His awful-looking offence, lack of selling, and terrible look has always been there for all to see. Its just that in the run in towards WM people were so busy hoping he would take Romans spot that the didn't notice for a while.

I've not soured, but Im not nearly as excited for him as I used to be. Maybe its the price of him being an uppermidcard/main event guy that he has to fit the WWE mold more.

It's weird. He's a good ring worker (I'm not saying he's the best but he's definitely nowhere near "bad" or even "below average"), he's good on the mic, and he can tell a story.
However, even though I still like him, it does kind of seem like those skills aren't showing up like they used to.
I'm probably in the minority on this, but at this point it's just time to take the L and turn him heel. If he's going to be booked like a baby bitch he should act like a baby bitch.

Combination of becoming a caricature of himself, combined with way too much losing with the Lesnar match capping off the whole thing.
I will say that in spite of it all, he deserves a ton of credit for getting Mitch the potted plant more over than most the roster in about two weeks. There's still a lot of hope for him, and it might be the right time to pull the trigger on a heel turn to help shrug off his cartoonish tendencies.

Ambrose post-Shield was First Blood. Ambrose post-Rollins feud to now is Rambo III. The question is, do they bring him full circle to Rambo IV and make him cool again? Or am I being too optimistic?

"PG Crazy" Dean Ambrose who tortures rag dolls is lame.

Only in this screwy-ass company can someone book Brock Lesnar v Dean Ambrose and make it so that a lot of fans never want to see either one of them ever again. I mean, really, that one match has seemingly done so much damage to both of them, because it's put out there that Lesnar isn't going to have a competitive match with anyone that isn't one of the company golden children and that Ambrose... isn't one of them, even though he's still got a pretty solid win/loss record (17-8-2 for the year).
You know, this is way too much like what happened last year with Ziggler. One dodgy storyline and/or match and the goodwill seemingly disappeared overnight.

Its just that in the run in towards WM people were so busy hoping he would take Romans spot that the didn't notice for a while. While I'm an advocate for him getting a bigger push due to his popularity, I do think these are some concerning issues. It's like RVD back in 2002, he definitely needed to fix a few things despite being insanely over. Ambrose's look has always bothered me. While I'm by no means a traditionalist in terms of wrestling gear, I hate people wrestling in jeans. On top of that, his attire makes him look smaller than he actually is. The offense needs to be more vicious, in a Stone Cold way instead of that goofy Mysterious bullshit. The selling is probably on management too, but I agree.

I'm glad Lesnar won cos I couln't suspend my disbeleif enough to beleve a skinny goof like Ambrose could beat Lesnar

He's too goofy to take seriously. This. He's gone from "Slightly unhinged" to "cartoon character" Half expect him to have a segment where he keeps stepping on rakes like Sideshow Bob. Oh, and he seems to actually wrestle less and less as times go on. In the Shield, he actually grappled, wore people down and it was good. Now, he just flails at people, hits the Wacky-line, then his shitty DDT.

He's basically the face version of Bray Wyatt; WWE concluded that he could still be over and look like a threat to anyone regardless of whether he lost or won, and being stuck in midcard hell has slowly devolved his character.

The WWE has done a fantastic job of establishing Ambrose as not good enough to be a Main Eventer, and people picked up on it.

I don't think Ambrose is as damaged as Wyatt though. Wyatt was totally buried and came up short against so many guys, whereas Dean could still win MITB and have a crack at the title. Thing is, the next time Ambrose gets near the title he HAS to win the title. In fact I would say this MITB PPV is make or break for Ambrose. If he wins it, there's a real shot he can get to the next level. Another MITB match loss and it's obvious WWE has no serious plans for him.

To make him even more cartoony, Dean Ambrose signs exclusive contract with ACME and their successful Rocket-Powered rollerskates.

The Brock match killed my interest in him completely.
After that piece of crap I just thought "f*** it, Ambrose is never going to amount to anything".

The WWE managed to kill his momentum dead.
When presented seriously, Ambrose reminded me a lot of Roddy Piper.
Now? He's Crash Holly.

I suspect that rather than be faced with another Bryan style rebellion, the WWE are micromanaging Ambrose into oblivion, with Vince and the road agents telling him not to sell, not to work so hard and go all out in his matches and to focus on the comedy. The WWE have turned elevating someone by pushing everyone else down into an art form, Ambrose is over but everyone has cooled on him to the point no-one is clamouring to see him main event anymore and will say he's not ready/over enough for that spot.
