Monday Night Raw: November 3rd, 2014 – First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York
Before the intro video and pyrotechnics display, a video package airs recapping the heinous attack by the Wyatt Family on Mr. McMahon to close out Raw last week. The commentary team of Michael Cole, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Jerry “the King” Lawler introduce the broadcast and promise a big night. There is less than one week remaining in the Survival Trials and tonight, two men could clinch their spots in the finals.
“Behold the king…” The crowd comes to their feet for the arrival of the COO of the WWE, Triple H. He walks to the ring with a purpose, clearly meaning business. He enters and unbuttons the top button of his shirt before speaking. He talks directly to the Wyatt Family, saying that what happened last week was despicable. “Stephane may not be concerned about it for some reason but that isn’t gonna fly with me! That was the man who built this company, the man who runs this entire operation. Hell that was my father-in-law. You sons of bitches need to get your asses out here!” The crowd comes unglued as they never expected Triple H to just show up and call out the Wyatt Family. Instead of the Wyatts though, he gets Stephanie McMahon, who arrives to a major collective groan from the audience. She has a flabbergasted look on her face as she questions her husband’s actions. Stephanie says that none of this is Triple H’s concern. “That was my father that got attacked and honestly, you’re right, I am okay with it. That may sound heartless and it probably is, but at this point, what happens to my father is not my concern. If he can’t run this place anymore then it is my birthright to take over.” Triple H can’t believe what he’s hearing. He tells Stephanie that her father has been there for them since they got married and to not care while he’s laid up in a hospital is disgusting. Stephanie doesn’t get an opportunity to respond as the Wyatt signature hits and the crowd goes nuts. The three Wyatt Family members surround the ring when the lights come back on. Stephanie McMahon is no longer on the stage, but Triple H is still in the ring. He looks around and the crowd cheers as he takes off his shirt. Erick Rowan charges in but is greeted with right hands from HHH. Luke Harper gets his licks in but HHH ducks a clothesline and nails a high knee. His momentum is stalled when Bray Wyatt gets in a cheap shot and the Wyatt members all jump him. He continues to try and fight them off but it’s to no avail. Harper hits him with a big boot as Rowan brings a chair into the ring. Bray holds up a lifeless Triple H, kisses him on the forehead and delivers Sister Abigail onto the chair. The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Bray continues to give orders. He has Rowan and Harper drag Triple H out of the ring and up the ramp. Bray shouts for them to end him. They hoist HHH up for a double Chokeslam off the stage! “Oh my god! That’s the same move that took out John Cena for weeks!” shouts Michael Cole. Bray laughs as he looks down at Triple H and the show heads to commercial. Returning, we are taken to a recap of the heinous display that we just witnessed from the Wyatt Family. Triple H is seen being taken out in an ambulance. Commentary says the show must go on but do so in a somber tone.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – CODY RHODES (16) VS. SAMI ZAYN (10); The action side of Raw begins with a big match with massive implications. Sami Zayn has been a breath of fresh air in the Survival Trials and though he is eliminated, he has to stay on point for his NXT Title match this Sunday. Cody Rhodes continues to put on great performances. He survives a Blue Thunder Bomb down the stretch that has Sami reeling. Sami steps to the corner, looking for the Helluva Kick. He charges but Cody avoids it and school boys him for two. They get up at the same time and Sami takes a swing, only for Cody to duck and hook him for the Cross Rhodes, clinching a spot in the finals. Cody Rhodes defeats Sami Zayn in 15:18!
“It’s official ladies and gentlemen. Cody Rhodes’ hot streak now has him in the finals of the Survival Trials” says Michael Cole. Cody Rhodes celebrates along with the WWE Universe as the news that he made the finals appears on the tron. A Roman Reigns win later tonight or a John Cena loss this Friday night puts Reigns in the finals against Rhodes. The Shield, with Reigns facing Ambrose tonight and Seth taking on Cena on Smackdown, hold all of the cards.
In the back, the Authority is shown in their locker room. Stephanie McMahon enters and they all try to avoid her gaze. She senses it and immediately gets angry. She knows that they might not approve of what she allowed to happen to her husband. “I know that you’ve all been loyal to him in the past and I get that. But he’s gone soft. He doesn’t have what it takes to continue running this place like it needs to. Neither does my father and with the two of them out of the picture, I’m in full control.” To help ease things a bit more, Stephanie tells Batista that he’ll be allowed to get his hands on CM Punk tonight in the main event. Batista likes it but not everyone seems sold.
ADAM ROSE AND SANTINO MARELLA VS. BIG SHOW AND BO DALLAS; Big Show and Bo Dallas should not work well together given their personalities, but once again, that theory proves to be wrong. Their chemistry is surprisingly good, working like a well-oiled machine. Big Show hits Adam Rose with a Chokeslam, before tagging Bo Dallas and allowing him to steal the pin. Big Show and Bo Dallas defeat Adam Rose and Santino Marella in 2:40!The fans boo but also seem to get a chuckle out of Bo Dallas’ over the top celebration. He does his best to convince Big Show to join him in a victory lap. Show politely decline, so Bo gives him a big smile and proceeds to do the laps on his own.
Returning, Dolph Ziggler is already in the ring, awaiting the answer to his Intercontinental Title Showoff Invitational. “Just Close Your Eyes” hits and the crowd cheers for the arrival of former Intercontinental Champion, Christian.WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) VS. CHRISTIAN; This is one interesting match. Earlier in the year, Christian lost the United States Championship to Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match. Both guys come out firing and work a lengthy match that goes through a commercial break. Christian scores various near falls, including an especially close one on a frog splash. Ziggler is as resilient as ever and picks up his own close call with a superkick. Both men struggle to best the other, though a second superkick sends Christian reeling. He stumbles to the ropes, bounces off and gets caught with the Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler defeats Christian to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship in 13:15!Even though he and his short lived tag team partner Kofi Kingston have both stated their desire to become a champion again, Christian falls short tonight. Dolph Ziggler is unable to celebrate for long though as surprisingly, the music of Alexander Rusev plays. He steps out onto the stage alongside the “Ravishing Russian” Lana. She quiets down the crowd and addresses Ziggler. She sarcastically congratulates him on the victory but calls it hollow. “You may hold gold around your waist, but you are not a true champion. At least, not the kind of champion that the ‘Super Athlete’ Rusev is.” Lana continues by saying that he can make all of the meaningless title defenses that he wants, but the will never compare to the United States Champion, in any way. They exit, leaving Ziggler confused and annoyed in the ring.
AJ LEE VS. SUMMER RAE; For the first time since competing in the historic women’s Hell in a Cell match over a week ago, we are getting to see AJ Lee. She looks to be mostly healed up from that barbaric encounter. Summer Rae is her usual arrogant self. It ends up being her downfall as she celebrates a spin kick for too long, allowing AJ to slap on the Black Widow and make her submit. AJ Lee defeats Summer Rae in 3:24!AJ Lee releases the hold and has her arm raised by the referee. The WWE Universe mostly cheers her but there are some boos from the fans who remember what she did to Paige leading into Hell in a Cell. The cameras go backstage where the Bella Twins are watching on a monitor. Maybe their business with AJ Lee is still not over.
A Wyatt Family vignette airs, featuring video of the attacks on Vince McMahon and Triple H. Bray Wyatt is heard laughing maniacally in the background at the end of these assaults. We still have no word on why this is happening. JINDER MAHAL W/ 3MB VS. RYBACK; Ryback is one hungry Superstar. Since the split from Curtis Axel, he has been on a rampage and tonight is no different. Ryback attacks Jinder Mahal violently and ends him with the Shell Shock. Ryback def. Jinder Mahal in 1:18!The crowd rises to cheer for Ryback and chant “FEED ME MORE” along with him. Surprisingly, Ryback ends his chant with a motion around his waist, signaling he is looking for some championship gold. If Ryback wants gold, all current champions need to watch out.
Renee Young is standing by with the WWE Women’s Champion, Paige. Paige gets a positive reaction from the fans when she appears on screen. Renee welcomes her back after the brutal Hell in a Cell match eight days ago. Paige thanks her before Renee asks about tonight’s women’s match. Renee wants to know which woman Paige would rather face. Paige smiles and says that normally, she’d just say that it didn’t matter because she’d gladly defend the title against anyone. “That’s still the case, but tonight I have a personal preference. I’ve beaten Nikki Bella and am beyond annoyed with the Bella Twins. Emma on the other hand, is my best friend and the opportunity to give her a shot at the title would be amazing.”
SURVIVAL TRIALS – DEAN AMBROSE (10) VS. ROMAN REIGNS (16); As the match begins, the cameras show John Cena watching intently on a monitor in the back. He needs Roman Reigns to lose and to beat Seth Rollins on Friday to earn a spot against Cody Rhodes in the finals. The Shield brothers shake hands, but it is quickly clear that Dean Ambrose is trying to do his all to earn the win. Reigns picks up steam after a while and punches the mat for the Superman punch. He connects and tries a Spear but Dean dodges it and sends him into the corner. Ambrose rolls him up for a very close near fall and then hits Dirty Deeds. He covers but Reigns still manages to get a shoulder up. Dean goes for another but Reigns pushes him off the rope, nailing a Spear! He is too hurt to instantly cover, allowing Dean to kick out when he does. Both men get up at the same time but Dean strikes first, planting him with a second Dirty Deeds and scoring the win. Dean Ambrose defeats Roman Reigns in 12:26!Like when he lost to Cody Rhodes, a bit of a stunned silence mixed with some cheers comes over the crowd. Roman Reigns suffers his third loss of the Survival Trial and now opens the door for John Cena to possibly make it to the finals. Dean Ambrose holds his ribs as he gets to his feet, seemingly even being a bit surprised too. John Cena’s music plays as he steps out to the stage to a mixed reaction. He has a microphone and says that he is just out to remind everyone that this Friday is going to be the biggest match in the entire Survival Trials. Reigns grabs a microphone and tells Cena that this is kind of bush league. “You’re gonna come out here and talk about your match right after I lost mine? Not cool man.” Cena cracks a small smile and tells Reigns that if he didn’t want to hear him come out and say this, he should have won. His theme plays as he walks off and Reigns looks on. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH – EMMA VS. NIKKI BELLA W/ BRIE BELLA; Shortly before the match begins, WWE Women’s Champion Paige comes down to the ring and joins commentary. Emma and Nikki Bella go back and forth, with both girls striking the other with pretty hard shots. Brie Bella trips up Emma at one point, causing Paige to get up from the booth and lay into her. Nikki misses a forearm as Emma ducks. He trips her up this time and applies the Emma Lock. Nikki struggles but can’t get free and taps out. Emma defeats Nikki Bella in 5:14!Paige is shown with a smile as her best friend has just earned a shot at her Women’s Championship. Back on Divas Smackdown last month, Emma made a point to say that she wanted to be more than just a dancer. She has gotten a bit more serious and now is as close to the title as ever. Paige enters the ring and the two women stare across at each other. Paige offers a handshake, which Emma accepts before Paige raises Emma’s hand in victory. They’ll meet at the Survival Trials Finals only on the WWE Network. JUSTIN GABRIEL VS. KOFI KINGSTON; While his pal Christian came up short against Dolph Ziggler earlier tonight, Kofi Kingston looks to gain momentum. Justin Gabriel shows off the new attitude that he found in NXT recently. Despite that brash style, he doesn’t prove to be too much for Kingston, who puts him away with Trouble in Paradise. Kofi Kingston defeats Justin Gabriel in 3:29!Like Ryback earlier, Kofi Kingston signals that he’s coming for a title sometime soon. With Dolph Ziggler’s open challenges, he may be the next one to answer the call.
“BOYAKA, BOYAKA 619!” The WWE Universe in Buffalo comes unglued for the long awaited return of Rey Mysterio. He comes out in a suit and high fives a lot of the fans. Once he gets in the ring, he is showered with “welcome back” chants that seem to overwhelm him. He takes a deep breath and begins, thanking the fans for their continued support. He talks about loving this business and how much he’s missed it in the past few months. “I am so glad to be back. But, this was yet another surgery that my body had to recover from. It’s hit a point where I don’t know how much more my body can take. So I’ve come to a decision.” The fans seem to sense what is going on and begin to shout “No” in unison. Rey gives a small laugh and informs the WWE Universe that he is not retiring right now, gaining cheers. He does however say that he’s going to retire, gaining a mixed reaction. “In fact, that’s part of why I’m here. I’d like to bring out someone that has become a close friend of mine over the years, Alberto Del Rio.” Cheers rain down as Del Rio makes his way to the ring, a bit confused about why he’s being brought out. He shakes Rey’s hand and allows Rey to continue. “Alberto, I have a favor to ask of you. As I said, my body can’t take this for too much longer. So I’ve decided to officially retire after the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View.” Del Rio is taken aback and the fans boo again. Rey says that he wants Alberto to do him the honor of being his final opponent. It takes Del Rio a few seconds but he accepts and huge Rey. Surprisingly, the music of Tyson Kidd hits as he struts out alongside Natalya. Natalya seems to be trying to get him to head to the back but Tyson is set on coming out. He has a microphone and talks as he walks to the ring, saying that none of this matters. “We get it. Rey, you’re old and past your prime. FACT. Alberto, you lost your US Title and your edge, so nobody cares about you. FACT. Meanwhile, Tyson Kidd is the hottest Superstar in the WWE right now and the biggest reality TV star in the world. FACT.” Alberto tells Tyson to shut up and wants him to leave and give Rey his moment. Tyson sarcastically thinks about it before declining. He says that the focus should be on guys like him and not over the hill guys like the two of them. They call him to the ring but Tyson stops in his tracks. “Did I forget to mention that I’m not alone? You see, a buddy of mine has been laid up in a hospital for months thanks to an attack by you Alberto. Nobody came to visit him…except me. So he’s with me tonight and he’s pissed.” Suddenly, the returning Cesaro runs in through the crowd and levels Mysterio in the back. Del Rio swings but Cesaro ducks, pushes him off the ropes and drills him with the popup uppercut! Mysterio rolls outside, where Kidd is ready. Kidd grabs him and launches him into the steel steps before sliding into the ring to join Cesaro. The two men stand tall over Del Rio and Mysterio, while a shocked Natalya looks on along with the WWE Universe. “Why King? Why have Tyson Kidd and Cesaro joined forced? Why have they ruined this moment for Rey Mysterio?” asks Michael Cole.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – CHRIS JERICHO (4) VS. SHEAMUS (8); Unfortunately, the placement of this match kind of led to the crowd being a bit dead for it. They know that neither man has a shot to win so it took them out. Sheamus has been gaining steam as of late after a rough middle of the tournament, while Chris Jericho has been looking up at the standings from the bottom. Both guys pick up near falls throughout the match and Jericho comes close with the Walls near the end. Sheamus reaches the ropes but it doesn’t do much good as he walks into a Codebreaker. Chris Jericho defeats Sheamus in 6:29!A surprising mixed reaction comes over the crowd. Chris Jericho has had a slight attitude problem as of late, so some fans may not have been happy to see him win. Still, it’s a better option for most than Sheamus.
Before our main event, Batista is shown warming up and Randy Orton is in his face. Orton is hyping him up, reminding Batista that it was CM Punk who returned to the WWE and became a thorn in the Authority’s side. It was CM Punk who partnered up with Daniel Bryan to take their Tag Team Titles. Batista says that he doesn’t need any more motivation because he’s going to go out and destroy Punk. BATISTA W/ RANDY ORTON VS. CM PUNK W/ DANIEL BRYAN; Due to the history in recent months between the two men involved, this turns out to be exactly the fight you’d expect. Randy Orton tries to get involved and it goes south rather quickly when Daniel Bryan comes around the ring to stop him. The two men reignite their rivalry from last fall and do battle outside. CM Punk takes Orton out with a suicide dive before rolling back in to take it to Batista. He hoists him up for the GTS but Batista does his best to elbow his way out of it. He tries the Batista Bomb but Punk fights him off and gets free. Punk ends up locking in the Anaconda Vice. Batista never gets the chance to tap though, as the Authority members show up to attack him. CM Punk defeats Batista via disqualification in 12:02!Bad News Barrett, Sheamus, Kane and Randy Orton all gang up on CM Punk in the ring. Daniel Bryan was taken out by a Bull Hammer on the outside as Barrett ran in. Punk tries to fight off but is stopped by a vicious Brogue Kick. Randy directs traffic, taking Punk outside with Batista, while Kane, Sheamus and Barrett focus on Bryan. Barrett and Sheamus move the steel steps in place, while Orton clears off the announce table. Kane Chokeslams Bryan onto the steel steps just before Batista and Orton destroy Punk with the RKO/Batista Bomb combination. The five Authority members meet by the bottom of the ramp as the WWE Tag Team Champions are barely moving. Stephanie McMahon, who just watched her dad get left laid out last week to close Raw, steps out onto the stage with a huge grin as she watches Punk and Bryan’s destruction.

11/5/14 Edition
- Last night on WWE Main Event, the Miz defeated Mr. Money in the Bank, Bad News Barrett in each man's final Survival Trials match.
- A big angle is set to go down at the Survivor Series. There are several rumors for what it could be. Some sense that the Shield could be splitting up. Others are reporting an end for the Authority as a whole. Some are even speculating that Bad News Barrett may be cashing in his Money in the Bank after Brock Lesnar defends the WWE World Heavyweight Title against the Survival Trials winner.
- Speaking of the Survival Trials, the WWE has officially announced that the show will air live on the WWE Network. That means that it will begin at 3PM EST, since the show is taking place in the United Kingdom. That's unusual since big events typically happen at 8PM EST, but this is the kind of flexibility that the WWE Network allows for the company.
- In the past two weeks, the Wyatt Family have been involved in major angles. First they took out Vince McMahon in a shocking moment and last week, their focus turned to Triple H, who tried to defend his father-in-law. There is word that a third massive angle will take place this week involving the Wyatt Family. It is being kept heavily under wraps right now.

WWE NXT - November 6th, 2014: Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
This week’s episode of NXT starts with a video package showing Sami Zayn being chosen by the fans as the NXT representative in the Survival Trials. We see Corey Graves get upset at this as well as the strong performances from Zayn, who wrapped up his Survival Trials run this past Monday, finishing with 10 points. Graves has targeted Sami since then and it comes to a head this weekend at the Survival Trails Finals show. We go to commentary, where Rich Brennan, Jason Albert and Alex Riley introduce things. They announce that Graves will be competing in a non-title match against Evan Bourne in our main event! Plus, we will hear from Finn Balor and Hideo Itami about their plans now that Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd are in the rearview mirror. CJ PARKER VS. TYLER BREEZE; We haven’t seen much of Tyler Breeze in recent weeks, though he appeared last week to remind everyone that he’s around, despite their love for the new “flavors of the month”. The crowd wasn’t completely sure who to cheer for, since both guys play the heel role. They didn’t have to wonder for long though, as Breeze nailed Parker with the Beauty Shot to win. Tyler Breeze defeated CJ Parker in 4:23!“Prince Pretty” has returned and done so in successful fashion. Considering the rise that he was on before his hiatus, one has to assume that the NXT Championship is something that he has his sights set on. Tyler Breeze makes sure to take a selfie, complete with a laid out Parker in the shot, before leaving.
An advertisement is shown to promote the brand new John Cena Rivalries DVD. Get the multi-disc set that will cover all of the biggest rivalries involving the fourteen time World Champion, including wars with the Rock, Edge, CM Punk, Triple H and more! Returning backstage, Renee Young is standing by with the number one contender for the NXT Championship, Sami Zayn. He politely says hello before Renee asks him about the upcoming title match. Sami says that he’s never been more prepared for a match in his life. “These past few weeks of the Survival Trials have shown me that not only am I good enough to compete with the best, but I’m damn sure good enough to finally become the NXT Champion. I’ll be watching Corey Graves in the main tonight and this Sunday, you’ll be looking at the new champion.”
A commercial is shown for WWE 2K15. For the first time ever, play as your favorite WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends on the current generation of video game systems! Before the next match, we are shown a plug for the latest issue of Muscle and Fitness magazine, which features an article giving a special look at the WWE Performance Center. ALEXA BLISS AND SASHA BANKS VS. BAYLEY AND BECKY LYNCH; Last week, Alexa Bliss seemed to snap and shoved Bayley after losing to her. She partnered up with the NXT Women’s’ Champion herself, Sasha Banks. Bayley and Becky Lynch played nice, but commentary informed the viewers that they will meet next week in a number one contender’s match. Sasha and Alexa worked as a good tandem, though it was clear that Sasha was playing the leader. Bayley found herself in trouble until she dragged herself to the corner and tagged in Becky. She cleaned house and applied the Dis-Arm-Her on Bliss. Sasha watched from the apron but chose not to save her partner, who tapped out. Bayley and Becky Lynch defeated Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks in 8:14!Sasha Banks grabs her title from ringside and slowly backs up the ramp. Bayley hugs Becky Lynch in celebration before remembering their upcoming match and backing away. They look across at each other while Sasha Banks watches them from the top of the stage, clutching her title tightly.
A video shot by Colin Cassady is shown. Himself, Enzo Amore and Carmella at the gym. Enzo tries to impress her with his push-ups. “Uh, Zo, I’m pretty sure Carmella needs more than that. She could probably do more push-ups than you.” Enzo looks at Cass as if to say “really bro?” “Oh I know I can do more than him. Watch” says Carmella. She gets down and does push-ups side by side with Enzo, matching him at each turn. “How about some of this? How you doing?” says Enzo as he moves to one armed push-ups. Carmella one ups him by doing claps in between each push-up and outlasting Enzo, who falls to the ground, dripping with sweat. She runs up to Cass and leaps into a high five while Enzo watches in shame.
An ad runs to promote the WWE Network. Various Superstars and Divas throughout history are shown while words from the final promo by the Ultimate Warrior are heard. Once again, we go to Renee Young in the back. This time, she is with Hideo Itami. Renee mentions that he and Finn Balor requested time tonight to discuss their futures. Hideo, still not speaking full English, says that he came to NXT for one thing. “I want to be NXT Champion.” Before he is able to continue though, he is struck from out of nowhere with a huge superkick! Tyler Breeze steps into the shot, while Renee Young scurries off. Tyler smirks at Hideo and simply says “oops” before walking off screen. NON-TITLE MATCH: COREY GRAVES VS. EVAN BOURNE; Since his return to NXT a few months back, Evan Bourne has certainly had his ups and down. He was looking to pick up his biggest win since the return. Corey Graves held serve for most of the match, targeting Bourne’s legs. It came into play when Evan tried for Airbourne but his legs gave way and he crashed to the mat. Graves found himself in firm control and applied Lucky 13 but Evan crawled to the ropes, breaking it. Despite this, Corey chose to shout to the camera “THIS IS YOUR FUTURE SAMI!” He took his eye off of the ball for a split second, freeing up Bourne to school boy him and score the upset. Evan Bourne defeated Corey Graves in 10:30!As quickly as he can, Evan Bourne slides out of the ring while the crowd pops. Corey Graves is in utter disbelief as he just let a match slip through his fingers. While Sami Zayn lost his final Survival Trials match, he is riding a wave of momentum from that experience, but Graves will now enter their big match coming off of a tough defeat.
Before the final segment, a commercial is shown for the latest WWE Film, See No Evil 2! Kane returns as Jacob Goodnight to bring fear to your home. William Regal is shown in his office. He address the camera, making a major announcement. “Beginning next week, a tournament will begin to find new number one contenders for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The winners of this eight team tournament will face the NXT Tag Team Champions at our next TakeOver special.”
The crowd comes alive as Finn Balor makes his way down to the ring. He enters and grabs a microphone, allowing the crowd to calm down before speaking. “You know, I made it a point to come out here and talk about my future in NXT. Hideo Itami tried to do the same thing but was attacked by Tyler Breeze. Rest assured, Hideo has told me that Tyler will get what’s coming to him. Because of that assault, I chose to discuss this live, right in front of each and every one of you.” Finn continues, saying that he was able to hear Hideo say that the NXT Title was in his plans, but he’s here to say that is also his plan. “However, I understand the pecking order around here. I know that Sami Zayn has a title shot and we all just saw Evan Bourne pin Corey Graves so I’d say he’s ahead of me right now as well. Look, I came to NXT to prove to everyone that I am the best in the world. I’m going to earn everything and make my climb up the ladder of success here in NXT.” Finn says that he’s out here to make a challenge but the lights begin to flicker in the arena. The tron feed seems to get intercepted and then everything goes dark. “We apologize ladies and gentlemen, we are going to do our best to get things situated for you all” says Tom Phillips. Suddenly, a bang is heard as if something is going on in the ring. A few moments later, the lights come back on and Finn Balor is out cold in the middle of the ring. The crowd is somewhat confused but things become clear as a skull appears on the tron. On the top of the skull’s head is a head of hair that looks very familiar. The letters “S” and “C” appear on the skull’s forehead on top of each other. It’s a logo that has come to be known to represent Solomon Crowe.

Friday Night Smackdown: November 7th, 2014 – Times Union Center in Albany, New York
Smackdown comes onto the air as Tom Phillips, Booker T and Byron Saxton introduce things. They hype tonight as one of the most important Smackdown episodes in history because of the huge implications in the main event. John Cena goes one on one with Seth Rollins. If Cena wins, he advances to the finals of the Survival Trials. However, if Cena loses, Roman Reigns clinches the spot and takes on Cody Rhodes this Sunday. The stakes have literally never been higher! SURVIVAL TRIALS – ADRIAN NEVILLE (6) VS. ALBERTO DEL RIO (10); The second to last Survival Trials match here. While it didn’t ultimately mean anything in the standings, both guys came out looking for the win. Alberto Del Rio wanted momentum heading into his big US Title match this Sunday. Adrian Neville was still nursing the knee injury from his match at Hell in a Cell against the Miz. Del Rio attacked that body part instead of going after the arm like he normally does. It worked as Neville was unable to do a lot of his key stuff, freeing up Del Rio to hit a vicious superkick for the 1-2-3. Alberto Del Rio defeated Adrian Neville in 9:01!As the Survival Trials come to a close, Alberto Del Rio finishes with a 6-5 record, made more impressive considering he began 0-4. Adrian Neville’s loss here drops him to 3-7 as he ran into a lot of trouble after his knee got messed up. Del Rio exited and left to the back while the official checked on Neville’s leg. “AWEEEESOOOOMEEE”. The Miz and Summer Rae walk down to the ring. Miz has a microphone in hand and begins to mock Neville. He says that Neville should have just taken his advice. “I told you that an A-lister like myself could make you into a star. Instead, you find yourself hobbled on just one leg and suffering loss after loss.” Miz makes it into the ring and continues to berate Neville, who is now up to his feet though assisted by the official. “This is your present and your future Adrian. Just accept my help. Your career can…” Neville uses all of his strength to spin kick Miz in the ribs. Miz falls to the ground but Neville is too hurt to capitalize, allowing Miz to get up and attack him. Miz stomps away on Neville, with Summer Rae chipping in with her own shots. Miz picks him up and drops him with the Skull Crushing Finale before shouting that Neville is nothing without him.
Now we are taken to a recap of the despicable attack by Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family against the COO of this company, Triple H on Raw. Triple H was looking for some vengeance for his father-in-law but instead got destroyed while his wife, Stephanie McMahon, seemed to show little to no care. Speaking of Stephanie McMahon, she is in the ring when we return to live action, along with the Director of Operations, Kane. She starts by saying that her Twitter account got flooded after the attack on Triple H. “First, many of you in the WWE Universe questioned my loyalty to my husband. I didn’t respond to any of you because, let’s face it, none of you are really worth it the time it takes to tweet you. Right now though, I’ll let you know that my loyalty to my husband should never be in doubt. However, I’m just as loyal to the WWE. That’s where my focus is right now. My husband has taken his fair share of beatings in his career and so has my father. Guess what? They always get right back up. The WWE is something that I’m more worried about. We’ve had to endure someone like Daniel Bryan as the WWE Champion and now one half of the Tag Team Champions, the return of the insubordinate CM Punk, the Shield thinking they’re bigger than the business, John Cena’s general awfulness and a lot more. There is only one person ruthless enough to save the WWE. One person cunning enough. One person that has this business in her blood. That person…is me. You all thought the Authority was in trouble after what happened to Triple H but just look back to the end of Raw. We stood tall as a united front over the fallen bodies of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. The Authority is going to take back control of the WWE and it started last Monday night. Make no mistake, I’m the head bitch in charge and don’t any of you, or anyone in the back, forget it.”
EVA MARIE VS. NAOMI; The incredibly green Total Divas star looked to take on one of the veterans of the Divas division in Naomi. During this match, Naomi’s rival and former partner, Cameron joined commentary. Meanwhile, the Bella Twins surprisingly strolled down to the ring, seemingly taking notes on the match. As Naomi neared a win, a distraction from Brie stopped her in her tracks. Eva sloppily rolled Naomi up to steal it. Eva Marie defeated Naomi in 2:31!The Bella Twins mock a stunned Naomi by making the “loser” symbol on their foreheads. Eva Marie stands by them in celebration and they are even joined by Cameron, who completely enjoys seeing her former friend in defeat. If there is any sort of alliance being formed by the women outside, Naomi is going to need some help.
A recap is shown of Rey Mysterio’s return this past Monday night. Mysterio announced that he will be retiring officially at the Survivor Series and his final match will be against Alberto Del Rio. They were interrupted by Tyson Kidd before a returning Cesaro joined him and attacked Mysterio and Del Rio. REY MYSTERIO VS. TYSON KID W/ CESARO AND NATALYA; Considering Tyson Kidd being the one person who came to visit Cesaro in the hospital, the two men seem to have bonded. They walked to the ring and were thick as thieves. Rey Mysterio got his first in-ring action since his return and didn’t show much ring rust. He moved around rather quickly and took it to Kidd like he hadn’t missed a day. A trip by Cesaro allowed Kidd to gain control, where he went after Rey’s leg. Rey was still able to put up a fight, rallying to pick up near falls. He ran off the ropes for the 619 but Cesaro slid into the ring and leveled him with a huge uppercut. Rey Mysterio defeated Tyson Kidd via disqualification in 10:17!Tyson Kidd gets off of the ropes and helps Cesaro put the boots to Rey Mysterio. Natalya doesn’t seem too happy with their actions but also doesn’t protest. Alberto Del Rio runs out to a pop with a steel chair, causing Kidd and Cesaro to decide to fight another day and exit the ring. Del Rio checks on his friend but the damage has been done.
When we return, the ring is set up for the Peep Show. Christian walks down to the ring, looking for his peeps in the crowd. He gets in the ring and talks about bringing back the Peep Show, saying that it’s been a while. “I wanted to bring it back because coming back is exactly what I’m trying to do. You see, a few months ago, I held the United States Title and now, I can barely find my way onto Raw and Smackdown.” Christian says that he’s trying to come back to relevancy and capture some gold. He tried on Monday but came up short in the Showoff Open Invitational. His guest is the man that defeated him, Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler comes out to an even louder ovation from the crowd. When he enters the ring, he shakes hands with Christian. Christian’s first question is to ask about the meaning behind the open challenges. Dolph claims that he does it because it fits who he is. “For years, I’ve told everyone time after time that I’m here to steal the show and have the best matches week in and week out. Growing up, that’s what the Intercontinental Title meant to me. Putting on the best show whenever I step into the ring. I want to defend this title against any and all possible contenders while being better than everyone else.” Christian seems a little annoyed considering he just lost to Dolph, but moves on to the subject of Alexander Rusev, who called him out on Monday for not being as good a champion as he is. Dolph begins to answer but is cut off by the sound of Lana’s voice. She steps onto the stage, laughing at Dolph’s claims about being better than everyone else. “You do realize that you are a multi-time Intercontinental Champion and that you’ve held and lost the United States Title this year. That doesn’t make you the best. That makes you a loser. Do you know who hasn’t lost a title? Do you know who hasn’t lost a single match? My ‘Super Athlete’ Rusev!” Dolph tells her to get on with the reason she’s out here. She says that he is out here to issue a challenge. “If you want to prove that you are the best, you will face my Rusev next week on Smackdown. He doesn’t request a shot at your title and you don’t deserve one at his.” Dolph accepts and tells her to prepare to handle the first loss of Rusev’s career. The Age of Enlightenment are shown backstage reading two large books. Eden comes up to them and asks them about their plans. “You two paired up as a tag team and promised to educate the masses but we haven’t seen you in the ring recently” she adds. Damien Sandow looks at her in confusion and disgust. Xavier Woods tells her that they are biding their time right now, but the Tag Team Titles are still something they want. Sandow cuts him off and says not to tell her any of their plan before going back to reading. Woods is taken aback and doesn’t seem happy with the tone of Damien but he goes back to reading as well. BIG SHOW AND BO DALLAS VS. LOS MATADORES W/ EL TORITO; The tandem of Big Show and Bo Dallas once again showed great chemistry. Bo had some troubles with Diego and Fernando, though things quickly changed when the Big Show tagged in. He cleaned house and put down Fernando via WMD. Big Show and Bo Dallas defeated Los Matadores in 3:27!Bo Dallas immediately celebrates by rolling outside and going for a victory lap. This once again seems to amuse Big Show. Bo runs into El Torito and gets tripped up. An embarrassed and angry Bo grabs Torito and rolls him inside. The smile on Big Show’s face vanishes as he helps Torito to his little feet, before viciously knocking him out with a WMD! Bo Dallas looks down at Torito with an angry face that turns back to his cheesy grin. He slaps Show on the back and they head off.
Tom Phillips now leads us through a recap of the Survival Trials. Footage is shown of Cody Rhodes’ victory over Sami Zayn on Raw, capping his incredible run through the tournament and clinching a spot in the finals this Sunday. His opponent is yet to be determined because Roman Reigns fell at the hands of his Shield brother, Dean Ambrose. Tonight, it all comes down to John Cena. If he wins, he advances, but if he loses, Reigns gets the final spot. Renee Young is now standing by with Cody Rhodes. She asks him about his preference for an opponent in the Survival Trials Finals. Cody responds by saying there is no easy answer. “On the one hand, I could face the juggernaut of the most dominant faction in WWE history. On the other, I face a fourteen time World Champion. Either way, one thing remains the same. I beat both of them so far and I’m gonna do it again this Sunday.” BIG E VS. GOLDUST; We haven’t seen much of Goldust since his lost to his brother inside of a Steel Cage two months ago. Since then though, he hasn’t lost his ruthless streak as he attacked Big E early and often. Big E is no slouch though, coming back and using his incredible strength to overpower Goldust. He planted him with the Big Ending and picked up the win. Big E defeated Goldust in 3:25!The straps are down and Big E has his hand raised by the official. While he was unable to unseat Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title recently, there is still gold in the eyes of the former power lifter.
An ad airs to promote WWE 2K15, where you can play as WCW legend Sting for the very first time in history! Backstage, Renee Young is with Roman Reigns. The crowd cheers as he steps into the picture. Renee asks for his thoughts as he has to sit back and hope Seth Rollins comes through for him in a few minutes. Reigns responds by saying that it sucks that he lost on Monday and has to rely on someone else. “Nothing against Dean Ambrose. He beat me fair and square. While I don’t have control of my own destiny, I have full confidence in my brother that he can beat John Cena tonight. Then it’s on to Cody Rhodes this Sunday and then, I’m coming for you Brock. Believe that.”
Commentary runs down hype for the Survival Trials Finals show this weekend, exclusively on the WWE Network. Cody Rhodes will compete in the Finals against either John Cena or Roman Reigns. Alberto Del Rio gets his rematch at Alexander Rusev and the United States Championship. Sami Zayn, who wowed during the Survival Trials, competes for the NXT Championship. Paige defends the WWE Women’s Championship against her friend Emma and more to be announced tomorrow.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – JOHN CENA (16) VS. SETH ROLLINS (10); There was a big fight feel in the atmosphere for this. This was arguably the biggest match on Smackdown in at least five years. Both men started slow, not trying to make a mistake. After knocking Cena to the outside, it was Seth that took the first big chance on a huge dive outside, which worked out. He picked up several near falls that the crowd bit on but John Cena is always so resilient. Seth made a key mistake when he springboarded in with a knee, only for Cena to dodge it and catch the leg right into the STF! The crowd went nuts as Seth struggled and nearly tapped before reaching the ropes. Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment, but Seth landed on his feet and hit a big Pele kick. Cena stumbled to the ropes and hunched over. Seth saw an opening and tried for the Curb Stomp but Cena slightly moved enough to get under Seth and hook him for the AA, which he connected on. The referee counted the three and Cena advanced. John Cena defeated Seth Rollins in 15:33!The WWE Universe erupts with the usual mixed reaction as John Cena gets to his feet and pumps his fist. He got an opening on Monday when Roman Reigns lost and took full advantage tonight, reaching the first ever Survival Trials Finals! “In two nights, John Cena goes one on one with Cody Rhodes in a rematch from Hell in a Cell with a shot at Brock Lesnar on the line” exclaims Tom Phillips. John Cena continues to celebrate as Smackdown goes off the air.

Breaking news! With the Survival Trials Finals officially set, as Cody Rhodes will now go one on one with John Cena, another match has been added to round out the card. Six of the twelve competitors to take part in the Survival Trials will go at it in a six man tag team match. Two Authority members, Bad News Barrett and Sheamus, will partner up with the Miz to try and best the most dominant stable in wrestling history, the Shield. Tensions have been a bit high for Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins lately, so the question is whether or not they can sort things out in time to take home a victory. Tune into the WWE Network this Sunday afternoon at 3PM EST for all of the action!

Survival Trials Finals: November 9th, 2014 - Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England Theme Song: "Survival" by Eminem
The WWE Signature appears on the screen, signaling the start of the official WWE Network special. A short intro video plays, set to “Survival” by Eminem and showcasing the impressive runs through the Survival Trials Tournament by John Cena and Cody Rhodes. The sold out crowd in Nottingham is rocking as Michael Cole and Byron Saxton welcome the viewers at home to this historic show. They send it straight to the action, which starts with championship gold on the line. NXT CHAMPIONSHIP – COREY GRAVES (C) VS. SAMI ZAYN; The English fans seem to really be into Sami Zayn, giving him a major pop as he comes face to face with the NXT Champion. Corey Graves is clearly talking smack to Sami, who responds with a right hand and they fight into the corner. Sami reluctantly gives a clean break, so Corey reaches forward and slaps him. An irate Sami charges but Corey steps outside for a breather, clearly doing his best to get under the challenger’s skin. Corey breaks the count but rolls back out, so Sami comes off the ropes and dives over the top onto the champion! Once back inside, Sami gets some near fall, but Graves chop blocks him to stop the momentum. The leg now becomes the focus of Corey’s offense, as he just relentlessly goes after it for minutes. Sami tries to valiantly fight back but stumbles several times. Tom Phillips notes that the leg being targeted is the one that Sami uses for the Helluva Kick. Sami does manage to snap off the Blue Thunder Bomb but Graves gets a shoulder up. In a clear mistake, Sami calls for the Helluva Kick. He charges in but his leg gives way before he gets near Corey. Like a shark smelling blood, Corey pounces and locks in Lucky 13! It’s the move that Sami tapped out to way back at TakeOver earlier this year. Sami struggles to reach for the ropes, refusing to submit despite the pain. Corey wrenches harder and harder but the resilient Zayn grasps the ropes by his fingertips. Graves isn’t even angry, seemingly laughing at Sami’s futile attempts to survive. He drags Sami to the middle of the ring and grabs the leg again, but Sami pulls him into in a small package for two. As they get up, Corey takes a swing but Sami ducks and catches him in the Koji Clutch! The pain on Corey Graves’ face is clear as he struggles for the ropes but is too far away. He begins to fade and is forced to tap out. Sami Zayn defeats Corey Graves to win the NXT Championship in 16:20!The crowd roars as Sami Zayn has done it! “Sami Zayn has been after the NXT Championship since his debut last year and, after several attempts, he’s finally captured it” says Michael Cole. Sami Zayn is handed both the NXT Title and his NXT Tag Team Title. He celebrates along with the crowd, capping a great run in the Survival Trials with the biggest win of his career! WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP – ALEXANDER RUSEV (C) W/ LANA VS. ALBERTO DEL RIO; It’s a rematch from Hell in a Cell. Alberto Del Rio comes in with a similar strategy from that night, going after the arm of Alexander Rusev. His Cross Armbreaker has been completely unstoppable whenever he’s able to actually latch it on. He attempts it early but Rusev has it scouted and shoves him off each time. Del Rio comes off the ropes only to get caught in a swinging side slam for two. Rusev proves to be as dominant as ever, hitting vicious knee lifts and headbutts that send Del Rio reeling. Rusev climbs to the second rope and dives off for a big headbutt but Del Rio rolls away, causing him to crash to the mat. As he gets to his knees, Del Rio fires off a series of kicks to the arm, again softening him up for his finish. He finishes with one big kick to the skull and covers Rusev but only manages a near fall. Lana seems to losing confidence in her “Super Athlete” at ringside. She shouts for him to get up as Del Rio stalks him. The “Mexican Aristocrat” manages to completely apply the Cross Armbreaker! Commentary shouts that this could be all. Rusev struggles in agony as nobody has been able to break this in months. Rusev somehow musters up the strength to get to his feet, lift Del Rio’s body and slam it down to the ground in a powerbomb, breaking his grip. Del Rio staggers to his feet and Rusev picks him up with a Samoan drop. Rusev then steps on Del Rio’s back and goes for the Accolade. Del Rio slips under and hits an enziguri to the back of the head. He covers but Rusev somehow gets his shoulder up. Del Rio taps his arm for another submission but Rusev shoves him off to the ropes. As Del Rio bounces off, Rusev catches him with a shuffle side kick, which is enough to score the win. Alexander Rusev defeats Alberto Del Rio to retain the WWE United States Championship in 7:03!The referee hands Lana the United States Title as she enters and hoists it in the air. Alexander Rusev gets to his feet and pumps his fists next to her. Alberto Del Rio rolls out of the ring holding his jaw as once again, Rusev proves to be too much for him to overcome. WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – PAIGE (C) VS. EMMA; The best friends shake hands and give a quick hug before the match officially begins. They tie up and Paige shoves Emma to the mat. Emma gives a small smirk, tries again, but is again tossed down. Cracks of frustration begin to show as Emma gets taken down a third time. Paige nearly does it for a fourth time but Emma slips behind her and takes her down to the mat. They trade mat work with the crowd firmly behind the home country girl, Paige. Paige made sure to sport boots bearing the Union Jack on them. Emma scores multiple near falls on various pinning combinations, getting the upper hand. That all stops when Paige kicks her in the stomach and tries for the Paige Turner. Emma elbows her way out of it and sends Paige into the corner. She charges in with a clothesline before applying the Dil-Emma. Paige falls to the bottom of the corner as Emma looks for the Emmamite Sandwich. Paige slides outside, causing Emma to miss. Paige pulls Emma by her legs outside and swings her into the guardrail. She rolls Emma inside for two. Paige lets out a loud roar as she grabs Emma and fires away with headbutts. Emma stumbles to the corner, where Paige reels off tons of stomps like her idol, Steve Austin. She tries for the Ram-Paige this time but again, Emma gets free and trips her up into the Emma Lock! Paige desperately reaches for the ropes but is too far away. Refusing to quit in front of her home country, Paige somehow finds a way to pry Emma’s grip and break the hold. Emma is in disbelief but regroups and climbs to the top rope. As Paige gets to her feet, Emma flies off with a cross body. Paige rolls through into a pin, gets the three and retains. Paige defeats Emma to retain the WWE Women’s Championship in 10:41!The fans give a round of applause to Paige, who found a way to remain the Women’s Champion. Emma can’t believe that she just let a huge opportunity slip through her fingers. Paige is handed the Women’s Title and raises it as the crowd cheers. She looks over to her friend, drenched in sweat and nearly in tears, and offers a handshake. The fans want it and Emma accepts even though her quest for the title came up short tonight. Paige goes to leave but Emma grabs her by the hair and slams her down to the mat. The stunned crowd begins to boo as Emma picks up her friend, shouts “THAT’S MY TITLE” and nails her with a double underhook suplex into the corner. Paige falls on her head but Emma doesn’t care. She picks up the Women’s Title, drapes it over Paige, and exits to boos. BAD NEWS BARRETT, THE MIZ AND SHEAMUS W/ SUMMER RAE VS. THE SHIELD; You can tell that the two Authority members are not big fans of their partner tonight. They have the Miz start against Dean Ambrose. Ambrose gets the quick upper hand, tagging in his partners, who all work on Miz. Miz sneaks in a low blow on Seth Rollins, swinging the momentum. He tags in a reluctant Mr. Money in the Bank, Bad News Barrett, who clubs away on Seth. He tags in and out with Sheamus, as they work over the “Architect”, while mostly ignoring the Miz. Miz complains to Summer Rae at ringside. Seth scores on a Pele kick and dives to make the big tag to Roman Reigns. The man who came oh so close to the finals tonight comes in on fire. He nails Barrett with a Superman punch and hits a second that knocks Sheamus off the apron. Reigns calls for the Spear, but Barrett avoids it and tags Miz. Miz cautiously walks in, but some encouraging words at ringside from Summer Rae seem to build his confidence. He actually asks for a test of strength with Reigns. Reigns chuckles and goes for it. Miz goes for a cheap kick but Reigns is ready and catches it. As he does this, Rollins and Ambrose enter the ring, run past them and dive outside onto Sheamus and Barrett. Reigns shoves Miz back to the ropes, where he rebounds off and right into a Spear, scoring the pinfall. The Shield defeats Bad News Barrett, the Miz and Sheamus in 8:18!Cheers are heard from the Nottingham faithful as Roman Reigns stands up and lets out a roar. His Shield brothers join him in the ring. Once again, the Shield win a multi-man tag match, continuing to prove that there is nobody better in that situation. ”The New Age Outlaws. The Usos. The Wyatt Family. Evolution. The Authority. It doesn’t matter who you put in front of the Shield, they knock them all down” says JBL. The Shield pose in the center of the ring, putting their fists together in a sign of unity.
Before our main event, a video package airs focusing on the spectacular runs through the Survival Trials by both Cody Rhodes and John Cena. Cody only suffered two losses, to the Miz and Sheamus. Cena also only lost twice, once to Roman Reigns and once to Rhodes himself. That Hell in a Cell match is the focal point of the video, set to “Survival” by Eminem. Adding to the importance of the match, a “Tale of the Tape” appears on screen, noting that Cena has an experience and size advantage, but Cody is on a roll and has the mental upper hand from his previous win over Cena. SURVIVAL TRIALS FINALS – CODY RHODES (18) VS. JOHN CENA (18); Just like their Hell in a Cell encounter, they enter tied in points. Unlike last time though, there is no handshake. The stakes are higher and both guys are prepared. Cody Rhodes takes John Cena to the mat, gaining an upper hand. There is no “good job kid” reaction on Cena’s face here though, as he gets up and shoves Cody hard enough to knock him outside. Cena holds the middle rope open, daring him to step back inside with him. Cody looks around, possibly realizing that this is a different Cena, and rolls inside. Once in, both guys trade some offense, with neither grabbing true control. Cena attempts the STF, but Cody blocks his hands from clasping and rolls into a pin for two. When they get up, Cody springboards off the middle rope for the Disaster Kick but Cena catches him with a massive sitout powerbomb for a near fall. Cena is clearly ready to reach deep into his bag of tricks. With Cody down, Cena does the Five Knuckle Shuffle and preps for the Attitude Adjustment. Cody grabs the top rope to block it, as even though he kicked out of one at Hell in a Cell, he isn’t going to risk it here. Cena decides to just send Cody over the top and to the outside. The referee begins to count as Cena seems content with a possible countout win. At the count of eight though, Cody is able to get back inside. Cena takes a risk, climbing to the top. He comes off with the leg drop bulldog, but Cody moves and Cena lands on his ass. Cody hits the second rope and nails the Disaster Kick. He follows with Cross Rhodes instantly and the crowd completely bites but Cena shockingly manages to get his foot on the bottom rope, breaking the pin! Cody can’t believe it. He was that close to a WWE Title shot. Reaching into his own bag of tricks now, Cody picks Cena up for the Alabama Slam he learned from Hardcore Holly nearly ten years ago. Cena rolls over, hooks the leg and locks in the STF! Near the middle of the ring, Cody is in serious danger. He begins to fade before doing the unthinkable and making his way towards the ropes, before finally reaching it. Cena gives no rest, trying for the AA again once Cody is up. Cody slips out and tries another Disaster Kick. Cena quickly runs to the ropes himself, avoiding the kick, spring boarding off the second rope on his own and right into a stunner! The crowd and announces are taken aback by the move. Cena nails the AA right after, picking up the 1-2-3. John Cena defeats Cody Rhodes in 19:25!A mixed reaction rains down from the WWE Universe in Nottingham. An exhausted John Cena rolls over onto his back for a few seconds before slowly standing up. He has his hand raised by the official as pyro goes off and the announcers talk about the hard fought win for Cena. He poses for the crowd while Cody Rhodes sits up and hangs his head in disappointment. John Cena walks over to him and offers his hand to help him up. Cody ponders it, looking out to the fans, before accepting it. He raises Cena’s arm and claps before leaving the ring. “Cody Rhodes’ incredible run through the tournament may be over, but he has opened a lot of eyes. The real story right now though is that John Cena has now guaranteed himself a date with Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series!” says Michael Cole.

Monday Night Raw: November 10th, 2014 – Echo Arena in Liverpool, England
Slightly more than 24 hours removed from the historic first ever Survival Trials Finals, a video package starts Raw that shows footage from the event. John Cena made history when he defeated Cody Rhodes to win the tournament and earn a shot at Brock Lesnar and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series. Once that video wraps, Michael Cole, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Jerry “the King” Lawler introduce the show and promise a huge show!
Kicking things off, the WWE Tag Team Champions arrived on the scene to a major ovation from the Liverpool faithful. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan weren’t as joyful or energetic as usual. We were taken to a recap of the ending to Raw last Monday, when Punk and Bryan were destroyed by all of the members of the Authority while Stephanie McMahon took pride in watching it happen. They got in the ring and Bryan went to speak but Punk stopped him and said that he got this. “Last Monday night, the Authority beat us down. Tonight, we’re back up. But this isn’t anything new. This has been going on for far too long. Ever since I called Stephanie ‘Vince’s idiot daughter’, the higher ups around here have had it out for me. Daniel meanwhile, had an entire eight or so months where the Authority just screwed him over time after time after time because he didn’t look the way they wanted him to. Hell, we both had to beat Triple H before he realized that things needed to change. Unfortunately, we can’t just beat Stephanie McMahon in a match so there has to be another way to settle this, once and for all.” Daniel Bryan spoke, saying that the reason they are out here is to put an end to all of this. He called out Stephanie and the crowd waited with anticipation. Her theme hit and she stepped onto the stage, but she wasn’t alone. Batista, Randy Orton, Bad News Barrett, Kane and Sheamus flanked her. Stephanie started by scolding them for having the audacity to call her out. “My last name is McMahon, I run this place and I make the decisions. I didn’t come out here because you asked, I’m here because this is my show and because I want this thing over with myself.” Punk cut right to the chase, telling Stephanie that they wanted a match. “One more match to end it all. Whatever match type you’d like, but when it’s over, one group wins and one group loses and we’re done.” Stephanie thought it over before saying she had an idea. “The Survivor Series is coming up in a few weeks. How about this? These five premiere athletes on one team and you on the opposite side.” Punk and Bryan quickly talked it over before Bryan said that a 5-on-2 situation is not what they’re looking for, but they’re in if it is a traditional Survivor Series match. This caused Stephanie to burst out in laughter. She laughed for a lot longer than she probably should before finally managing to get out that they can have their match. “Good luck finding three Superstars to join you against this incredible team behind me. I mean, this is the very cream of the…” “Sierra. Hotel. India. Echo. Lima. Delta. Shield.” The WWE Universe exploded as the Shield began to make their way down to the ring through the stands. Stephanie was no longer laughing as concern flashed across her face. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns entered the ring and stood across from Punk and Bryan. These men have had differences in the past but stayed peaceful here. Seth grabbed a microphone and told Punk and Bryan that they have their three partners. An outraged Stephanie let out a scream and said that she’s sick and tired of the damn Shield. “Fine, you can be their partners but when we win you three must disband. That’s right, no more Shield.” The fans booed but the Shield didn’t bat an eye. Bryan spoke, “It seems like that stipulation is fine with them, but let’s go all out there. We really want this to be the end of this war so let’s make it fair. If we win, the Authority must be the ones to disband.” That got the crowd to cheer but Stephanie waved it down, saying that will never happen. Punk was quick witted, and started to taunt Stephanie, saying her father, a true McMahon, would have accepted in a heartbeat. Stephanie got goaded into saying yes. “At Survivor Series, it comes to an end. One way or another, this is over dammit!” The crowd roared as the show went to commercial with a massive match made for Survivor Series. Returning, the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dolph Ziggler, is standing in the ring awaiting an answer to his now weekly open challenge. “FEED…ME…MORE” is heard as it looks like Ryback will be getting his first shot at the Intercontinental Title.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) VS. RYBACK; This proved to be one of the toughest tests so far for the Intercontinental Champion. Similar to his encounter with former partner Big E, Dolph Ziggler had to fight from behind due to the power of the “Big Guy”. Ryback racked up more than a few near falls throughout. He countered Dolph’s sleeper with a backpack stunner and shouted “FINISH IT”. Before he could though, his former partner Curtis Axel ran in and chop blocked him. Ryback defeated Dolph Ziggler via disqualification in 10:20!
The relentless Curtis Axel continued the assault, stomping on the leg of Ryback. He wisely kept him on the mat, not wanting to fall victim to the power of Ryback. Dolph Ziggler got to his feet, but Axel pounced there too, laying him out with the Axehole. Curtis picked up the Intercontinental Title, adding his name to the long list of people gunning for the gold.
We were then taken to a video recap of the heinous attacks by Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family over the past number of weeks. First, they took out the owner of the company, Vince McMahon and, after Triple H tried to defend his father-in-law, he also felt the wrath. Following the video, Michael Cole informed the WWE Universe that Triple H is still at home recuperating and it would be some time before we saw him in action again. Tonight, Bray Wyatt finally explains his actions.
Backstage, Stephanie McMahon was shown pacing in the Authority’s office. She seemed unsure of the big Survivor Series match that was just made, but Batista and Randy Orton tried to reassure about the fact that she got in their heads. Stephanie seemed to gain confidence before saying, “let’s put their teamwork to the test. Tonight, how about the two of you, the two most dominant Superstars in the WWE, face two of their five? Let’s mix it up too. How about, Roman Reigns and CM Punk? Not the champions and not the Shield either.” Batista and Orton liked the sound of that as our main event is set. CAMERON AND SUMMER RAE VS. NAOMI AND NATALYA; Recently, some of the Divas have been joining forces with the Survivor Series coming up. Just as this began, the Bella Twins and Eva Marie strolled out to watch things. They came right into play as Eva tripped up Naomi, allowing Cameron to score a rollup on her former partner. Cameron and Summer Rae defeat Naomi and Natalya in 2:50!
Summer Rae quickly entered the ring and put the boots to Naomi along with Cameron. Natalya attempted to help but was taken down by Eva Marie and the Bella Twins. Things looked very bleak for Natalya and Naomi until the music of AJ Lee hit and the crowd popped. AJ charged the ring and ducked a shot form Nikki before clotheslining Cameron and Summer over and outside. She also leveled Eva with a spin kick but the Bella Twins pounced. Natalya and Naomi got to their feet and sent the Bella Twins over the top and to the outside. The five women outside of the ring chose to retreat despite the numbers advantage. AJ Lee didn’t seem to want to join up with Naomi and Natalya, but has her issues with the Bella Twins.
Renee Young was shown standing by with Cody Rhodes. She questions him about coming so close to winning the Survival Trials and his next steps. Cody admitted that the loss was incredibly hard to bare, but he’s already looking ahead. Becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion is still a goal and he claimed to get back on track tonight. The Shield, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk were shown in the back. They seemed to be arguing about who was really in charge. Tom Phillips cautiously stepped up to them to inform them that Stephanie McMahon had a message. “Mrs. McMahon would like to let you know that she has officially named you ‘Team Bryan’ for the Survivor Series match.” A stressed Bryan instantly closes his eyes, knowing this will only cause more problems. They continued to argue as the camera left them.
Back to the ring, the music of John Cena sounded as the new number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ran out onto the stage. He spoke to the camera about a new era starting in the WWE before charging down. Once in the ring, Cena began to speak about the Survival Trials. “That tournament was the most grueling series of weeks I’ve ever had to endure in this ring. And before I get to the topic at hand, I just want to take a moment to give props and respect to Cody Rhodes. The kid came at me with everything he had and, not only did he beat me at Hell in a Cell, but he took me to my limit last night. When I win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Survivor Series, I plan on giving the first shot to you.” The crowd cheered that but that quickly turned to a mixed reaction as the champ himself, Brock Lesnar’s music hit. He made his way to the ring with Paul Heyman by his side. As they stepped into the ring and across from Cena, Heyman grabbed a microphone. Brock never broke eye contact with Cena as Heyman began to talk. Heyman started by also congratulating Cena on his big victory at the Survival Trail Finals. “Last night, you won a great match. Last night, you made history. Last night, you defeated Cody Rhodes. You should be jumping for joy with pride. You deserve all of the admiration that you get. But you need to remember one thing. Cody Rhodes is not Brock Lesnar. The Survival Trials participants were not Brock Lesnar. The grueling months that you went through as part of the tournament is nothing compared to a match against Brock Lesnar. This is the Best Incarnate. The man that ended Daniel Bryan’s reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the 1 in 21-1.” Heyman continued to put over Lesnar at length, while the Beast just stared down Cena. Once done, the crowd cheered and Cena responded. “Fine speech. But I’ve got a little bit of knowledge to drop on you and your big gorilla.” Brock didn’t take kindly to that and stepped forward but Heyman tried to keep them apart. Cena continued saying that he understands what he’s getting into at Survivor Series. “I told Daniel Bryan before SummerSlam. I know you Brock. I’ve faced you more than almost anyone in the back. But do you want to know why I’m not worried Paul? Think back. Remember Extreme Rules a few years ago? Brock returned, snarling and breathing heavy and he challenged me. I’ll be the first to admit; he beat my ass. I took a 25 minute beatdown but at the end of it all, I pinned his shoulders to the mat, 1-2-3. At Survivor Series, I’m gonna get my ass kicked, but I’m gonna walk out as the 15 time World Heavyweight Champion and once again I’ll be able to say that the CHAMP IS HEREEEE!” Cena dropped the microphone and got right in Brock’s face. Brock never flinched or backed down and neither did Cena. Heyman pleaded with Brock to step away and save it for Survivor Series, when the money is right. Brock didn’t want to, but finally did with a smile, seemingly knowing that Cena is on borrowed time. LOS MATADORES W/ EL TORITO VS. TYSON KIDD AND CESARO W/ NATALYA; According to an insert promo during their entrance, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro have become best friends over the past few months. Los Matadores were their usual high flying selves, but the story of this match was the instant chemistry between Kidd and Cesaro. They worked very well together and beat Diego after Cesaro’s big swing got interrupted by a vicious dropkick from Kidd. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated Los Matadores in 4:44!The celebration between Tyson Kidd and Cesaro is big, as they hug in the middle of the ring. Natalya applauds them and tries to join in, but she gets mostly ignored by the WWE’s newest tag team.
The WWE Women’s Champion, Paige, was interviewed in the back by Renee Young to a massive pop. They recapped Emma’s attack on Paige after the loss in the Survival Trials Finals. Paige admitted that she was not only physically hurt, but she was heartbroken. “The last time I was here in England, Emma went out and celebrated with my mum and I after I won this title. Emma has been my best friend since we joined the WWE. But now, I just can’t believe it. To have her do something like that…I never expected it.” Paige says that she plans on getting to the bottom of Emma’s actions, one way or another.
Staying backstage, Rey Mysterio is shown warming up. One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Daniel Bryan, came up to him. Bryan shook his hand and thanked him for his contributions to wrestling. “You know, if it wasn’t for you, someone my size would have never been given an opportunity” said Bryan. Mysterio thanked him and said that it is going to be an honor facing him as part of his farewell tour tonight. Bryan agreed and they parted ways. EMMA VS. LAYLA; An altered version of Emma’s theme played and she wasn’t doing any dances. She received boos from the WWE Universe as she worked over Layla. It was clear from the start that this was a more aggressive Emma. Her strikes were hard and gone was the fun demeanor. She made Layla tap out to the Emma Lock. Emma defeated Layla in 3:49!Emma exited the ring and left up the ramp. As she got near the top, the music of Paige hit to a massive pop. She stepped out behind Emma and seemingly tried to talk to her. Emma turned, looked past her and left to the back without paying any attention to Paige. The WWE Women’s Champion was at a loss, trying and failing to get her best friend to talk to her.
Sticking with the women of the WWE, we saw AJ Lee in the back. She skipped into the women’s locker room and met up with Tamina. AJ said that she knows they haven’t really hung out since she returned, but she hasn’t forgotten their relationship. “You know I’m not one to ask for help since I don’t exactly play well with others. But, those Bella bitches are growing in numbers and I could use a familiar face.” Tamina looked down at AJ and simply said, “I got your back.” AJ found herself an old ally. DANIEL BRYAN VS. REY MYSTERIO; According to Michael Cole, for the final few weeks of his career, Rey Mysterio will be embarking on a farewell tour of sorts, competing against various WWE Superstars on his way out. This battle with Daniel Bryan will be hard to top. They wrestled at a quick pace and had tons of back and forth, with neither guy gaining a real upper hand. Bryan tried to use a few submissions to win, but Mysterio wriggled free of each. He nailed a big springboard splash but Bryan was able to get a shoulder up. Rey also had a shot at the 619, but Bryan avoided it. Rey swung around and entered the ring, charging forward only to get met with a massive Busaiku Knee. Daniel Bryan defeated Rey Mysterio in 13:23!
The commentary team hyped the match up as one of the best in recent Raw memory. Daniel Bryan got to his feet as the fans gave them a standing ovation. He assisted Rey to his feet as well, and the two embraced in a hug. Bryan raised Rey’s arm and pointed to him, before leaving the ring and allowing the Liverpool faithful to enjoy their final time seeing Mysterio.
Backstage, a very pissed off Ryback was seen scouring the halls in search of Curtis Axel. He shouted at workers in the back and knocked things over in the process. ADRIAN NEVILLE VS. CHRIS JERICHO; Here was a battle of the two men in the Survival Trials that did not compete at the Finals show last night. Both guys struggled throughout the tournament and during it, Adrian Neville bested Chris Jericho in their first ever match. Jericho took his struggles to heart and it has led him to be more physical. Neville still had the bad leg, so he slipped off the top before the Red Arrow. Jericho quickly got up and won with the Lionsault. Chris Jericho defeated Adrian Neville in 6:16!Chris Jericho quickly rolled out of the ring and headed up the ramp. Not much celebrating from him as he still seemed to be trying to find something that worked for him. The referee checked on Adrian Neville, who was still holding his knee. The Miz made a run in through the crowd and immediately attacked that leg. Miz pounded away on it until several referees pulled him away. Miz could be heard shouting “YOU NEEDED ME! HOW DARE YOU!” as he was pulled away.
In the back again, Ryback kicked down a door, searching for Curtis Axel. He then heard someone yell “HEY RYBACK!” He tuned and the camera saw Axel by his car in the parking lot. Ryback charged but Axel got into the car and drove away before Ryback could get to him. The pissed off “Big Guy” was left fuming. BO DALLAS W/ BIG SHOW VS. CODY RHODES; The tandem of BoShow stood across from Cody Rhodes, with Big Show trying to intimidate him. Once he was forced to wait outside though, Bo wasn’t nearly as intimidating on his own. Cody looked to not miss a beat despite the loss last night. He made relatively quick work of Bo, putting him down with the Disaster Kick. Cody Rhodes defeated Bo Dallas in 2:21!Big Show attempted to enter the ring and go after Cody Rhodes, but Cody was able to slide out of the ring and have his hand raised by the referee. It certainly wasn’t on the level of his Survival Trial victories, but Cody picked up right where he left off.
In the back, Renee Young interviewed the WWE United States Champion, Alexander Rusev and Lana. She wanted to know their thoughts heading into the Champion vs. Champion match against Dolph Ziggler this Friday. Lana answered for Rusev, laughing and saying that Rusev is going into the match the same way he always does. Rusev did a rare chime in, stating “I am the best in the WWE, not that stupid Dolph Ziggler with his stupid hair.” Lana laughed, adding “he is going in as the Super Athlete. He is going in as man that will CRUSH Dolph Ziggler. Nothing will stop Rusev from showing the world that he is the best champion. He does not need a ridiculous open challenge to try and impress people.”
BATISTA AND RANDY ORTON VS. CM PUNK AND ROMAN REIGNS; Both teams showed up without any reinforcements. Batista and Randy Orton were a well-oiled machine, while CM Punk and Roman Reigns had a few disagreements. Despite that, they showed flashes of having good teamwork. Orton and Batista ended up singling out Punk, beating down on their smaller opponent. Punk would be able to make the hot tag to Reigns, who came in and lit up both Batista and Orton. Unfortunately, there was a massive miscue at the close. Punk was brawling with Orton in the corner as Reigns set up for a Spear on Batista. Batista moved just as Punk turned around, so Punk took the Spear! Batista tackled Reigns outside, allowing Orton to get the pin on Punk. Batista and Randy Orton defeated CM Punk and Roman Reigns in 11:12!
The Authority members left up the ramp with big smiles on their faces. Roman Reigns entered the ring and checked on CM Punk. Batista and Randy Orton stopped atop the ramp to watch this unfold. Punk began to stir and Reigns tried to help him up, only to get shoved away. Reigns looked annoyed, but tried to help again, only for Punk to try and strike him. Reigns blocked it by grabbing his arm and held it in place. Punk and Reigns stared into each other’s eyes as Reigns seemed to tell Punk something. Punk broke free of his grip, exited the ring and angrily snatched his Tag Team Title from ringside.
“Liverpool…we’re here.” A mixed reaction fell over the WWE Universe as Bray Wyatt led the Wyatt Family to the ring to finally give us answers for his attacks. Erick Rowan brought the rocking chair with him and Bray sat down in the middle of the ring. Bray sent Rowan and Luke Harper away, as it was time for him to be a leader and do this on his own. Bray started to speak, “Why Bray why? That’s all that everyone has been asking since we eradicated Vince McMahon. People said ‘but he’s just poor old Mr. McMahon. He’s nearly 70 years old. Why would you do that Bray?’ At first, I thought your reactions were quite priceless. You see, for years you all cheered and reveled whenever anyone got their hands on the boss. But now, those that have been stubborn and too afraid to follow the buzzards, seem to take issue. Fear not though. I am not a leader that will guide you into the abyss. Take my hand I will lead you to a better place. I told Daniel Bryan, I told John Cena, I told Roman Reigns…I told them all that I could save them. But I realized that they were also too stubborn. They couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Before I can save any individual souls in the WWE, I must save the WWE itself. That’s where Vince comes into play. We were patiently waiting until the time was right and when Vince showed up on Raw, we knew it was time. All kingdoms fall. The hand that causes that fall from grace is the one that rightfully takes over. We did what we did to Vince McMahon so that we can hold the power, so that we could save the WWE. Triple H tried to wield his power in front of us. He was never in our plans but a mere casualty of war. Look around yourselves ladies and gentlemen, where are your heroes? There is no Triple H. There is no Vince McMahon. It’s just Bray Wyatt.”
“HERE COMES THE MONEY…” The roof of the Echo Arena nearly blew off as, for the first time in over five years, Shane McMahon stepped out onto the Raw stage. Even Bray Wyatt, a man normally in complete control, could not expect this. He looked out at Shane with no expression on his face. Shane meant business as he walked towards the ring without pandering to the crowd. He stood across from Bray as the tension built and the fans chanted “this is awesome”. Shane made the first move, charging at Bray and laying into him with rights and lefts. Bray fought back with shots of his own and sent Shane outside. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan appeared but Bray shouted for them to stay back. “HE’S MINE!” Bray followed to the outside, but Shane was ready with a steel chair, hitting Bray in the ribs. Shane then leveled him in the back with a thunderous shot. Shane reared back and struck with a third vicious shot. By this time, Rowan and Harper made it back down to ringside. Shane slid in the ring and dared them to join them. They stepped forward, but a worn out Bray held them back. Despite taking some big chair shots, Bray had a smile on his face as he backed up the ramp with Harper and Rowan. The final shot of Raw saw Shane standing alone in the ring with a steel chair as the crowd went wild.

WWE NXT: November 13th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
After the signature intro, we go to a video package that shows highlights of the historic Survival Trials Finals even this past Sunday. To open that show, Corey Graves defended his NXT Championship against Sami Zayn. It was a hard fought battle, but in the end, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions was able to make his own history and capture the title. This is followed by the weekly NXT intro video before our commentary team of Alex Riley, Jason Albert and Rich Brennan introduced things.
NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND: ENZO AMORE AND COLIN CASSADY W/ CARMELLA VS. THE ALL AMERICAN REAL AMERCIANS W/ ZEB COLTER; For the first time, we got to see Jack Swagger and Jason Jordan work together. While they are formidable Superstars, things didn’t go quite as well as they’d hoped. On a few occasions, Jordan and Swagger miscommunicated and it cost them. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady were on point, showing off the chemistry that has made them so popular. That allowed them to hit the Rocket Launcher on Jordan and advance to the next round. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated The All-American Real Americans in 6:32!The bell sounded and the crowd came to their feet. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady left up the ramp in celebration alongside the lovely Carmella. Jack Swagger was fuming, Zeb Colter tried to calm him down and Jason Jordan came to, only to look very disappointed. The run of the All-American Real Americans has gotten off to a very rocky start.
A video package aired to remind everyone that Corey Graves’ week got off to a rocky start back last week when he lost to Evan Bourne. That set him on a path to drop the NXT Championship to Sami Zayn on Sunday and Graves is said to be livid about his recent struggles. Following that, Devin Taylor was standing by with Evan Bourne. She asked him about defeating Corey Graves while he held the NXT Championship. Bourne called it his biggest win since returning to the WWE joining NXT. He added, “I know that Sami Zayn won the NXT Title and congratulations to him, but I want him to remember that I pinned an NXT Champion. Usually when that happens, you get a title shot and Sami, I’m coming for one sooner than later. Until then, I’ll be at your celebration tonight buddy.”
An ad aired to promote the latest WWE Film, Queens of the Ring. FINN BALOR VS. JUSTIN GABRIEL; Last week, NXT ended when Finn Balor was attacked by Solomon Crowe. Tonight, he had to focus on Justin Gabriel, a rival of his alongside Tyson Kidd since Finn’s debut. They put on an athletic showcase though Finn showed a bit of an angrier side. He hit some loud sounding strikes and really took it to the “Darewolf”. Finn nailed the Coup de Grace double foot stomp and bested Gabriel. Finn Balor defeated Justin Gabriel in 5:01!Finn Balor was not given time to enjoy his victory as Solomon Crowe ran in through the crowd and leveled him from behind. He continued the assault, but Finn managed to fight him off and back into the corner. Finn laid into him with right hands as the crowd roared. He stepped back and went in for a dropkick but Crowe avoided it and Finn crashed into the turnbuckles. Crowe grabbed a steel chair from outside and, just as Finn got up, whacked him in the back with it. Crowe continued to wail away on Finn’s back as commentary questioned his motives. Crowe could be heard shouting “THIS IS MY TIME” before he left a lifeless Finn laid out. Finn was certainly more aggressive tonight, but it wasn’t enough to combat Solomon Crowe.
Backstage, Devin Taylor introduced her guests, Bayley and Becky Lynch. Tonight, they face off for the first time ever and it will determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch spoke first, saying that she is newer to NXT than a lot of girls but she’s been doing this for years and she wants to be the top female in the business. “That title makes me the best and I want it. At the end of tonight, you better Bexpect me as the number one contender.” Bayley laughed at Becky’s pun before staking her own claim for the title, citing that it has been her dream since she was a little girl. “I’m going to be your next NXT Women’s Champion, you better BAYlieve it. See what I did there?” Becky chuckled and they shook hands.
A short commercial was shown to promote WWE 2K15, where you can play as your favorite Superstars, Divas and Legends on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the first time ever. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND: THE ASCENSION VS. BRODUS CLAY AND CURT HAWKINS; The veterans of the WWE have been trying to make their impact on NXT but have mostly failed recently. Despite the size of Brodus Clay, they ran into a brick wall known as the former NXT Tag Team Champions, the Ascension. They ran through these two in dominant fashion and finished Curt Hawkins with the Fall of Man. The Ascension defeated Brodus Clay and Curt Hawkins in 2:17!
Rich Brennan hyped the victory, announcing that the Ascension are now one step closer to regaining their NXT Tag Team Titles. They’ve advanced to the second round and will take on Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. Meanwhile, the first round continues next week. The Legionnaires will face the newly named Lucha Dragons of Kalisto and Sin Cara, while the Vaudevillains go toe to toe with Blake and Murphy!
In the back, the All-American Real Americans were shown in their locker room looking very disappointed. Jack Swagger seemed to blame Jason Jordan for the loss, but Jordan said that the group can only be as good as their leader. Zeb Colter attempted to keep the peace but things stopped once a short man with long hair stepped into the picture. He said that he had a suggestion. An irritated Swagger asked who he was. “My name is Chad Gable and I, like you guys, am an All-American. Jack, I know what went wrong tonight and it’s nobody’s fault. Think about your career. Sure you found success with Cesaro but all of your best success came as a singles competitor. ECW Champion, United States Champion, Money in the Bank, World Heavyweight Champion. That’s where you belong.” Jack pondered it and Zeb jumped in, saying that if Chad had a point, to get to it. Chad suggested that he join the All-American Real Americans and be Jordan’s partner, so they could take over the tag team division, while Jack handled the singles stuff. While Jack and Jason still thought about it, Zeb said that they will have to decide on it as a group. Chad responded, “Take your time guys. When you have an answer, I’ll be here…ready, willing, and Gable.” He held up a towel that literally said those words on it, confusing the other three men, who left the room.
Before our main event, we were treated to a self-shot video of Tyler Breeze. He addressed the NXT Universe, saying that he’s gotten thousands of tweets and emails asking him why he attacked Hideo Itami last week. Tyler said that there was no shocking answer despite the public’s demand. “It’s quite simple. I told you all weeks ago that I was getting tired of NXT signing all of these uggos to contracts and taking away my spot. I should be the main event around here, not Hideous Itami. He found that out last week and if he tries to take another main event from me, I’ll do it again.” NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH: BAYLEY VS. BECKY LYNCH; With both girls being very popular among the NXT fans, there was a noticeably hot and split crowd. They had a lengthy feeling out process and it was tough to see who would get the upper hand. It was Becky to do so first and she wisely made sure her offense was targeted on Bayley’s arm. After some back and forth, she attempted the DisArmHer, but Bayley was close enough to the ropes to break the hold. Becky wasn’t deterred and hooked Bayley for a Bexplex. Bayley elbowed out and delivered the Bayley to Belly, scoring the 1-2-3. Bayley defeated Becky Lynch in 10:47!A loud round of applause fell over Full Sail University, as the NXT Universe showed their appreciation for the efforts of two of the best women’s wrestlers on the planet. Both girls were worn out but it was Bayley that was up first. She made sure to extend a hand to Becky Lynch and help her up. Becky accepted and the women embraced in a nice moment. At our next TakeOver special, Bayley will get a chance to become NXT Women’s Champion.
Bayley and Becky Lynch stayed at ringside for Sami Zayn’s Championship celebration. His music hit to a thunderous ovation and the fans shouted “LET’S GO” along with his theme. He came out with a huge smile and walked around the ring, greeting everyone in attendance. Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, Carmella, Evan Bourne, Kevin Owens, Bayley, Becky, Charlotte, Kalisto, Hideo Itami and even Adrian Neville were there, to name a few. Sami entered the ring as confetti fell from the ceiling. He clearly didn’t expect that and posed for the fans with the gold. Sami got on the microphone and wanted to thank the fans first and foremost. “The support from each and every one of you is exactly what has led me to this title. I fought, for nearly ten years, all around the world to get to this point and I’ve gotta tell you, it feels amazing.” Sami said that a few months back, he wanted nothing more than to win championship gold in NXT and here he stands as a double champion. That led to him bringing his tag team partner and best friend, Kevin Owens, into the ring. “Buddy, I just wanted to thank you most of all. It wasn’t until you arrived here that things started turning around. Without you, there would be no Sami Zayn, NXT Champion!” The crowd cheered and Kevin Owens looked touched. He requested the microphone and said, “I appreciate that Sami, I really do. Winning these Tag Team Titles with you was one of the best moments, not just of my career, but of my life. But you need you understand something Sami. That’s not where my aspirations end. Watching you win the NXT Title was a special moment for me. I saw my best friend accomplish his dream and, while I felt a sense of pride and happiness, I also felt something else. Part of me was jealous. And another part of me realized something else. Sami…I realized that…I hate your guts.” A shocked audience watched as Owens shoved Sami hard into the ropes and planted him with a vicious popup powerbomb as he came off. The Superstars around the ring entered the ring to defend Sami but Kevin was done. He picked up his NXT Tag Team Title and threw it over the ropes to the outside. He turned away from several Divas checking on Sami and the rest of the Superstars in the ring and left up the ramp. William Regal passed him by, demanding an answer but Kevin ignored him and kept moving. The final shot of the night saw Sami begin to stir and pull himself up on the second rope. He looked out of the ring at the NXT Tag belt that Owens left behind.

Friday Night Smackdown: November 14th, 2014 – Echo Arena in Liverpool, England
Kicking off tonight’s edition of Smackdown was a video package that took us back to this past Monday on Raw. With Daniel Bryan and CM Punk basically throwing down a gauntlet to the Authority, Stephanie McMahon agreed to a Survivor Series match. With Punk and Bryan in need of partners, the Shield answered the call. However, the conniving McMahon planted seeds of doubt into the team, leading to some serious tension after Roman Reigns accidentally speared Punk. Cutting to the jam packed Echo Arena, Tom Phillips, Booker T and Byron Saxton welcomed everyone to Friday Night Smackdown. Phillips guaranteed a huge show as tonight, for the first time ever, we will see Dolph Ziggler step into the ring with Alexander Rusev in a Champion vs. Champion match! “Also tonight, just nine days before his final match at the Survivor Series, Rey Mysterio teams with his upcoming opponent, Alberto Del Rio to take on the brash new duo of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro!”
The ring was set up for the Highlight Reel and Chris Jericho made his way down to the ring to open tonight’s episode. He got a mixed reaction from the fans, but mostly cheers despite his recent slight attitude changes. He entered the ring and began to speak, saying that he has some very special guests tonight. “After this past Monday, all of the talk has been about Team Bryan and tonight, we’re going to get to the bottom of exactly how much dissension there is amongst the ranks.” Jericho brought out the WWE Tag Team Champions first, as CM Punk and Daniel Bryan obliged. Next, the Shield made their way through the crowd to about as loud of a pop as Punk and Bryan got. Jericho goes right to the important question, wondering where the issue is between them. Punk spoke first, saying that he was fine teaming up with the Shield. “Even though we had our wars about a year ago, like when I beat them three on one, I thought this partnership would work since they hate the Authority about as much as we do. But then Roman Reigns speared me in our match and things got uneasy.” Dean Ambrose smirks as the Shield clearly didn’t like Punk’s dig about beating them last year. Jericho directed the same question at the Shield. Seth Rollins spoke now, saying that they also had no issues at first. “Yea, the five of us argued about leadership but that wasn’t a big deal. We would have sorted it out. We even understood that Stephanie McMahon naming us Team Bryan was a clear shot to drive a wedge between us. Things changed during that main event on Raw though.” Seth handed the microphone over to Roman Reigns, as the ladies in the crowd shrieked. Reigns claimed that he felt like Punk didn’t put forth the best effort. “At Survivor Series, I actually expect the same thing. I know you want the Authority gone, but what do you have to lose? You see, if we lose, the Shield has to break up. The most dominant faction in WWE history ends. The group that kicked both of your asses more times than we can count, ends. Nothing happens to the two of you. Your titles aren’t on the line. You don’t have the incentive that we do.” Punk got right in Reigns’ face, until Bryan finally spoke up, shouting “No”! He said that this is exactly why Stephanie made the stipulations the way she did. “If we are going to band together and end the Authority, we need to get past this. I have an idea. This Monday, we have ourselves a tag team match. Against each other. Let’s get it all out there, beat the anger out of each other and then go into Survivor Series with all of it behind us.” The Shield thought it over, while Jericho chimed in that he thought it was an excellent idea. The Shield agreed and Dean Ambrose ended the promo by saying that this will either go very well for Team Bryan or it could end like it usually does when someone goes against the Shield; in defeat.
A short video package was aired recapping the finals of the Survival Trials. After a magnificent run through the tournament, Cody Rhodes came up just shy of defeating John Cena for a second time and finished as the runner up. CODY RHODES VS. FANDANGO W/ LAYLA; Though he lost in the Survival Trials Finals, Cody Rhodes was back on the winning track this past Monday night. He continued that trend against Fandango, who has been struggling through most of the tail end of 2014. Fandango did manage to try his flying leg drop, but Cody rolled out of the way. He then hit Cross Rhodes, got the cover and win. Cody Rhodes defeated Fandango in 3:57!Cody Rhodes didn’t take the time to celebrate, instead requesting a microphone from ringside. He addressed the WWE Universe and again congratulated John Cena on winning the Survival Trials. “I came this close to getting a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title that has eluded me throughout my career. But that taste of gold is still fresh on my tongue. Earlier this year, I set my sights on the United States Title that my father won. With Brock Lesnar and the WWE Championship preoccupied at the moment, I’m issuing a challenge right now. Alexander Rusev! I want a United States Title shot and I’m going to end your undefeated streak!” The crowd popped as Cody slammed down the microphone and headed off.
We were taken to a vignette that showed what looked to be a post-apocalyptic world. Fires were going off, people looked to be struggling to move and breath and everything seemed to be in ruins. Suddenly, the tag team known as the Ascension popped up right in front of the camera, wearing some face paint that they never wore in NXT. Viktor spoke, saying that the world behind them is exactly the way that they leave the ring. He mentioned their success as the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in NXT history before Konnor ended with “WE ARE THE ASCENSION! WELCOME TO THE WASTELAND!” Their theme played in the background as the vignette ended and the words “coming soon” appeared on the screen. KOFI KINGSTON VS. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE; These two are no strangers to each other and have met a lot in the past, even trading the Intercontinental Title at times. Kofi Kingston got an insert promo before the match, where he once again proclaimed that he wants to be a champion again in 2014. The Miz has made waves lately for his attacks on Adrian Neville, who sent back his attempts to “make him a star”. Miz made sure to throw verbal jabs at Neville after some of his moves and it cost him. Kingston delivered Trouble in Paradise to secure the victory. Kofi Kingston defeated the Miz in 5:33!“With another win here, I could completely see Kofi Kingston be the next man to answer the Intercontinental Championship Showoff Invitational” said Booker T. Kofi Kingston boom clapped along with the fans, though the reaction was surprisingly a bit mixed.
A short video played to hype WWE 2K15. While the newest WWE video game released on PS3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year, this Tuesday it releases for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Standing by backstage, former Total Divas star Jojo introduced Dolph Ziggler for an interview. She asked the Intercontinental Champion for his thoughts heading into a battle tonight against the undefeated “Bulgarian Brute” Alexander Rusev. Dolph admitted that it will be one of the toughest matches of his career. “People are doubting my ability to win this but I’m used to that. Nobody thought I’d take this title from Sheamus but I did, twice. Nobody thought I’d survive Hell in a Cell last month but I did. Nobody believes I can do the unthinkable tonight and defeat Rusev, but I will. And I’m gonna steal the show while doing it.”
Before continuing tonight’s show, the commentary booth pointed viewers towards a video recap from Raw as something nobody expected happened. After heinous attacks on Vince McMahon and Triple H, Bray Wyatt addressed what his actions. He was interrupted by the return of the “Prodigal Son”, Shane McMahon. Shane meant business and went right after Bray, attacking him with a steel chair. This Monday night on Raw, Shane will be in attendance to address the WWE Universe and Bray Wyatt. The lovely Renee Young was backstage with Emma. Since losing and attacking her best friend Paige at the Survival Trials Finals this past Sunday, Emma has dyed her hair slightly darker and was now sporting shades. Renee wanted an explanation for Emma’s actions. Emma gave a slight chuckle and said it should be obvious. “Paige and I were best friends. Paige and I did almost everything in NXT together. But then earlier this year, Paige was handed title shot after title shot, while I danced for all of these idiots and got nothing to show for it. I’m not going to stand for it anymore. It’s my time now. Paige, give me another title shot if you aren’t afraid. I dare you. The real Emmalution has begun.” ALBERTO DEL RIO AND REY MYSTERIO VS. TYSON KIDD AND CESARO W/ NATALYA; Of all of the matches tonight, this one might have been the most personal. Rey Mysterio has been enjoying his farewell tour but came out firing and really it to both Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. The numbers game became too much though, as they cut the ring in half and really isolated him. Rey slipped free and made the hot tag to Alberto Del Rio. He hit everything in his sight before slapping the wrist to signal for the Cross Armbreaker. Kidd slid in and dropkicked him into the corner. Rey tagged himself in and springboarded towards Kidd, taking him out with a rana. However, Cesaro was the legal man who planted him with the Neutralizer to get the victory. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in 7:45!
After the bell rang, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro celebrated their victory with a big hug, while Natalya was mostly left out of it. Alberto Del Rio slid into the ring to check on his buddy. Rey Mysterio suffered a tough loss tonight, with just nine days remaining in his WWE career. You would have thought that Kidd and Cesaro just won the freaking World Cup. ALCIA FOX VS. NAOMI; With the recent issues surrounding the Divas division, it wasn’t a surprise to see Cameron show up at ringside. Her beef with her former Funkadactyl partner Naomi is well documented. Alicia Fox seemed to be trying to impress Cameron, as each move done saw her tell Cameron to take note. This may have cost her, as Naomi hit the Rear View from out of nowhere to score the victory. Naomi defeated Alicia Fox in 3:09!
Cameron looked annoyed at the outcome. She made sure to move around the ring and away from Naomi as the winner headed up the ramp. Cameron entered the ring and began to berate Alicia Fox, shouting that losing isn’t impressive. As Alicia got to her feet, Cameron started slapping her until Naomi rushed back down and ran her off. Cameron said her trademark “Girl bye” as she turned up the ramp. Lana and the WWE United States Champion Alexander Rusev are now interviewed by Renee Young. She asked if they heard Dolph Ziggler’s comments earlier. Lana said that they did and it doesn’t matter. “The reason people don’t think you have a chance is simple. You don’t. Alexander Rusev will CRUSH you the same way that he has crushed everyone else put in front of him.” Lana also pointed out that Cody Rhodes must have a death wish to challenge the “Super Athlete”. Rusev added that “Dog Ziggler” could never measure up to him as a man, athlete or champion and the same goes for Rhodes.
Our final recap from Raw is aired as we see footage of the face to face confrontation between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and Survival Trials winner John Cena. Paul Heyman did the talking for Brock once again, verbally sparring with John Cena. Cena’s rebuttal was directed right in Brock’s face, and he reminded him that the last time they met one on one, Cena beat Brock and he promised to do it once again at the Survivor Series. In the back, Naomi was shown helping Alicia Fox when AJ Lee came up to them. AJ spoke, “So, I was just informed that we get a chance to get our hands on the Bimbo Twins and their friends at Survivor Series. Team Bella vs. Team AJ Lee. Now, I don’t have, nor do I want friends among the Divas division but I do need to fill out my team. Right now, it’s myself and Tamina, of course. During your match just now Natalya agreed to join and I’m here to see if you will too.” Her words were directed at Naomi, who admitted to not liking AJ, but agreed to join. Alicia spoke up, saying she wanted in. AJ scoffed, saying that she saw Alicia trying to show off for Cameron and that it seemed like Alicia wanted to be on the side of the Bellas. Alicia admitted that she goes way back with the Bellas and wanted in, but after what Cameron did and then after what Naomi did, she wants in. AJ pondered it and agreed, but threatened Alicia if things don’t go well, before skipping off. CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION – ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER; For the first time ever, Alexander Rusev and Dolph Ziggler stepped into the ring against one another. Ziggler came in with a smart strategy, choosing to try and wear down the “Bulgarian Brute”. He blended that with his quickness advantage to give Rusev arguably the toughest fight of his career so far. Rusev came roaring back though and nailed a vicious shuffle side kick. Lana gave the signal for the Accolade, but Dolph rolled to his back and pulled Rusev into a small package for a close near fall. As they got up, Dolph charged and took Rusev over with a clothesline. They brawled outside until the referee’s count reached ten. Alexander Rusev and Dolph Ziggler wrestled to a double countout in 12:48!The battle waged on until Alexander Rusev clubbed Dolph Ziggler in the back and threw him over the announce table. He then cleared it off, looking to put Dolph through it. Lana shouted “CRUSH” but before Rusev could do any damage, Cody Rhodes ran down to the ring and went at it with him. Rusev overpowered him and threw him into the apron. Cody quickly jumped atop the apron and launched himself off with the Disaster Kick! Rusev stumbled back right into a superkick from Ziggler! The United States Champion dropped to the floor as Lana looked on in horror.
