Why is it called "The End"? Are they folding the NXT brand? It's likely in reference to the end of the Joe/Balor feud. That's been going for something like the last nine months if you count their teaming in the Dusty Classic as part of it.

Does anyone know what the song is on the NXT merch commercial? 'Taller than the empire state'
Tried Shazaming it with no luck so guessing it's a CFO thing.

As confirmed on NXT TV this week, Andrade Almas will be making his TV debut on this card, and William Regal has just stated on Twitter that his opponent will be Tye Dillinger.

With Breeze on the main roster it is unfortunate that Tye became the fall guy. Somebody needs to have that position, I understand that, but Tye is great

Was hoping it'd be a member of the former BAMF to take the fall against him. Wanna see Tye move into a title contention role soon here with an actual fued. Really impressing me lately. Hope it's an actual match and not just a glorified squash.

Aries match against Nakamura is going to be what makes or breaks this guy in NXT. His performance thus far has just been terrible. He needs to really step it up because if I'm the one that signed him he ain't giving me my roi. He's slow, lots of rest holds, one or two high impact moves and thats it. Needs a new finisher as well. Has this guy always been this way or did TNA suck the life out of him?

Kind of off-topic, but here's a heads up to anyone who might be going to the Atlanta NXT show on Saturday: Asuka apparently is no longer advertised to appear. I'm pretty disappointed over this, to say the least. No Way Jose is going to be there, so that makes it even worse.

Tye is a great opponent to establish a new guy, since he doesn't need to be protected, but he's not some jabroni either and has a good deal of experience under his belt.

Has this guy always been this way or did TNA suck the life out of him? Think we've been watching different shows. Aries has not been at the top of his game in-ring wise yet in NXT (but let's face it, the TV matches are generally very one-paced and his only Takeover match was against Baron Corbin) although his mic skills remain as great as they ever were. He's been fantastic wherever he's been, he was awesome in ROH, he was awesome in TNA and I'm sure he'll turn people's heads in NXT sooner or later. Don't get me wrong I've been disappointed in his run so far but "terrible" is far, far away from the word I would use to describe him.

I think the thing is, we know he can be amazing, and he's just been mediocre so far. Dude needs to heel it up more, although I'm sure him vs Nakamura will be good.

There's no way it's finishing up completely, but if there's going to be a bunch of talents getting called up for the brand split, it may be a bit of a rebooting period.

It's no secret Vince has resented NXT's success from day one, would we be really surprised to see him purposely decimate it by taking all its talent and putting them on RAW/SD? After all, he has previous form in regards to this sort of thing , see WCW. We haven't seen Triple H for a while (not even at the start of RAW for the Memorial Day tribute), and word is there are strong tensions behind the scenes with the return of Shane. Would it honestly be a stretch of the imagination to suggest that Shane has influenced Vince to cannibalise NXT? (for the foreseeable future anyway) and in turn developing major heat with HHH. Call me paranoid or crazy, but it all makes sense when you stop to think about it. This is a Vince McMahon play.

With all due respect, I find it hard to buy into conspiracy theories at the best of times, so I might wait for more evidence on it other than a few scattered interview grabs from people who likely know as much about the brand split as we do.
The only thing for certain is that NXT is scheduled for at least three TV taping blocks after Takeover, and have house shows scheduled after the draft into early August.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with the titles. Normally it's a case of the champion loses and moves up to the main roster, but now you're probably going to have all the main challengers going as well.
