Krypton could work if it's an alternate continuity where Jor-El sends Kal-El off in that escape shuttle, but then it turns out he was wrong about Krypton blowing up. Now he has to live with being known as the dumb ass who was wrong about his much touted doomsday scenario and shot his infant son into space. With the exception of launching Clark into space, that's pretty much the whole Jor-El arc in "The Man Who Has Everything"

I'm not watching this, just like I don't watch Gotham. I don't want shows about how the character became the character. I just want a show about the character. We've all seen origin stories way too much. They are a crutch at this point. This isn't even an origin, it is about Superman's grandparents by the looks of it. Who cares about this honestly?

I know this has been addressed in the comics, but wonder if this will be the first adaptation to answer the question of, "So where the hell was Krypton's quadrant's Green Lantern?"

Kal-El's grandpappy's name should be "Prequ-El"

And we have a trailer.... www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/krypton/241974/krypton-tv-series-trailer-arrivesIt looks quite good. One would've thought a TV budget would hurt a project like this, but there's a lot in there that just looks great. {Spoiler}I'd forgotten that it was about Superman's grandfather - which is odd since the grandfather is talking to Kal-El in the narration. A little eye roll worthy when you find out who his love interest is.
Oh, and BOTTLE CITY SIGHTING. Meaning a certain.....villain may very well be part of this too, which is a delight to know.

The look of the series is interesting. I'm hoping it's more weird space opera like Deep Space 9, Babylon 5 and others with less comic references.

"Shades of Graysons" where we follow a young Robin and his family enduring the trials and tribulations of circus life. This almost happened 5 years ago on the CW. There was a plot synopsis and official press release and everything. Fortunately, someone told them it was stupid and they pulled the plug.
