watched Ryder go through legit struggles, what with the way his 2011 push fell to pieces almost as soon as the calendar ticked over to 2012, which led to the gradual mental breakdown on social media that led to "PUSH ME" trunks on TV and a straight out backlash against the guy for constantly whining about his spot. Somewhere along the line, he got his shit together and grew up. Yeah, he still wasn't on TV regularly, but he seemed at peace with things, and was even willing to go back to developmental to help mentor Mojo Rawley with the Hype Bros team.

I'm just so happy for the guy. He could lose the belt tonight on RAW and I wouldn't even be mad. Because for one night, in front of the biggest crowd in North American wrestling history, he was a champion.
