Are we just going to have location based prequels set during the uninteresting period for all the major DC heroes? "Shades of Graysons" where we follow a young Robin and his family enduring the trials and tribulations of circus life. "Us and Themyscira" which follows a Young Wonder Woman learning diplomacy and her quest to impress Hippolyta. "As Right as Rayner" with a young Kyle Rayner juggling his career as a graphic artist and hobbies in North Hollywood. Flash is cancelled to make way for a show where Barry Allen is working toward his doctorate. Anyway, I'm taking it between this and the Candle Cove adaptation Syfy's really desperate for a hit right now.

Candle Cove? Hell, that's only interesting for the two second Gotcha at the end of the short story. How could that possibly sustain AN episode, let alone a show?

Just like every single time that some other creepypasta writer tries to "improve it" by adding lore or a sequel it just diminishes the original because the entire reason the original works is {Spoiler}because there is such a lack of information and you don't know what's going on.
Was it really a show, was it a mass hallucination, was it something darker? no one knows... that's what makes it eerie if it was just a crazy guys puppet show... yeah it's kinda spooky I guess that the dudes crazy but that makes it less spooky, because there is an answer... the more answers there are the less spooky/scary something is.

First episode. Krypton explodes. The end.
Unless they do the series more of a leading up to what caused Krypton to blow up. Which might be interesting.

Just give Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman/etc. the same love and attention that Flash gets on TV instead of all this dumb spinoff crap.

Krypton explodes. Superman escapes.
That's all you need to know about that planet.

Wouldn't it be ironic or interesting if they did something that showed that Superman's Grandpa somehow caused the chain reaction that lead to the destruction of Krypton?

This should be set in the Red Son continuity, The House of L stands for Luthor.
Also, Superman should still be alive, living in a cave as a crazy hermit.
I will only watch Krypton if we get to see a live adaption of Bearded Idiot.

I'd be ok with this if it eventually shows that the reason Kypton blew up was because Superman's grandpa pissed off the Galactic Empire and the Death Star fired on the planet.

Krypton could work if it's an alternate continuity where Jor-El sends Kal-El off in that escape shuttle, but then it turns out he was wrong about Krypton blowing up. Now he has to live with being known as the dumb ass who was wrong about his much touted doomsday scenario and shot his infant son into space.

Or they blow everyone's minds and it turns out it was done by Ronan, therefore meaning the Marvel and DC movies have been in the same continuity the whole time.

I'll ask the same question I always ask whenever a new Superman project is announced - who's playing Chloe Sullivan?

I'm not watching this, just like I don't watch Gotham.
I don't want shows about how the character became the character. I just want a show about the character.
