The Manticore did a bow at the end of the performance. I'm sure he/she would have spit Trixie out if she was in there for too long. So she knew she had an out all along.  |

"Princess Spike": Personally, I think this episode is just...average. My biggest problem with this one is the decisions that lead to the catastrophe at the end were ones that Spike made because he wanted to do a good thing for Twilight. When he decided to use his position to get favors for himself...that part was too small to be of any real consequence for anything. The moral might have come across better if Spike became greedier earlier. Otherwise, there was still some fun stuff (Sleepy Twi, seeing Fancypants again, a good Cadance portrayal, the various delegates) to not make this a total clunker. C.  The TLML Adventures Part 67Lyra came back to Canterlot to join her friends in attending the first Grand Equestria Pony Summit.    After hearing the introduction, the four went to see what the summit had to offer. Twinkleshine was content in watching a game of polo...  While Lemon Hearts and Minuette tried one final time to get back in touch with their former friend Twilight...only to be sent back down again...   Later that day the main reception room was flooded, a small catastrophe that was solved quickly however, leading to a nice moment...   After that was averted, the four friends spend some wonderful three days together. Sadly, after reiterating what happened on the first day, the four came to the conclusion that there is no way that they could hope to rekindle their friendship with Twilight, so no further attempts should be made on sth that will never happen. |
