Monday Night Raw: November 17th, 2014 – Berglund Center Coliseum in Roanoke, Virginia
Following a recap of the face to face confrontation between Brock Lesnar and John Cena this past Monday, the intro video and pyrotechnics display, the cameras panned over the arena in Roanoke as we were welcomed to the broadcast. Michael Cole, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Jerry “the King” Lawler welcomed everyone to the show. “Tonight, we will hear from Shane McMahon for the first time in nearly a decade as he addresses Bray Wyatt later tonight! Plus, the Shield take on the WWE Tag Team Champions CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in a handicap match! But that’s still not all! Brock Lesnar is in the building tonight and one has to assume he will be confronting John Cena” said Michael Cole.
Cutting to the stage, the music of Stephanie McMahon played as she made her way down to the ring, flanked by the members of the Authority. As they entered the ring, commentary reminded us of the massive match set for Survivor Series this Sunday, where Team Authority takes on Team Bryan with major implications. Stephanie got on the microphone and welcomed the fans to Raw, before gloating about it being her show. She said that she wanted to come out tonight and remind everyone that this will not be the last Raw that she’s in charge for. “This Sunday, these five Superstars, these five future WWE Hall of Famers, will destroy the Shield, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Actually, now that I think about it, the match might not even happen at Survivor Series. Tonight, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan take on their partners for this Sunday, the Shield, in a handicap match. I mean, we’ve all seen what the Shield do when they have the numbers advantage. On the other hand, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are former multi-time World Champions. This thing could go either way. One thing is for sue though…it’s going to go in favor of us.” Stephanie continued, saying that tonight, it was time for the Authority to show their dominance and unity. “Tonight, these five studs will step into the ring against five other WWE Superstars. Not only will they win, but they will dominate, just like they will this Sunday. We are united as part of the Authority, where our opponents hate each other and by the end of this show, that will be 100% clear to each and every one of you. Get used to the Authority being around because we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. This whole thing is mine. The WWE is mine, it is my birthright and nobody will take that from me.” ADRIAN NEVILLE VS. REY MYSTERIO; According to Michael Cole, Rey Mysterio handpicked Adrian Neville for his final match in Raw history. The two high flyers shook hands before the match and had a back and forth contest. While Neville had the speed advantage over the veteran, Mysterio used his wits to stay right with him. Neville scored on a big reverse rana for two and climbed up top. Unfortunately, the pesky knee injury that has bothered him since the Miz targeted it a while back came back into play and he slipped to the mat. Rey got him into position for the 619 and connected, covering for the victory. Rey Mysterio defeated Adrian Neville in 10:28!
As Rey Mysterio had his hand raised, you could tell that he wanted to check on Adrian Neville and see how he was doing. “AWEEEESSOOOOMMEEEE” was heard as the Miz and Summer Rae stepped out onto the stage. The Miz had a wide grin and spoke to Neville, saying that he just lost to someone he looked up to for his entire life. “Do you want to know why you lost to him? It’s that bum knee of yours. Remember how that happened Adrian? You refused my help! Without me, I told you that your career would be a bust and now you’re reaping what you sowed.” Miz ended by saying that until he accepts his advice, Neville’s career will never get out of the rut it is in.
Like we saw this past Friday on Smackdown, a vignette aired in a post-apocalyptic world. Suddenly, a newly face paint covered Ascension appeared on the screen and welcomed everyone to the wasteland! The Ascension is coming soon to Raw and Smackdown!
Returning from break, Adrian Neville was getting checked on by doctors when Dolph Ziggler came up to him. He wanted to make sure he was alright and then got to the real reason he showed up. “Rusev and I have until the end of Smackdown this Friday to pick our teams for Survivor Series. If you can be 100%, hell even 75% by this Sunday, I want you on my team.” Neville appreciated the offer and agreed, saying that the doctors claim he can be close to 100% if he rests his ankle for the next few days. TEAM AUTHORITY VS. CHRISTIAN, KOFI KINGSTON, MARK HENRY, SIN CARA AND ZACK RYDER; A random group to go up against Team Authority for sure, but not an easy task at all. Former multiple time champions, including two former World Champions. However, they were not a united front and it cost them. Team Authority worked like a well-oiled machine and looked like they will be unstoppable come Survivor Series. They knocked everyone off of the apron, leaving Zack Ryder alone with Randy Orton, who hit the RKO, giving his team the win. Team Authority defeated Christian, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Sin Cara and Zack Ryder in 8:12!
Michael Cole mentioned that Team Bryan really needs to get on the same page if they want to have any chance of beating the unit that is Team Authority. Bad News Barrett, Kane, Batista, Randy Orton and Sheamus raised their hands in the middle of the ring, proving to be a formidable team.
A video was shown announcing that tickets have officially gone on sale for WrestleMania 31. Plenty of members of the WWE Universe were sure to scoop up tickets already, preparing for the historic night. “HERE COMES THE MONEY…” The WWE Universe erupted as, Shane McMahon, danced out through the curtain. This was a Shane McMahon in a better mood than last week. He entered the ring and thanked the fans for that response. “You know, last week, I didn’t get the chance to soak this all in. Don’t get me wrong, even though I’m cracking a smile and having a good time right now, I’m still one pissed off son. I’m only in a slightly better mood tonight because I actually got my hands on Bray Wyatt last Monday.” Shane continued, saying that it wasn’t enough for him. “I know I’ve been gone for a long time. I wanted to go out and make it on my own and I did that. I was happy with my life, I was happy with how the WWE was going without me for the most part as well. Then, I saw my dad come out here to address all of you, only for that scumbag Bray Wyatt to show up and assault him. At one time, I’d admit that my father would have deserved that. He got his ass kicked more time than I can count, sometimes by me even. Not now though. He hasn’t been around on a weekly basis to make anyone’s life a living hell. He did nothing to provoke Bray Wyatt yet we still had to witness that attack. I was livid at home, but knew that my brother-in-law, Triple H, would do something about it.” Shane reminisced about watching the Wyatt Family take out the COO and it was then that he knew he had to get involved and return. The Wyatt signature hit the screen and the Wyatt Family appeared atop the stage. Bray was seated in his trademark rocking chair, flanked by Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Bray had a grin as he watched Shane McMahon stare out at him. “Welcome back prodigal son. These people have waited for you for years. They adore you, they love you! They are not alone though Shane. You see, they wanted you back, but so did I. Did you really think that I wasn’t expecting you last Monday? It’s what I wanted, it’s what I craved. I seek eternal glory and absolute power in the WWE! More than your father, more than your brother-in-law and, more than you. Even though you were gone, you could always come right back and get what was promised to you at birth couldn’t you? Now, you’re here and now you’re all mine to play with.” While some fans looked disturbed, Shane’s face never changed. He responded by saying that there’s a major flaw with that. “I’m not back to play. I’m back to kick your ass and I want to do that at Survivor Series this Sunday.” The fans popped for that and Bray Wyatt began to laugh. “Oh my goodness gracious Shane. You know just how to make me happy don’t you? I accept your challenge but need you to understand one very simple but important thing. Come this Sunday, there is only one thing that you can do to save yourself. RUN.” The Wyatt signature hit again as they disappeared and the show went to commercial.
In the back, Lana was shown walking when Summer Rae came up to her. Summer started with what sounded like a complete kiss ass compliment. Lana saw right through it and demanded that Summer cut to the chase. “Fine. I don’t know if you saw but Dolph Ziggler now has Adrian Neville on his team for Survivor Series. You should combat that and the best way to do it is by adding WWE’s ‘A List’ Superstar, the man that won the main event of WrestleMania, the man that has held countless titles in the WWE and the man that injured Neville in the first place…the Miz.” Lana pondered this before accepting, saying that Miz is allowed to join the most exclusive and dominant team in WWE history, Team Rusev.
CURTIS AXEL VS. RYBACK; The former partners imploded here as Ryback finally got his hands on Curtis Axel. Axel did his best to avoid the “Big Guy”, running at every turn. When Ryback did get to him though, things were real bad for Mr. Perfect’s son. However, just when things looked at their bleakest, Axel managed to school boy Ryback with a handful of tights and put his feet on the ropes for leverage to steal things. Curtis Axel defeated Ryback in 4:32!Curtis Axel stumbled out of the ring, still feeling the effects of the beatdown he took but doing his best to run from Ryback again. Ryback was fuming in the ring and quickly exited to go after Axel, who managed to escape to the back.
Standing by backstage was Renee Young with Chris Jericho. She said that he requested this interview time. Jericho stated that since his struggles in the Survival Trials, he has felt a bit lost. In an effort to turn things around, he offered himself up for Survivor Series. “I want to be on Team Ziggler. I know he and I have had our differences in the past but I didn’t forget anything that Alexander Rusev did to me this past summer.” Jericho said that he would be the best possible partner before leaving.
The crowd came alive when the music of WWE Women’s Champion Paige played. As she made her way to the ring, Michael Cole reminded all of the viewers that it was announced over the weekend that she will be defending her title against her best friend Emma this Sunday at Survivor Series. Paige entered the ring and began to speak, saying that this Sunday is going to be something out of a nightmare. “Emma and I came up together. Sure I made some acquaintances and even some friends during my time in FCW and NXT but something about Emma and I just clicked. It was Emma that I was in the ring with when I became the first NXT Women’s Champion and it was Emma that I took on at NXT ArRival earlier this year. I was beyond thrilled to give her a title shot at the Survival Trials Finals. Our bond is so strong that after she attacked me on that night, I still stood by her side. I didn’t want to end our friendship and I didn’t want to turn this into something personal.” Before she was able to continue, Emma’s theme hit and she walked to the stage. Emma, sporting shades and darker lipstick, said that she didn’t care what Paige wanted. “You just said it yourself. We came up together. I was in the ring with you in the finals of the NXT Women’s Title Tournament, I lost to you at ArRival and I lost to you last week. I’ve always been second fiddle. Even when I made it to Raw and Smackdown before you, you still showed up and was given all of the opportunities that I was never afforded. While I danced like a moron with Santino for these people, you were getting title shots. I did what I did at the Survival Trials Finals because I had to. I was no longer going to live in your shadow. This division is mine, that title is mine and the Emmalution is real. You want to keep our friendship? Well too damn bad because you are no friend of mine. You are a means to an end. You stand in the way of me being Women’s Champion and after this Sunday, I’ll be done with you for good.” Emma dropped the microphone and left to the back, leaving a speechless and hurt Paige in the middle of the ring. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) VS. BO DALLAS W/ BIG SHOW; Dolph Ziggler’s “Showoff Open Invitational” was answered by Bo Dallas tonight. Commentary also informed the viewers that apparently, Dolph accepted Chris Jericho’s offer and he now joins Dolph and Adrian Neville on Team Ziggler. Bo Dallas didn’t fare too well tonight as he ran into trouble several times quickly. Big Show had to look away in disappointment. Ziggler rather quickly ended Bo with the Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler defeated Bo Dallas to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship in 2:31!
Another successful Intercontinental Title defense for Dolph Ziggler tonight, though he was unable to enjoy it. Big Show got inside and knocked him out with the WMD. Show stood over the fallen Intercontinental Champion before easily picking up Bo Dallas and carrying him out over his shoulder. CM PUNK AND DANIEL BRYAN VS. THE SHIELD; The fans were buzzing for this one as it kind of had a big fight feel. The WWE Tag Team Champions worked like a well-oiled machine like they tend to, but even their best chemistry is no match for the Shield. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins showed once again why they are the most dominant faction in the history of this company. After more than ten minutes of hard fought back and forth action, everyone looked spent. Suddenly, Team Authority came rushing to the ring and took out everyone. This ended in a no contest at 13:14!
All five members of Team Bryan were too tired to fully fight back. Their efforts were commendable, but the five members of Team Authority proved to be too much. Batista and Randy Orton nailed their Batista Bomb/RKO combo on Dean Ambrose and Daniel Bryan, Bad News Barrett struck Roman Reigns with the Bull Hammer, Sheamus Brogue Kicked CM Punk and Kane planted Seth Rollins with a Chokeslam through the announce table. Team Authority stood tall over a helpless, victimized Team Bryan heading into commercial.
Returning from break, a new match was announced for Survivor Series. Thanks to their recent wins and losses, four Superstars have been given the opportunity to compete to become number one contender for the United States Championship. On the Survivor Series Kickoff show, Christian, Kofi Kingston, Curtis Axel and Ryback will do battle with the winner getting a shot at the US Title!
While Dolph Ziggler was getting checked on and regaining consciousness, Big E came up to him. Big E stated that he and Dolph have had their ups and downs, but he wants to join his team for Survivor Series. Dolph agrees now that the team has rounded out but curiously asks why he wants to join. Big E responded, “Earlier this year, I held that Intercontinental Title and I miss having gold. If I can join you and beat Alexander Rusev, then I can earn myself a shot at his title. Or, I could just come asking you for another shot at that belt as a favor for an old friend.” AJ LEE W/ TEAM AJ VS. BRIE BELLA W/ TEAM BELLA; These two went toe to toe at Night of Champions a few months back. AJ Lee had just returned and bested Brie Bella. Tonight, it was a bit different as Brie came out with her all and scored several near falls on AJ Lee. Of course, the opposing teams on the outside got into a big argument, which was enough to distract the competitors. Brie took advantage first, striking with the Bella Buster and earning the three on the former Divas Champion. Brie Bella defeated AJ Lee in 5:05!The eight women on the outside were kept separate by officials, but the arguing never stopped. Brie Bella and the rest of Team Bella backed up the ramp talking all sorts of smack and basking in the victory. Team AJ stayed at ringside, but only Tamina got in to check on AJ herself. Big Show was shown in the back, fanning Bo Dallas, who was overselling his loss earlier. “Show, if I didn’t get that dirt in my eye, I would be your Intercontinental Champion right now, I promise you that.” Big Show gave a slight eye roll and just nodded his head in agreement. Lana came up to them and said that she was very impressed by Big Show knocking out Dolph Ziggler and she wanted him on Team Rusev. Bo accepted for them, but Lana gave him a look of disgust. “I came here for the Big Show, not you.” Bo looked hurt but Show chimed in, saying they’re a packaged deal. Lana was annoyed but reluctantly agreed. Keeping to the backstage theme, Stephanie McMahon was shown in her office on the phone. She told whoever was on the phone that she sent Team Authority home early to rest up for Sunday. A knock was heard and in stepped Shane McMahon to a massive pop. Stephanie hung up the phone and the siblings came face to face. Stephanie said that she was meaning to talk to him. Shane responded by claiming he didn’t want to hear it. “I just came here to tell you that I’m back for Hunter and for dad. The fact that you don’t care and that you allowed all of this to happen sickens me. As far as you’re concerned, we’re done. Until you change things, you are no longer my sister and Declan, Kenyon and Rogan no longer have an aunt.” Shane stormed out before Stephanie could respond but you could tell she was hurt. ADAM ROSE, DARREN YOUNG AND DIGEO W/ EL TORITO, FERNANDO, SANTINO MARELLA AND TITUS O’NEIL VS. DREW MCINTYRE, TYSON KIDD AND XAVIER WOODS W/ CESARO, DAMIEN SANDOW, HEATH SLATER AND JINDER MAHAL; A preview of this Sunday’s huge twelve man tag team match. Tyson Kidd was the star of this thing, not only getting in the most offense, but using his cocky demeanor to decline tagging in his partners. Drew McIntyre got angry and tagged himself in, only to walk right into the Party Foul from Adam Rose. Adam Rose, Darren Young and Diego defeated Drew McIntyre, Tyson Kidd and Xavier Woods in 5:53!
Clearly, Tyson Kidd was not pleased with the outcome. He started to argue with the other members of 3MB, joined by Cesaro. Damien Sandow acted like he was above all of this though Xavier Woods seemed entertained by most of it. The three babyface tag teams celebrated as their opponents for Sunday bickered amongst themselves.
Back to the arena for the final segment of the night, the music of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar hit. He stepped onto the stage with Paul Heyman by his side. Once they got to the ring, Heyman opened with his trademark “ladies and gentlemen” speech. Heyman promoted the main event for this Sunday, reminding everyone of Extreme Rules 2012. “If you, for some reason, don’t remember that match I implore you to go watch it on the WWE Network right now. Look, I understand that John Cena got the 1-2-3 that night but the bigger picture is what happened during that match. Brock Lesnar victimized John Cena. John Cena left that match a shell of his former self. Things will be different this Sunday. You see, in 2012 Brock Lesnar wanted to hurt John Cena. That’s what mattered most to him. Looking back, there were plenty of chances for him to defeat John Cena but he kept the beating going. This Sunday, Brock Lesnar isn’t only fighting to hurt John Cena. He’s fighting to keep that title around his waist. He will go in for the kill when he gets the chance and John Cena will not walk out of Survivor Series as WWE World Heavyweight Champion because John Cena will not walk, period.” Before he could continue, John Cena arrived on the scene to a mixed reaction. He made a beeline for the ring and got right in Brock’s face. Cena reached over, without looking at Paul, and snatched the microphone from him. He said that, just like last week, he wasn’t here to pay attention to Paul Heyman’s words. “Hell, I’m not even really here to talk much. We know what the deal is. You’re going to kick my ass on Sunday, I’m not going to quit no matter what you do. You say you’ll walk out as champion, I say I will. We get it. I’m here to say one specific thing to you Brock. You can’t cut it.” Brock was taken aback by that, as were Heyman and the crowd. “You know it’s true. Back in 2004, you didn’t leave to pursue some dream that you failed at by the way. You left because you couldn’t handle this business and lifestyle. When traveling and carrying this company on your back got to be too much, you ran scared. I stepped up and became the man around here. Sure, you found success over it the UFC, but when that got too tough for you, you came back here with your tail between your legs. It’s why you show up now and disgrace that title. You have been champion since August and you have one title defense. That’s a damn shame. Everybody on this roster goes out and busts their asses night in and night out. Raw, Smackdown, non-televised shows, autograph signings, Pay-Per-Views, the works. We do it all, while sit on your ass at home because this is too much for you. You get Paul Heyman to come out here and talk you up non-stop so you can go home and feel like you’re actually accomplishing something. At the end of the day, you’re not special Brock and after I take that from you on Sunday, you’ll be nothing at all.” Cena put the microphone to Brock’s chest, who let it drop to the mat without grabbing it. Cena turned and left up the ramp, leaving Brock looking very uncomfortable.

WWE NXT: November 20th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
With just three weeks until our next TakeOver special, tonight’s show opened with a video package recapping the ending to last week’s episode. Sami Zayn, our new NXT Champion, was celebrating the greatest moment of his life. He brought his best friend and tag team partner, Kevin Owens, into the ring to join him only for Owens to say that he hates Sami’s guts before powerbombing him. The NXT intro video played before Rich Brennan, Alex Riley and Renee Young welcomed the viewers to the show. They promised a big night, as Sami Zayn will address the NXT Universe following the heinous acts of his best friend, as well as the continuation of the Tag Team Tournament, now to determine the new NXT Tag Team Champions!
NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT – BLAKE AND MURPHY VS. THE VAUDEVILLAINS; The stakes are much higher with this tournament now. Blake and Murphy have been picking up a bit of steam in recent weeks, but really ran into some trouble here. The Vaudevillains have been among the toughest teams in NXT over the past few months and showed why. They hit their patented Whirling Dervish to advance. The Vaudevillains defeated Blake and Murphy in 3:02!The gentlemen duo punched their ticket to the next round and move one step closer to the NXT Tag Team Titles. They will face the winners of the first round match later tonight between the newly named Lucha Dragons and the Legionnaires.
A promo aired to promote Survivor Series coming up this Sunday. Will it be the end of the Authority? Have we seen the last of the Shield? Can John Cena stop the “Beast”? Viewers were then treated to a self-shot cellphone video from the one and only, Tyler Breeze. “Prince Pretty” reiterated what he said last week about Hideo Itami and people like him taking his spot. “You people will not think of me as just some gorgeous piece of man who attacks people. Just like I did against Tyson Kidd, I will step into that ring and prove that NXT belongs to me.” Breeze issued a challenge to “Hideous” Itami, if he had the guts to accept. NON-TITLE MATCH: SASHA BANKS VS. VEDA SCOTT; With the news that she will be defending her title in a few weeks, Sasha Banks looked to gain some momentum. Veda Scott is unknown to a lot of the NXT Universe, but has been making waves on the independent scene. She did her best to hold her own, but the NXT Women’s Champion proved to be too tough to beat. Sasha forced Veda to tap out to the Bank Statement. Sasha Banks defeated Veda Scott in 2:34!The NXT Women’s Champion kicked imaginary dirt on her opponent as she had her hand raised and hoisted the title in the air. Her reign will be in serious jeopardy on December 11th against Bayley at the next TakeOver special.
An ad ran to plug the brand new “Macho Man” Randy Savage DVD. Relive the career of one of the greatest Superstars in the history of Sports-Entertainment. MASON RYAN VS. STEVE CUTLER; The dominance of the Welsh Superstar continued as Mason Ryan quickly put an end to Steve Cutler. Ryan used a backbreaker rack to keep him down. Mason Ryan defeated Steve Cutler in 0:56!i
It wasn’t Mason Ryan who the cameras and fans paid attention to though. NXT’s resident “Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin, who has also been decimating opponents, was standing atop the stage, watching Ryan. As Ryan headed up the ramp, Corbin passed by him and they stopped to have a stare down. Corbin cracked a slight smirk and walked towards the ring. BARON CORBIN VS. ELIAS SAMSON; Mason Ryan stayed atop the ramp to watch. He didn’t have to stick around for long though. Baron Corbin annihilated Elias Samson and beat him with the End of Days in very fast fashion. Baron Corbin defeated Elias Samson in 0:22!
Baron Corbin got the one up on Mason Ryan tonight, beating his opponent faster than Ryan was able to. Ryan was now the one to give a small smirk before heading to the back.
A commercial ran to promote WWE 2K15, which just got released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, for the first time ever! FINN BALOR VS. SCOTT DAWSON; It was recently announced that, after a series of attacks by Solomon Crowe, Finn Balor will go one on one with him at TakeOver. Knowing that he’s been taken apart by Crowe, we saw a mean streak in Balor like never before. He was aggressive and hit Scott Dawson with everything in his power. Dawson ended up being no match and fell to the Coup de Grace double stomp. Finn Balor defeated Scott Dawson in 1:28!Finn Balor wasted no time, getting up after the win and grabbing a microphone. He instantly called out Solomon Crowe and demanded he meet him face to face. Crowe answered and charged to the ring. The fans exploded when they began trading blows and it looked like Finn was finally able to match up with Crowe. However, Crowe went low with a kick. From there on out, once again, Crowe was too much for Finn. He violently attacked Balor’s leg, stomping on it viciously until he applied the stretch muffler. Finn was in agonizing pain until referees came down to break things up. Solomon Crowe laughed at Finn, writhing on the ground holding his leg.
Renee Young stood by with NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks next. She first plugged a special sit down interview with Bayley next week before asking Sasha about facing Bayley. Sasha was instantly ticked off about the interview. “This is pathetic. Congratulations Bayley, you won a number one contender’s match. Bravo. Guess what? You haven’t won this (Women’s Title) yet. The spotlight shouldn’t be on you. There shouldn’t be a special interview with you because you aren’t special. For your information Renee, I’m not worried or fussed about TakeOver. I’m going to walk in with this title and I’m going to walk out with this title because I’m the baddest women, not just in the NXT, but in the entire WWE.”
An advertisement ran for the latest WWE Film, See No Evil 2, starring Kane as the villainous Jacob Goodnight. NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT – THE LEGIONNAIRES VS. THE LUCHA DRAGONS; According to an insert promo, Kalisto and Sin Cara have joined forces and go by the name of the Lucha Dragons. The tandem of Marcus Louis and Sylvester Lefort have made a name for themselves in NXT by being one of the more hated duos around. The fans got what they wanted though since Kalisto pinned Louis after Salida del Sol to make it to the Semi-Finals. The Lucha Dragons defeated the Legionnaires in 2:16!
Kalisto stood up and threw his hands in the air, one after the other and shouted “LU-CHA” with each one. The fans began to do this along with him. They will take on the Vaudevillains in a Semi-Final match next week, with the winners facing the winners of The Ascension vs. Enzo and Cass.
The moment many of us have been waiting for had arrived. Our brand new NXT Champion, Sami Zayn, made his way to the ring to address the NXT Universe following the heinous attack by his best friend, Kevin Owens. There wasn’t the usual pep in Sami’s step as he entered the ring and immediately demanded Owens join him. When he got no answer, Sami went on a rant. He shouted about Owens not knowing the real meaning of friendship. “We were Tag Team Champions! This was the high point of my life and you took that away from me without giving me a reason!” Before Sami could continue, Kevin Owens appeared atop the stage. Sami stepped through the ropes but William Regal and officials rushed past Owens and stayed in between them. Owens spoke, saying that he didn’t owe Sami any sort of explanation. Sami said that he would beat an explanation out of him and demanded a match. Owens gave a laugh before responding. “Sami, you know me. You know that I do what I do in the ring to feed my wife and my children. I’m a prize fighter and you aren’t a prize. I’ll give you a match, but you gotta put that title on the line.” The crowd popped and Sami instantly said yes. Regal intervened saying that Owens hadn’t earned a shot yet. Owens took offense to this and walked down to meet Regal and get in his face halfway down the ramp. Suddenly, Corey Graves’ music hit as the NXT Champion walked out to join this. “You’re absolutely right Mr. Regal. Kevin Owens hasn’t earned a shot at the NXT Title. You know who does deserve a shot? Me. I’m still owed my rightful rematch and I want it at TakeOver.” Kevin Owens stepped to Graves in the middle of the ramp and got in his face. This chaotic scene also saw Sami still being held back by officials. To add to everything, Evan Bourne now arrived on the scene. He spoke and addressed Corey Graves. “You may be owed a title shot, but if memory serves me right, I beat you just before Sami did. And I made it clear last week that with that win, I wanted myself a title shot.” Graves was outraged at this and all of the arguing continued until Regal interjected. He shouted that he had enough. “I will not have my bloody show become even more of a chaotic mess! Corey, both you and Evan have legitimate claims for a title shot and while Kevin doesn’t, it’s clear that Sami will do anything for a match with him. So this is what we’re going to do. At TakeOver, Sami you will defend your title against Kevin Owens, Corey Graves and Evan Bourne in a Fatal Four Way match. And since you’re getting Kevin Owens on that night, I better not see you cause any havoc over this in the next few weeks or the match is off and you will be suspended!”

The Survivor Series Kickoff Show began with a look at the WWE Universe filing into the sold out Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The lovely Renee Young, Booker T, David Otunga and special guest Rob Van Dam. The first thing discussed by the panel was the big WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. They go back and take a look at the history between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, going all the way back to 2003. Booker T picks Cena to win his 15th World Title tonight, but everyone predicts Lesnar will retain. They continued onto a somber note and the retirement of Rey Mysterio. RVD was pivotal here, talking about his matches against Alberto Del Rio last year as well as his prior tag team with Mysterio. All members of the panel see Mysterio going out on top. The massive twelve man tag and Team AJ vs. Team Bella matches also get discussions from the panel. Over at the WWE’s Social Media Lounge, Tom Phillips and the WWE Universe had questions for the Miz and Summer Rae. Miz dodged most of them and turned he attention back to himself and what he’s done to Adrian Neville in recent weeks. He promised to take out Neville once and for all tonight to show the world that you don’t deny career advice from the WWE’s A-Lister. Back to the panel, Otunga reminded everyone that he was the original A-Lister before they sent things to the ring. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH – CHRISTIAN VS. CURTIS AXEL VS. KOFI KINGSTON VS. RYBACK; Interestingly, Curtis Axel and Ryback were formerly known as Rybaxel, while Kofi Kingston and Christian have teamed up recently as well. Ryback wasn’t focused enough on the title shot at the start, choosing to go after Axel, who fled around the ring. While Ryback gave chase, Christian and Kingston went at it. “These two men actually met earlier this year on the Kickoff Show before Extreme Rules” explained Michael Cole. Their exchange was fast paced and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Ryback finally caught Axel and violently launched him over the announce table. Kofi dropkicked Christian out of the ring and into Ryback. The pissed off “Big Guy” began to pound away on Christian until Kofi launched himself over the top and onto both of them. Axel rolled inside and, realizing he was alone, began to prematurely celebrate. Ryback entered the ring behind him and when Axel noticed this, his facial expression changed. He turned to Ryback who annihilated him with a Meat Hook clothesline. He covered but Kofi was in to pull him off. He and Christian worked together to subdue Ryback. They sent him outside before Christian struck Koi with a reverse DDT. “They worked together but once Christian got an opening, he made sure to take it” said JBL. Axel also took advantage, planting Christian with the Axehole. He covered but Ryback was up again and pulled him out of the ring. He drove Axel into the guardrail outside and proceeded to lay into him with right hands. Christian and Kofi got up at the same time inside and Christian took a swing. Kofi ducked and immediately hit Trouble in Paradise to become number one contender for the United States Title. Kofi Kingston defeated Christian, Curtis Axel and Ryback in 8:39!
The St. Louis crowd gave more cheers than boos, but still a bit of a mixed reaction for the win, which was surprising. Kofi Kingston boom clapped in the center of the ring. Ryback stopped to watch his celebration before going back to pulverizing his former tag team partner. He took his eye off of the ball for revenge and it cost him a shot at the US Title. The Kickoff panel took over once more, discussing that somewhere soon, Kofi Kingston will take his shot at the undefeated Alexander Rusev. That segued them into discussing the Team Rusev vs. Team Ziggler match tonight. Everyone agreed that they can’t see Team Rusev losing because nobody has been able to defeat Rusev in the past. They moved on to talk about the Women’s Title match as former best friends have now become enemies. Jealousy and the richest prize in women’s wrestling have driven a wedge between Paige and Emma and it all comes to a head tonight. Lastly, they talk about Team Bryan vs. Team Authority. Booker and Otunga believe the Authority will win because Stephanie McMahon always has a plan. RVD admitted that it is hard to bet against a McMahon but seeing the Authority gone is something he and a lot of other people have wanted since the summer of 2013, so he went with Team Bryan.
Survivor Series began with a video package set to “Faithless” by Black Veil Brides aired. It focused on the rivalry between the Authority and the Shield, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan over the past year. We see everything from the Authority’s attitude towards the Shield making them turn against them to Bryan winning the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania to CM Punk’s return at Payback in Chicago. Tonight, it all ends as either the Shield or the Authority must split up with a loss. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL welcomed the viewers at home to the official Survivor Series broadcast after the opening pyro finished up. The St. Louis fans were rabid and ready for tonight’s action. TEAM RUSEV W/ LANA AND SUMMER RAE VS. TEAM ZIGGLER; Right from the start, the two champions and captains were out to set the tone. Dolph Ziggler and Alexander Rusev went toe to toe to open things and the crowd was firmly in the corner of the Intercontinental Champion. While Rusev did have the power advantage, neither man really gained control and both tagged out. Goldust, the newest member of Team Rusev, came in and demanded his brother. “These two had some wars earlier this year” stated Michael Cole. Cody obliged and struck his older brother with some big shots. After they exchanged some holds, Cody connected on Cross Rhodes from out of nowhere to eliminate Goldust at 3:42. A pumped up Cody had his enjoyment cut when Big Show entered the fray. The man who once took the IC Title from Cody pounded away on him. He called for the WMD on a weary Cody after a while but Bo wanted the tag. Show reluctantly gave in and Bo tried his own WMD. It barely made Cody stumble, but Bo turned to Show and celebrated anyway. Cody tagged in Ziggler, who patiently waited for Bo to turn around and ended him with the Zig Zag at 6:46. Ziggler was immediately leveled by Rusev, who aggressively came in, pissed about his team losing two members already. “Alexander Rusev really needs to get things together” said Jerry Lawler. Ziggler was able to slide away and tag in Jericho, but Rusev was ready for him. Rusev made sure to stop and slap his opponent from two days ago, Cody Rhodes. Cody springboarded in but Rusev moved so his dropkick caught Jericho. Rusev launched Cody over and out before eliminating Jericho with a jumping side kick at 8:16. Big E now got the tag and the crowd buzzed at the two big men coming face to face. They booed though when Rusev backed up and tagged Big Show back in. Big E still refused to back down, trading blows with the world’s largest athlete. To everyone’s surprise, Big E pulled off a stunning moment when he hoisted Show onto his shoulders and planed him with the Big Ending, sending him packing at 12:05. A fuming Rusev charged in and clotheslined Big E to the outside. Miz, Lana and Summer Rae all shouted for him to get back inside but he just wanted to get his hands on Big E. They fought their way up the ramp until they were both counted out at 14:01. This left the cocky Miz all alone and the look on his face told the entire story. “Miz looks like he’s just seen a ghost” said JBL. Adrian Neville, who hadn’t seen action yet, asked Ziggler and Cody to let him finally get his hands on Miz and they did. Miz was tentative, but a peck on the cheek from Summer began to pump him up. Miz tried kicking away at the previously injured leg of Neville, but the former NXT Champion was too quick. Cody and Ziggler let them go, not even helping when Miz applied a figure four. Neville was able to turn it over, putting the pressure on Miz to break the hold. Once he did Miz quickly tried for the Skull Crushing Finale but Neville sent him off the ropes and snapped off a rana. He climbed up top, where he has slipped multiple times since Miz’s attack a month ago, but this time, he kept his balance. Neville connected on the Red Arrow to get the victory. Team Ziggler defeated Team Rusev in 15:25; Adrian Neville, Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler survived! “Team Ziggler has beaten Team Rusev because they worked as a cohesive unit” stated Michael Cole. The three surviving members celebrated in the ring. The hot streak of Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler’s career-defining 2015 continued, while Adrian Neville was finally able to gain a measure of revenge on the Miz after their recent issues.
A commercial ran to promote the first ever Stone Cold Podcast on the WWE Network! One week from tomorrow night, Stone Cold sits down for an in-depth interview with none other than Mr. McMahon himself! In the back, Team Authority was shown preparing for the main event. Stephanie McMahon spoke, telling them that it is all on the line tonight. “If Team Authority loses tonight, we disband and are out of power. Sure, you guys will all bounce back and stick around and I’ll still be part of the company but that’s not enough. I need to be in control of Raw and Smackdown, you all need me to keep things running smoothly for you. We need to win!” Batista stepped to her and addressed her, saying that right now, none of them have titles. “With you in charge, Randy and I lost the Tag Team Titles, Sheamus lost the Intercontinental Title and none of us hold the WWE Championship. Maybe I’m not the biggest fan of the way you run things. Maybe I’m not going out there tonight to stroke your ego. Maybe I’m going out there because beating up Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and the Shield is something I truly enjoy. I guess we’ll see.” Batista stepped out of the room as Stephanie looked on worried.
A short promo was shown, dating back to the early days of NXT. We saw Paige and Emma work their way up the ladder in parallel ways despite being incredibly different women. In the finals of the tournament to crown the first ever NXT Women’s Champion, Paige defeated Emma. Not one to give up, Emma fought back up the mountain and earned a shot at NXT ArRival back in February. Emma once again fell short. “Paige just always had my number. I saw no end to it. It felt like I was always going to be second best. Then, I made it to Raw.” Footage was shown of Emma making it to the main roster only to dance a lot with Santino and not do much else. “All of a sudden, there’s Paige and guess what? She’s getting title shots, Pay-Per-View opportunities and wins the title while I’m still second fiddle.” Emma admitted to being Paige’s friend but jealousy reared its ugly head. “I’ll admit it. I was jealous of Paige. She got everything I ever wanted and that would have been fine except for one thing. I knew she wasn’t better than me. There was no reason why she should get all of the glory. Why not me? That all changes tonight.” After all of that from Emma, Paige said one thing at the end of the video, stating that friend or foe, nobody is taking the title from her. “I’ve changed this division. I ended the era of the Diva. And I promise you that I’m not done yet.” WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – PAIGE (C) VS. EMMA; The crowd erupted at the sight of Paige, who has quickly become one of the most popular stars in the entire company. They came face to face before the bell and when it rang, Emma slapped her across the face. Paige didn’t take too kindly to that, tackling Emma through the ropes and to the floor outside. They brawled out there, where an angry Paige tossed her back first into the guardrail. Paige sent her back inside and fired off some rough headbutts. “It looks like Emma was right, Paige just has her number” claimed Jerry Lawler. Paige looked to go for the PTO already but Emma kicked her off and began to turn the tide a bit. Emma laid into Paige with stomps in the corner before hitting a Northern lights suplex for two. The aggressiveness in Emma seemed to grow with each close call. Emma grabbed Paige and smashed her head into the mat several times over until the referee had to pull her off. He gave her a stern warning to listen or get disqualified. “A disqualification is the last thing that Emma wants. To come close and lose because of a temper issue would be crushing” said Cole. Emma focused on Paige’s neck, possibly setting up for the Emma Lock. She ended up applying the hold but Paige refused to submit, just like she did when put in AJ Lee’s Black Widow months ago. Paige managed to roll over and break the hold. Emma let out a roar, frustrated with herself. She charged only to get pulled into a small package for two. As they got up, Paige delivered a big super kick to the ribs. She hooked Emma and planted her with the RamPaige! Paige took a moment to cover and when she did, Emma got her foot on the bottom rope just before the count of three. Paige couldn’t believe it, but like a true champion, didn’t get frazzled. The champion now went for the Paige Turner, which she’s used to beat Emma in their NXT outings, but Emma was ready and elbowed out of it. She quickly pounced, double underhook suplexing Paige into the turnbuckle. Emma turned her attention trying to remove the turnbuckle pad. The referee stopped her and fixed it, while Emma delivered a thumb to the eye of Paige behind his back. She then dropped Paige with a Michinoku driver, finally beating her rival. Emma defeated Paige to win the WWE Women’s Championship in 11:06!
There were a lot of surprised faces in the audience when the bell rang and Emma’s theme played. It doesn’t seem like many members of the WWE Universe expected to see Paige’s Women’s Title reign end tonight. The official handed Emma the gold, which she took a few moments to just stare at. As if she snapped out of it, Emma raised it high in the air before looking down at Paige and shouting “YOU SEE? I AM BETTER THAN YOU!” The new champion left the ring, clutching the championship to boos from the audience.
This was followed by a video package for the upcoming war between Bray Wyatt and Shane McMahon. Bray and the Wyatt Family targeted Mr. McMahon the night after Hell in a Cell and took him out. COO Triple H tried to get revenge but was thrown off the stage by Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. The prodigal son, Shane McMahon, returned to get his own vengeance. Bray wanted this though, stating that ending Shane would guarantee that he couldn’t interrupt his quest for absolute power in the WWE. BRAY WYATT W/ THE WYATT FAMILY VS. SHANE MCMAHON; There was a buzz in the building for this contest. For the first time in five years, Shane McMahon was back in a WWE ring. As soon as the bell rang, Shane charged at Bray and laid into him with rapid fire rights and lefts. Bray shoved him off but Shane was back up and going right back after him. Bray had to throw him into the corner this time. It was Bray’s turn to get his shots in. He sent Shane off the ropes and delivered a big body attack. “That was a brilliant move by Bray Wyatt. It takes the wind and energy right out of Shane” said JBL. Bray looked to toy with Shane, having fun at the expense of Shane not being an everyday wrestler. He took time to dance with Shane’s limp body as the crowd watched in discomfort. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Shane busted out a big DDT. Shane chose to step outside and he grabbed a steel chair from ringside. “What the hell is Shane doing?” asked Michael Cole. Erick Rowan tried to intercept but Shane whacked him with the chair. Luke Harper ran into the same trouble as the crowd came unglued for Shane’s burst of aggression. He slid into the ring just as Bray was getting to his feet and Shane struck him with the chair too! Bray Wyatt defeated Shane McMahon via disqualification in 4:36!i
Though the disqualification was called, the fans didn’t seem to care. They were getting to see Shane McMahon get his hands on Bray Wyatt and they were loving it. Shane laid into him with at least four more shots to the back before dragging him to the corner. The fans roared in anticipation, sensing they were going to see Shane’s infamous Coast to Coast move. Unfortunately, just as Shane got to the top across from Bray, Harper pulled Bray out of the ring and they backed up the ramp. Shane dared them to fight some more but the Wyatt Family were regrouping for another day.
Backstage, Tom Phillips had John Cena ready for an interview. He asked Cena for his thoughts heading into the match tonight. Cena claimed it was possibly the biggest of his career. “Sure I’ve stepped in the ring with Brock Lesnar and a whole lot of Hall of Famers in the past but this is different. If I lose tonight, then the WWE World Heavyweight Title goes and sits at Brock Lesnar’s house until he and Paul Heyman decide it’s time to defend it again. I have to win that title for the sake of the WWE Universe, this company and my respect for being at the top. Brock Lesnar’s reign of terror ends tonight.” For a change of pace, viewers were taken to a special look at the historic career of Rey Mysterio. After crossing over from Mexico and making waves all over ECW and WCW, Mysterio came to the WWE where his career really took off. Rey won multiple titles, including the World Heavyweight Title in his career-defining moment at WrestleMania 22. He would win it again four years later, as well as hold the WWE Championship. Shortly after that, he engaged in a bitter rivalry with Alberto Del Rio. Since then, Mysterio has gained a respect for Del Rio, but also fell on hard times. He’s had surgery, five times, in his left knee. Tonight, one of the greatest of all time hangs up the boots for good. RETIREMENT MATCH – ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. REY MYSTERIO; As if it were WrestleMania, Rey Mysterio made sure to have a grand entrance. He came out with Spider-Man inspired gear, playing off of the popular Amazing Spider-Man 2 film that was released earlier in the year. The two stars shook hands before locking up. They jockeyed for position and struggled to gain the upper hand on one another. “Very evenly paced up to this point” said Michael Cole. Mysterio was first to take over, hitting a quick burst of offense that sent Del Rio outside and got the crowd to their feet. A “you still got it” chant fell over the arena. Del Rio got back in with a smirk as they exchanged offense once again. It was a change of pace to not see Del Rio viciously attack Rey’s arm like he normally would. He did try several rollups to try and get the win but Rey kicked out of every single one. Rey got Del Rio in position for the 619 but El Patron was ready and dodged it before connecting on a kick to the skull. He covered but only got a near fall. “Rey Mysterio is determined to go out as a winner” said Jerry Lawler. Del Rio began to slap his wrist for the Cross Armbreaker, but Rey was ready and sent Del Rio into the corner. He set him up on top and brought out a top rope Frankensteiner, which he hasn’t done in years. It somehow only got him two, so he went up for a diving splash. Del Rio got his knees up and rolled him over into a pin for two. When they get up, Del Rio attempted the kneeling superkick but Rey avoided it, got up and dropkicked him into the ropes. He fell right into 619 position, allowing Rey to score with the popular move. He then dug deep into his bag of tricks and hit the West Coast Pop rana but Del Rio managed to roll through it into his own pin, ending the career of Rey with a loss. Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio in 12:21!
The fans gave a mixed reaction to the outcome. On one hand, they do like Alberto Del Rio but on the other, a lot of them wanted to see Rey Mysterio go out on top. Rey was stunned at his loss but was quickly embraced by Del Rio. Del Rio raised Rey’s arm before clapping for him and leaving him in the ring. Rey got a standing ovation from not just the crowd, but from the ring announcer and commentators as well. Rey walked around the ring, basking in the response, and gave high fives to the fans in the front row, before stopping to also hug the commentary team. Rey waved a final goodbye atop the stage before leaving through the curtain. ADAM ROSE, LOS MATADORES, THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS AND SANTINO MARELLA W/ EL TORITO VS. THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT, CESARO, TYSON KIDD AND 3MB W/ JINDER MAHAL AND NATALYA; Natalya was out to support her husband, but didn’t seem too happy about his partners tonight. Things moved quickly right from the start as Damien Sandow went after Adam Rose. He quickly tagged in and out to Xavier Woods and they worked him over. However, Sandow kept shouting instructions and talking down to Xavier, who grew annoyed. He got so fed up that he shoved Sandow down onto his ass. “What the hell is this kid doing?” asked JBL. Woods, the legal man, left the ring and walked to the back, getting counted out at 2:09. Sandow was livid and entered the ring to shout at Woods as he left. Entering the ring made him the legal man though, opening the door for Santino Marella to tag in and bust out the Cobra. Sandow turned around right into it, getting eliminated at 2:16. “Just like the first match, things are looking bad for one team” said Jerry Lawler. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro wanted to regroup, but the stubborn 3MB wanted to hear none of it. Heath Slater entered and wanted their biggest opponent, Titus O’Neil. Heath dared him to enter a test of strength. Titus laughed but obliged and clearly had the advantage. It brought Heath to his knees until Titus lifted him up for the Clash of the Titus and eliminated him at 3:03. “They’re dropping like flies” said JBL. Titus tagged in Diego, who charged at Drew McIntyre and hit a flying forearm. They went back and forth until Fernando got tagged in. He made a key mistake, falling on a springboard, and allowing McIntyre to pin him and send him out at 5:19. Drew wasn’t allowed to celebrate for long though as Darren Young came in and hit the Gut Check to get rid of him at 5:24. This left the newest tandem, Kidd and Cesaro, alone against the Prime Time Players, Rose, Marella and Diego. Diego came in first to do battle with Kidd. Kidd was wise enough to keep him grounded. After a bit, he slapped on the Sharpshooter, while Cesaro ran in and played defense. Diego tapped out at 7:08. Santino came in next but Tyson tagged in his powerhouse partner. The well-rested Cesaro went wild, delivering a flurry of uppercuts before a popup one took out Rose at 8:18. Santino gave the Cobra a shot but Cesaro caught it before it hit him. He tripped up Santino and had him set for the swing. Tyson tagged in on Cesaro’s back before the Swiss Superman dragged Rose to the middle of the ring. He swung him around several times until Kidd hit a dropkick to stop the momentum. He covered and eliminated Santino at 9:04. We were now left with Kidd and Cesaro against the Prime Time Players. The teams spent the next few minutes trading offense, with neither grabbing a real advantage. That was until Titus and Cesaro came to blows. In an impressive feat of strength, Cesaro got him up for a popup uppercut. Kidd dropkicked him once he got to his knees, followed by Cesaro eliminating him with the Neutralizer at the 11:48 mark. Young had been knocked outside so Kidd rolls him back in. He signaled for the finish as Cesaro set Young up for a powerbomb in the corner. Kidd came off the top with a blockbuster on Young, completing the double team maneuver. Kidd covered him for the final three count. The Age of Enlightenment, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and 3MB defeated Adam Rose, Los Matadores, the Prime Time Players and Santino Marella in 12:44; Tyson Kidd and Cesaro survived!
A mixed reaction came over the Scottrade Center as Tyson Kidd and Cesaro were announced as the victors. Natalya entered the ring and actually got a quick hug from Tyson and a high five from Cesaro before the partners went back to showing each other love. “Love them or hate them, you have to admit that was one hell of a performance by Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. They came back from down 6-2 to pull out the stunning win” said JBL.
An advertisement aired to plug the WWE Shop. You can go online and purchase all sorts of merchandise from your favorite Superstars and Divas! It was time to hype up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. Like the video for Paige vs. Emma earlier, this one went back. All the way back to 2003. Brash and cocky, a young John Cena challenged the incredible beast that is Brock Lesnar at Backlash for the WWE Championship. Brock put Cena in his place. A year later, Brock left the WWE to pursue his other dreams. While gone, Cena stepped up to the plate and became the face that runs the place, winning fourteen World Championships. Brock returned in 2012 and immediately targeted Cena. With a new style and attitude, Brock brutalized Cena in their Extreme Rules 2012 match, but somehow, Cena managed to come out on top. Tonight, they settle it once and for all with their third Pay-Per-View battle. Will the “Beast” reign supreme or will the “Franchise” add another notch to his legendary belt? WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – BROCK LESNAR (C) W/ PAUL HEYMAN VS. JOHN CENA; Talk about a match having a big fight feel. John Cena was sure to stay as far back as possible early on, picking his spots and not trying to get himself into unneeded trouble. Brock was fine with this as he seemed to be enjoying the futile efforts of Cena. Brock finally moved him to the corner and rammed into his ribs with violent shoulder thrusts. “You can see the entire damn ring shift because of Brock’s power” said Jerry Lawler. Brock started to beat down on Cena with rights and lefts, from the head to the body. Cena took a big swing, Brock ducked and planted him with a massive German suplex. Brock started jumping around in place before reeling off three more Germans in a row. Cena’s broken body looked beat. The champion covered but Cena never gives up and kicked out. Lesnar hoisted Cena up for the F5, but Cena wriggled free and shoved him outside. Once out there, Cena was able to turn the tide a bit, sending Brock into the steel steps and announce table. Cena rolled him inside and connected on the Attitude Adjustment as the crowd came to their feet. He covered but Brock kicked out at one! “Oh my Lord, what is it gonna take to even get Brock down for a count of two?” asked Michael Cole. Undeterred, Cena pounced and grabbed Brock in the STF. The champion struggled towards the ropes while the crowd hoped for a submission. He got close to the ropes only for Cena to let go for a second and pull him back to the middle. Cena locked it on again but this time, Brock used his awesome strength to muscle out of it and turn over to break the hold. Both men got to their feet but Brock surprised everyone by laughing while doing it. “Cena may have just given Brock his best shot and it just made the champion laugh” said JBL. Cena had a very defeated look on his face. He charged forward though, only to get hit with a huge F5! Brock covered but this time, Cena got his shoulder up. Brock still didn’t seem too fussed as he grabbed Cena’s arm, looking for the Kimura. Cena pushed forward, slamming Brock into the corner and rolling outside. Cena began to take apart the steel steps, knowing it was what took out Brock last time. The referee tried to stop him but Cena shoved him away. Cena slid them in the ring and walked towards Brock, who promptly turned him and hit a series of vicious German suplexes. After four of those, Brock used the rest of his strength to nail the F5 and retain the gold. Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 14:08! “What did we just witness? Brock Lesnar just absolutely destroyed the franchise of this company” said Michael Cole. Paul Heyman entered the ring and handed his client the WWE World Heavyweight Title with an evil grin on his face. So far this year, Brock Lesnar dominated the Big Show, ended the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania, won the WWE World Heavyweight Title and now he’s pulverized John Cena. If Cena can’t even come close, who the hell is going to take that title from Brock Lesnar?
Backstage, Team Bryan was shown getting prepared. Daniel Bryan was speaking to them as the captain, motivating and hyping them up with a speech. “For the past two years, we’ve all had to deal with the Authority. We’ve had to watch and listen to Stephanie McMahon do her worst Vince McMahon impersonation. We’ve been beaten down, put in unfair handicap matches and ridiculous predicaments, but tonight it all ends. Tonight, the Authority ends.” Dean Ambrose stood and told Bryan that he doesn’t need this pep talk. “Tonight, the Shield is on the line. This thing that we’ve built for the past two years is over if we lose. The most dominant faction in WWE history ends if we lose. So you bet your ass that Seth, Roman and I are motivated and we aren’t losing.” Roman Reigns added “believe that” before the three men left the locker room. CM Punk looked up at Bryan and smiled, saying that’s the Shield they want in their corner. TEAM AJ LEE VS. TEAM BELLA; The multi-Diva tag match at last year’s Survivor Series was a bit of a mess. This time around, it was more structured but a lot of things still came at a quick pace. Eva Marie started against AJ Lee for her team and immediately taunted her by blowing a kiss. AJ charged and quickly locked her in the Black Widow. Eva tapped within seconds and Team Bella lost a member within 12 seconds. “That has to be one of the quickest eliminations in Survivor Series history” said Jerry Lawler. Nikki Belle entered, looking to the right the ship for her team. She and AJ traded offense for a minute or so before both ladies tagged out. Alicia Fox was eliminated next following a Bella Buster at 2:09. Naomi entered and laid out Brie with her backside but Cameron broke the pin up. Naomi then allowed Brie to tag Cameron in officially, wanting to settle their issues. Cameron used some underhanded tactics but was no match for her former partner. Naomi put her down with the Rear End at 4:01. Pissed off, Nikki came in and promptly dropped Naomi with the Rack Attack to send her packing at 4:10. Natalya came in next, so Nikki chose to tag in Nattie’s Total Divas rival, Summer Rae. “Have you seen Total Divas lately Maggle? These two can’t stand each other” said JBL. They made that clear by going after each other instantly. Natalya hit a big spinning clothesline and went for the Sharpshooter, only for Summer to pull her into a small package and shockingly eliminate her at 6:07. A furious Natalya left while Summer laughed at her. AJ Lee was now left alone with her only “friend”, Tamina, against both Bella Twins and Summer Rae. AJ gave directions and sent Tamina in for the first time. Summer’s smile vanished as she started to backtrack. The Bellas wants no part in Tamina either, so Summer was thrown to the wolves. Tamina picked her apart, showing off her massive power advantage and eliminating Summer with a big splash at 7:07. Brie and Nikki decided to pounce together as both came in to clobber Tamina. AJ charged in and tackled Brie to the outside. Nikki then showed off her own impressive strength by hoisting Tamina up and dropping down with the Rack Attack, sending her home at 7:54. AJ didn’t even seem to care, throwing Brie into the guardrail and firing away on her. Nikki followed and tossed AJ right into the steel ring post. She rolled her inside and picked her up for the Rack Attack. Suddenly, AJ dropped down and pulled Nikki into a crucifix pin to even it up at 8:40. Nikki couldn’t believe it and now a beat up Brie was left alone with the former Divas Champion. To even things up a bit, Nikki dropped AJ with a big forearm before leaving. Brie beat the count, entering the ring and noticing AJ was down. She crawled over and covered but AJ kicked out. “AJ Lee is still alive” said Michael Cole. Brie lifted her and went for the Bella Buster but AJ broke free and hit a forearm shot of her own. She fired off two more, sending Brie to her knees. AJ bounced off the ropes and hit a shining wizard for the 1-2-3. Team AJ Lee defeated Team Bella in 10:33; AJ Lee survived!
Last month, AJ Lee may have lost to Paige to end their rivalry, but with a new Women’s Champion around and AJ being the sole survivor tonight, one has to imagine she is coming back for the title. She celebrated in the middle of the ring while Brie Bella was checked on by the officials. AJ’s team suffered a loss at last year’s Survivor Series, but she gained a measure of revenge this time around.
An advertisement ran to promote next month’s TLC Pay-Per-View event. The commercial focused on Dolph Ziggler unwrapping a table, ladder and chair for Christmas. A video package set to “Faithless” by Black Veil Brides aired. It focused on the rivalry between the Authority and the Shield, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan over the past year. We see everything from the Authority’s attitude towards the Shield making them turn against them to Bryan winning the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania to CM Punk’s return at Payback in Chicago to the last few months of wars. The issues within Team Bryan are also a focal point as the Shield have more on the line than their partners tonight. TEAM AUTHORITY W/ STEPHANIE MCMAHON VS. TEAM BRYAN; The ovation for Team Bryan was deafening as the fans knew they were witnessing a special team tonight. The first five minutes or so minutes of the match saw multiple guys get shine as each team tagged in and out frequently. The Shield worked as their usual well-oiled machine, and surprisingly added in CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to some of their offense, making viewers forget about their differences coming in. Kane, in his now trademark slacks, found himself against Punk, who hoisted him up for the GTS. Roman Reigns tagged Punk on the back so that once Punk hit the GTS, Reigns connected on the spear, continuing his run from last year where he pretty much eliminated the world. Kane was gone at 8:09. “Team Authority just lost their biggest member” exclaimed JBL. Team Authority regrouped in the corner before sending in Mr. Money in the Bank, Bad News Barrett. He traded offense with Seth Rollins before planting him with Wasteland. Barrett covered but only got two. He turned the elbow pad inside and tried the Bull Hammer, but Seth ducked and sent him over and outside. Barrett held his shoulder in a lot of pain and could be heard screaming. Seth promptly rolled him inside, hit the Curb Stomp and eliminated Barrett at 12:14. Stephanie McMahon threw her hands on her head in exasperation, now down 5-3. Sheamus, Randy Orton and Batista got it together and did a great job of surviving. “It’s been nearly ten minutes now of Team Authority just picking apart CM Punk” said Michael Cole. Punk was able to get fee and tag in Bryan, who came in hot. He hit everything moving and was gearing up for the Busaiku Knee, but Stephanie reached in and grabbed his leg. The slight distraction opened the door for Sheamus to nail the Brogue Kick for his team’s first elimination at 21:00. Punk charged in the ring, going after Sheamus. He picked him up for the GTS, only for Batista to spear him. The Shield now entered and it became a pier six brawl. Seth dove outside onto his Shield brothers, Sheamus and Orton, taking everyone out. Meanwhile in the ring, Batista planted Punk with a Batista Bomb and surprisingly got rid of him at 24:14. “Team Authority has now evened the odds” said JBL. The Shield stood across from their three remaining opponents and discussed strategy. Dean Ambrose came in and went toe to toe with Sheamus. Sheamus looked to be near victory, hitting White Noise, but Ambrose kicked out. Sheamus called for the Brogue Kick but Dean ducked and hit Dirty Deeds to give the Shield a 3-2 advantage at 27:19. “The Shield are fighting for their lives to remain together” shouted Michael Cole. Orton took this time to attack Dean but got shoved away and into the referee, knocking him out. Batista pounced, grabbing a steel chair from under the ring and bringing it in. Reigns entered to stand by Ambrose while Rollins brought in chairs to help level the playing field. As everyone stepped forward, Rollins stayed behind a bit and, to the shock of everyone, whacked Reigns in the back with the chair! “OH MY GOD! WHAT THE HELL?” shouted Cole. Ambrose turned to Rollins with a stunned look on his face, only for Seth to hit him in the ribs and then the back. Stephanie McMahon had the biggest grin across her smug face on the outside. Orton picked up Ambrose and hit the RKO. Batista woke up the referee to count the three at 29:56. Rollins now stepped outside while Batista demanded the referee to count. While he counted Rollins out, Batista and Orton put the boots to Reigns. The referee reached the count of ten at 30:30. Rollins instantly got back in and laid the same chair he hit Roman with under Roman’s face. Batista and Orton stood back while Rollins waited for Reigns to stir. As Roman started to push himself up, Seth came off the ropes and delivered a sickening Curb Stomp onto the chair! Batista tagged in, covered Reigns and won the match. Team Authority defeated Team Bryan in 31:39; Batista and Randy Orton survived!
The WWE Universe in St. Louis was completely and utterly stunned. ”Not only have we witnessed the end of the Shield, not only is the Authority still around, but Seth Rollins turned his back on his brothers” exclaimed Michael Cole. Stephanie McMahon entered the ring and raised Seth Rollins’ arm. He looked down on his fallen brothers before turning to hug Stephanie to a loud chorus of boos. Batista and Randy Orton also joined in on the celebration but the one question on everyone’s mind has to be “Why, Seth, why?”

Even in fantasy booking, poor Barrett can't avoid his injury problems.

Monday Night Raw: November 24th, 2014 – Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana
Following the WWE signature, a video package aired recapping the ending of Survivor Series last night. With the fate of the Authority and the Shield hanging in the balance, Seth Rollins turned his back on his brothers and took them out, allowing Team Authority to win and stay together. The cameras cut to the arena and before Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler could even introduce the show, the music of Stephanie McMahon hit. The principle owner of the WWE walked down to the ring with a huge smile on her face. Once the loud chorus of boos died down, Stephanie started to speak, saying that she told each and every one of the WWE Universe so. “Pay attention to my last name. I’m a McMahon. I run this place no matter who tries to change that. Daniel Bryan couldn’t outsmart me, CM Punk couldn’t outsmart me and the Shield certainly couldn’t outsmart me.” Stephanie spoke about the fact that with her father and husband out and Shane focused elsewhere, it is up to her to run the show. “Without me, there wouldn’t be a Monday night Raw. So boo me all you want because in the end, you all know deep down that you need me.” Stephanie turned the focus away from herself and to Seth Rollins. “I could sit here and tell you just why Seth did what he did last night but it is best to hear from the horse’s mouth. Ladies and gentlemen. Stand up and put your hands together for the savior of the WWE and the newest member of the Authority… Seth Rollins!” A massive wave of boos rained down over the arena as a new theme song hit and Seth stepped out onto the stage. He seemed to bask in the response as he joined Stephanie in the ring and embraced her in a hug. Seth sported a very wide grin across his face. He addressed the crowd, telling them right off the bat that he did what he did for one simple reason. “It was best for business.” That drew even louder boos. Seth continued by talking about the history of the Shield. “Look where we are tonight. Indianapolis. The very same building where, two years ago, the Shield made our big debut. You all witnessed Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and myself run roughshod over this entire roster. We found tons of success but one thing always bugged me. You see, when we first showed up, a lot of fans seemed to think that Dean was the leader. That was fine though since you were all still new to me. As time went on though, Roman Reigns somehow became the guy the fans viewed as the man in charge. It was clear that the WWE Universe was filled with nothing but idiots. I’m the man. I was the brains behind the Shield. I was the architect of the most dominant stable in WWE history.” Seth admitted that some would question his decision to break up a stable that was so successful. “That is why I was the architect. I’m always thinking one step ahead. Sure, we had a great run, but it was time to start thinking about me. I’m in the WWE to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and I couldn’t exactly do that when I was too busy hauling Reigns and Ambrose around. How many title shots did I get while part of the Shield? None. I didn’t get the opportunities or the respect that I deserved. So now, you can have your Ambrose’s and your Reigns’. I don’t need any of you. I’ve got the Authority behind me and it’s time for Seth Rollins to look out for Seth Rollins.” The fans chanted “you sold out”, causing Seth to smirk and say that he bought in. Seth prepared to leave but stopped and turned back. “Actually, you guys can’t have your Roman Reigns. You see, when I curb stomped him on that chair last night, I put him on the shelf.” Seth attempted to continue until another unheard theme played. The confusion on the fans’ faces turned to excitement as Dean Ambrose came charging towards the ring. Stephanie quickly bolted, while Seth took off his jacket and traded blows with the “Lunatic Fringe”. Ambrose began to win out, sending Seth out of the ring with a big clothesline. Not content, Dean tried to follow up, but Stephanie had security come out and hold him back. Seth escaped to the back with her while the crowd went rabid for Ambrose. BIG SHOW AND BO DALLAS DEF. CHRIS JERICHO AND CODY RHODES IN 6:08; After the events of Team Rusev vs. Team Ziggler last night, these four men went at it again. Cody survived on his team, while Jericho got eliminated following an accidental dropkick from Cody and a kick from Alexander Rusev. Bo and Show continued to show off strong chemistry. Cody got the hot tag and cleaned house. He seemed to be on the verge of a win over Bo when Jericho tagged himself in. Unfortunately, he walked right into a WMD from Show, who then sent Cody outside as Bo covered Jericho for the win. Bo and Show performed a victory lap around the ring, while Cody looked at his fallen partner with confusion across his face.
Backstage, the Authority was shown in their office when Seth Rollins and Stephanie McMahon entered. Batista, who was already pissed last night, got right up in Stephanie and Seth’s faces. “So we go out and bust our asses for thirty minutes for you when you had this weasel in your back pocket?” Seth stepped to Batista, telling him to watch what he says since Seth was one of the guys that beat Evolution. Stephanie got in between them and admitted that she kept the Seth thing a secret to be as safe as possible. To keep things cool, Stephanie came up with an idea. “Dave, how about this? Tonight, you can have a microphone and go out there and say what you want to say, you can issue any challenge you want…you can have free reign.” Batista thought it over and agreed before leaving. Randy Orton did not look pleased at this. Stephanie turned to Sheamus and said that she needed him tonight to go one on one with Dean Ambrose. Sheamus was more than ready for the opportunity.
RYBACK DEF. CURTIS AXEL IN 2:48; The duo formerly known as Rybaxel collided here tonight. For weeks, Ryback has been looking to get his hands on Curtis Axel and it finally happened. Axel fought him off slightly, but Ryback was vicious. He continued his hot streak with the Shell Shock. Ryback shouted “FEED ME GOLD” during his celebration, signaling that despite not winning his match last night, he was still on the hunt for a championship.
A vignette aired hyping up the upcoming debut of the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions, the Ascension. The wasteland comes to Raw soon! The fans came to their feet for the arrival of the WWE Tag Team Champions, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. It was clear that they were still feeling the effects of their match at Survivor Series. Punk had a microphone and addressed Seth Rollins, calling him a worm. “We were right there. We were so close to ending the Authority. We were so close to shutting up Stephanie McMahon once and for all, only for Seth Rollins to ruin it.” Bryan called Seth an idiot and a sellout. Punk continued by saying they still live in the Authority’s world. “That means that they are going to be doing everything in their power to take these titles off of us. The thing is, we don’t know what’s coming next. We’ve beaten every member of the Authority. Maybe Stephanie will get a partner and take us on herself. Regardless of what she decides, just know this. I did not come back here to be some puppet or someone that can be pushed around. We are still going to fight the Authority with everything we’ve got. Stephanie, you’re going to have to kill us to stop us.” The crowd popped for that but it turned to fear when the Wyatt signature hit the screen. Suddenly, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were behind the Tag Team Champions and they leveled them from behind. With the sneak attack advantage, Harper and Rowan took it to Punk and Bryan, clubbing away at them. Rowan tossed Punk into the stage wall, knocking him mostly unconscious. Rowan pounded away on Bryan until Harper stopped him. He signaled something to Rowan, who lifted Bryan to his feet. Harper and Rowan grabbed Bryan by the throat and double chokeslammed him onto the steel stage. “What the hell was that for?” asked Michael Cole. Harper and Rowan stood over the fallen Tag Team Champions as the show went to commercial.
ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. THE MIZ W/ SUMMER RAE IN 9:08; Back during the Survival Trials, Miz defeated Adrian Neville and injured his leg for not accepting his offer to make him a star. Last night at Survivor Series, Neville pinned Miz to win their match. Here, Miz went after the leg again, but Neville has fully recovered from the injury so it didn’t impact him as much. He overcame a distraction from the lovely Summer Rae and got Miz down with a reverse rana. He went up top, shook out his leg to show it was fine and hit the Red Arrow for the 1-2-3. Summer Rae watched in disgust as Adrian Neville enjoyed his win, putting Miz in his rearview mirror and looking ahead.
The commentary team took a moment to promote the WWE 2K15 video game, were you can create a Superstar and take him through an entire career with the WWE, going from NXT to the main event of WrestleMania. In the back, Renee Young was standing by with the WWE United States Champion Alexander Rusev and Lana. She asked them about last night’s loss to Team Ziggler. Lana cut her off with a spiteful “SHUT TUP!” She told Renee to forget what happened last night. “Rusev was not pinned, nor did he submit. Dolph Ziggler and his puny Intercontinental Title got lucky. We do not dwell on the past though.” Renee mentioned that looking to the future means Rusev’s upcoming title defense against Kofi Kingston on Smackdown this Friday. Rusev took over the promo, saying that Kofi Kingston is going to get exactly what Big E got last night and that’s a beatdown.
“I Walk Alone” played over the speakers signaling the arrival of the “Animal” Batista. He strolled to the ring with a smirk, knowing that earlier tonight, Stephanie McMahon gave him free reign. He waited for the crowd to die down before addressing them. Batista started by reminding everyone that Team Authority won last night. He admitted that Seth Rollins as the ace in the hole was a crucial aspect but had a twist on it. “Even if Seth didn’t do what he did, I was not going to be defeated. The Shield beat Evolution a few months back but I wasn’t about to let that happen again. You all forget that I am a star. When the Rock is gone for months at a time and shows up, you all bow at his feet but when I, star of the hit film Guardians of the Galaxy, come out, you all boo. And I think I realized why. First, it’s because you’re all just plain stupid. But I think I know something that will make all of you realize that I am a megastar. I need to be the WWE Champion again. So, Stephanie told me to come out here and make any challenge that I want and I want Brock Lesnar.” The crowd popped for the news of this dream match, but suddenly, “Voices” hit and Batista’s tag team partner, Randy Orton stepped through the curtain. He spoke as he walked to the ring, telling Batista to slow down a bit. “I get that you were pissed at Stephanie but if you think that whining automatically earns you a title shot, you’re sorely mistaken. We’ve made one hell of a team recently, but don’t forget who I am. I am the Viper and I am the 13 time World Champion. Yea, you’re a big movie star, but you’re also the guy who tapped out at WrestleMania.” Orton and Batista came face to face in the ring and looked to be on the verge of a fight when John Cena’s music played. This wasn’t the overly excitable Cena that we’re used to. He was clearly still feeling the effects of the beating he took last night. Cena got on the microphone and said he wanted to halt things for a bit even though he would love to see them fight. Cena talked about the loss last night and admitted that Brock Lesnar is a completely different animal from what he remembered. Batista told him to shut up since he lost so bad last night. Cena again admitted to it but reminded them that he is a 14 time champion for a reason. “I know what I have to do now to beat Brock Lesnar and I want a rematch at TLC!” Orton laughed and said that after the loss he suffered last night, he doesn’t deserve a damn thing. Stephanie McMahon now came out, looking to settle things. She immediately told Cena that she agreed with Orton. Cena responded with an idea. “I don’t know if you remember this Stephanie, but long before NXT was the place to be on the road to becoming a WWE Superstar, we did that in a place called OVW. And way back in 2001, there was a group of guys that some called the OVW four. Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and some guys named the Prototype and Leviathan, who went on to become myself and Batista. Think about the business opportunity Stephanie and I know you’re a lot of things and a smart businesswoman is one of them. You could put together a match to finally prove who the best of the OVW four really is.” Stephanie pondered this, causing Batista to flip out. “What the hell Stephanie? This was my time dammit! I want a WWE Title shot and only me!” Stephanie did not take too kindly to being yelled at, and she responded with her decision. “Brock Lesnar is not scheduled for any upcoming Raws or Smackdowns or TLC. However, the three of you are. So I’m going to put together a match that has never been seen before. Batista, Randy Orton and John Cena will all compete in a Triple Threat match at TLC and the winner faces Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.” Stephanie stormed off. Cena and Orton looked pleased, but Batista was livid.
Michael Cole now directed the viewers to some updates about last night. Both Roman Reigns and Bad News Barrett suffered injuries during the main event. Both men had x-rays done earlier today and the results came in. Reigns suffered a hernia and is expected to miss anywhere between 2-3 months, while Barrett has a much more severe injury. He tore his ACL and is expected to miss 4-6 months. Stephanie McMahon will have a decision regarding his Money in the Bank briefcase next week. AJ LEE DEF. NIKKI BELLA W/ BRIE BELLA IN 5:24; Last night, AJ Lee’s team defeated Team Bella with AJ being the sole survivor. With a new WWE Women’s Champion, a match like this could go a long way to deciding the next top contender. Nikki overpowered AJ several times and even used a Brie distraction, but AJ knocked Brie off of the apron. She then turned to Nikki and bested her after a shining wizard. Once again, AJ Lee had the upper hand on the Bella Twins and she left up the ramp with a smile while Brie checked on Nikki.
In the back, Renee Young was standing by with Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Natalya. She reminded everyone that they were the survivors of the big twelve man tag last night and asked about the future. Tyson spoke first, saying that them surviving should come as no surprise. “We are the best tag team in the WWE. Fact. Nobody can touch us when we step through those ropes. Fact. We are the two best friends that anyone could be. Fact.” Cesaro chimed in, saying that he was on the verge of winning gold before his injury and with Tyson by his side, you’re looking at the next WWE Tag Team Champions.
Returning from break, Dolph Ziggler was standing in the ring. He handed the official his Intercontinental Title and signaled to the stage for someone to accept his Showoff Open Invitational. A few moments of silence went by and then “ONE OF A KIND”! The WWE Universe erupted as Rob Van Dam walked out in front of them for the first time since September. Ziggler seemed surprised, impressed and excited. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) DEF. ROB VAN DAM IN 16:10; A battle of respect between two beloved Superstars. Both guys tried gaining an early upper hand, but always had an answer for each other. Rob Van Dam’s cockiness was easily matched by Dolph showing off. Once they officially got going, the match moved along at a brisk pace with a highly invested audience. RVD scored on an enziguri and nailed rolling thunder to a huge pop. He climbed up for the Five Star Frog Splash, causing the fans to rise. Ziggler moved out of the way and RVD crashed and burned. He got up and fell to the Zig Zag. Post-match, RVD shook Ziggler’s hand before raising it up in a great show of respect.
After a recap of Shane McMahon vs. Bray Wyatt last night, Shane McMahon made his way down to the ring. He looked like a man that meant business and his words matched that. Once inside, Shane simply called out Bray Wyatt. He left it at that and waited for the Wyatt signature. It struck and Bray appeared at ringside, without Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Bray had a chair and microphone in hand and simply said “Ask and you shall receive Mr. McMahon.” Shane admitted to losing his cool last night but said that it felt so good to destroy Bray with a steel chair. “I’m not out here to play mind games, I’m not here to talk for twenty minutes and ramble on and honestly, I’m not even here to fight. I’m here to make one more challenge to you. You and I at TLC, no disqualifications.” The fans popped and Bray responded by raising the chair in the air and saying that he accepts on one condition. “Last night, you took it upon yourself to hit me with this chair over and over again. And I’ll tell you what Shane. I liked it. Yes, I want the power to control the WWE but I was oh so happy to know that you aren’t going away without a fight. I’ll be glad to face you at TLC as long as we can bring these toys with us. Face me Shane, in a chairs match! Face your fear!” Shane responded, “Oh I accept and you need to understand one thing Bray…I’m not scared of you. Not even in the slightest.” Shane dropped the microphone as we’ve officially got a huge match signed for TLC.
PAIGE DEF. LAYLA IN 0:54; An angry and pissed off Paige made a beeline to the ring and just wailed on Layla at the bell. She aggressively head-butted and pounded away on her before planting the former Divas Champion with a stiff RamPaige for the 1-2-3. Paige wasn’t done there, picking up Layla and locking her in the PTO. The official did his best to pull her off but it was to no avail. Paige finally released the hold and left up the ramp. Paige reached the midway point of the ramp and turned back to the cheering audience when suddenly Emma ran out and cracked her in the back of the head with the WWE Women’s Title. Paige fell and rolled down the rest of the ramp. Emma was not done, lifting Paige and throwing her face first into the ring post. Emma grabbed Paige by the hair and dragged her around over to the announce table. She cleared everything off and smashed Paige’s face into it five times. Emma climbed atop the table, holding a worn out Paige who was barely on her knees. Paige took some swings, but they barely registered, causing Emma to laugh. The new WWE Women’s Champion hoisted her up and hit a Michinoku Driver through the table! The crowd and commentators were speechless. Emma got to her feet and shouted “THIS IS MY TITLE, THIS IS MY DIVISION AND THIS IS MY TIME! YOU ARE DEAD TO ME BRITANI!”
After the break, footage aired from the break where EMTs had to come out and take Paige out on a stretcher. They placed a neck brace on her and gently wheeled her to the backstage area. Renee Young, shaken up from the last segment, interviewed Seth Rollins to a chorus of boos. She asked him for his thoughts on the upcoming main event. Seth first spoke of Roman Reigns, saying that his injury was something we all should have seen coming. “For years you all have called him the juggernaut and the powerhouse of the Shield but I’m standing here at 100% and he’s broken, sitting on his ass at home. As for tonight’s main event, my only thought is that I hope Sheamus leaves a piece of Dean Ambrose for me.” DEAN AMBROSE DEF. SHEAMUS IN 13:33; With the Shield officially done with, Dean Ambrose made his entrance on the stage and competed in a tank top and jeans. It was clear that Sheamus was here to play the gun for hire. He just clubbed away at Dean and hit him with his biggest offensive moves. Dean was his usual resilient self and just kept kicking out. Seth Rollins took a casual stroll down to the ring to take a closer look. As Dean began to rally, Seth tripped him up for a distraction. Dean shouted over the top at him, opening the door for Sheamus to pump his chest for the Brogue Kick. Dean nearly turned right into it but ducked and nailed the Dirty Deeds to secure the victory. As soon as the match ended, Dean got up and dove through the ropes out onto Seth. Dean laid into Seth with a flurry of rights and lefts while the fans went nuts. Dean picked him up and threw him into the steel steps. Sheamus got to his feet while Dean was beating on Seth and slid outside. He leveled Ambrose with a huge Brogue Kick to the back of the head. Sheamus helped Seth up, who seemed to be calling the shots. Seth slid Dean back inside while Sheamus grabbed a steel chair from ringside. Seth placed the chair under Dean’s head and stepped back, waiting for him to get up. Once Dean neared his feet, Seth destroyed him with a Curb Stomp onto the chair, just like he did to Roman Reigns last night. For the second time in twenty-four hours, the turncoat of the Shield took out one of his “brothers.”

11/26/14 Edition
- The WWE has made a plethora of signings in an attempt to beef up NXT in 2015. Their plan is for the brand to go on tour so they felt a bigger roster was needed. They have inked deals with top indy names Uhaa Nation, Jessie McKay, KC Cassidy, Nicole Matthews, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Rich Swann. Not all of them will debut instantly as some have a lot of indy dates that they will be allowed to fulfill but all will appear in 2015.
- After the success of the fist ever Survival Trials, there are already plans for it to return in 2015. The WWE may expand on it by including more Superstars, two separate blocks and extending the length of the tournament.
- There has been some talk of bringing back the brand split. The idea is to go back to single brand Pay-Per-Views. Those had some issues in the past, but with the WWE Network, fans aren't expected to shell out $60 to watch half of the roster. As part of the $9.99 package though, there is talk that it could work.
- Triple H has some major ideas for the upcoming year. He has been spending a lot of time building up relationships around the wrestling world. According to reports, he's not only looking for future additions to the NXT roster, but he has been in talk with stars of TNA and NJPW to possibly join the WWE down the line. Some of these names are rumored to be major.

WWE NXT: November 27th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
The countdown to NXT TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way continues as just two weeks remain until arguably the biggest show in NXT history. After the opening video, Jason Albert, Rich Brennan and Renee Young welcomed the viewers to the show and wished them all a happy Thanksgiving. “NXT on Thanksgiving is a tradition I could get used to” said Albert. TYLER BREEZE DEF. TYE DILLINGER IN 3:19; In recent weeks, Tyler Breeze has targeted Hideo Itami. Tonight, he went one on one with Tye Dillinger, who has had his own issues with former partner Jason Jordan and the All-American Real Americans. Dillinger started hot, but Breeze has been on quite the roll. He bested Dillinger with the Beauty Shot. Breeze got to his feet after the match and stopped to take photos with his phone. Suddenly, Hideo Itami ran down for some revenge. He fired off some strikes and kicks, sending Breeze to the corner. He hoisted Breeze up for the GTS, getting a massive pop, but Breeze slipped free and escaped up the ramp.
An advertisement aired to promote the latest WWE Film, Jingle All the Way 2 starring Santino Marella and Larry the Cable Guy! NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS – THE VAUDEVILLAINS DEF. THE LUCHA DRAGONS IN 6:51; With just two weeks until TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way, the tournament to crown new Tag Team Champions is wrapping up. The Lucha Dragons once again showcased their high flying ability and worked together perfectly. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough tonight. The Vaudevillains are on too hot of a roll and got the 1-2-3 after hitting Kalisto with the Whirling Dervish. The Vaudevillains put their dukes up as they posed, knowing they’ve earned a spot in the finals at TakeOver.
Jojo was standing by with Finn Balor next. She asked him what he planned on doing to combat Solomon Crowe. Finn responded by admitting that he got more aggressive last week and it didn’t change a thing. He was still left laid out by Crowe. “I realize now that I can’t just be myself and defeat Solomon Crowe. I have to become something else. I promise you, at TakeOver, you’ll see something you’ve never seen before.” A commercial ran for WWE 2K15, which you can now get on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the first time ever! MASON RYAN DEF. GERRY ENNIS IN 0:50; Like all Mason Ryan matches, this one was very short. Baron Corbin appeared on the stage to watch and Mason stared him down while hitting the backbreaker rack to win. Ryan continues to look a hole through Corbin as he headed up the ramp, stopping right at Baron’s face. Baron didn’t back down, but nodded before stepping away. Something is going to go down soon between these monsters.
Backstage, the All-American Real Americans were shown when Chad Gable came up to them. He again told Jack Swagger that he stands by what he said last time. “You’re meant to a singles star. Let me join you guys and I’ll be JJ’s partner.” Jordan looked annoyed and responded, “Don’t call me that.” “Come on bro, don’t be like that” said Gable before Swagger interrupted. “Do you realize that we are the elite athletes around here? Not just NXT, but in the entire WWE. What the hell makes you think you deserve to be one of us?” Gable answered by saying that he’ll show them. “Next week, I’ll have my first match and you’ll see that I should be part of this team. Because I’m ready, willing and Gable.” Gable walked off before Jordan said “I’ll admit, that part is kind of cool."
We hear from William Regal in his office. He has breaking news for NXT TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way. “After the events of tonight, I have decided to add two matches to that historic evening. First, Hideo Itami will go one on one with the man who has attacked him in recent weeks, Tyler Breeze. On top of that, two undefeated Superstars will collide when Baron Corbin takes on Mason Ryan.”
A sit-down interview, conducted by Renee Young, was then shown. Her guest was the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, Bayley. Renee asked Bayley about her thoughts on getting a title shot. She said that she’s had title shots before but this is different. “This is at a TakeOver special. This is the biggest opportunity I’ve ever had in my entire life.” Renee asked Bayley about Sasha Banks. Bayley responded by saying that the talent level of the women in NXT is at a high point that she’s never seen before. “Sasha Banks is one of the toughest women on the planet. I couldn’t beat Charlotte when I had my last title shot and Sasha’s beaten her twice, so believe me, I know how hard this is going to be. I’ve been training harder than ever over the past few weeks. I’ve earned this. I beat Becky Lynch and I’m gonna beat Sasha Banks.” Bayley spoke about wanting this since she was a kid. She brought out a piece of paper and handed it to Renee. Renee read it over with a smile and handed it back to Bayley before asking her to tell everybody what it was. “It’s an essay I wrote when I was a kid about what I wanted to be when I grow up. It wasn’t a doctor, a rock star or anything like that. I wanted to be Women’s Champion and I’m going to make that a reality at TakeOver.” A video package played, set to “Never Lose Your Flames” by Issues, showcasing highlights of Bayley’s career. Footage of her getting attacked or made fun of by Sasha and other women in NXT start it before Bayley fights back and makes her way to the top. The final image seen in the video is the match graphic for TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way, when Bayley goes one on one with Sasha Banks.
In the back, Evan Bourne was shown preparing for the main event. NXT Champion Sami Zayn came up to him. They were mostly friendly but Sami made one thing clear. “We’re partners tonight, but I realize that you’re coming for this title right here. All I’m asking is that we handle this respectfully. None of that Kevin Owens business.” Evan understood and agreed, saying that he doesn’t play the kind of games that Owens does. “At TakeOver though, I want you to know that all bets are off.” Sami agreed and headed out.
A commercial was shown for WWE Slam City! Your favorite Superstars are out of jobs and must go out into the real world! We heard from the Ascension in a dark room backstage. Viktor said that they are coming to Raw and Smackdown soon, but that doesn’t mean they forgot about NXT. “We are the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions and we’re going to get our titles back.” Konnor added, “Next week, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady are going to enter the wasteland. It will be total anni-YAH-lation.”
Before our main event, Rich Brennan led the viewers in a rundown of the upcoming TakeOver: Fatal-4-Way card. As announced earlier tonight, Hideo Itami will go one on one with Tyler Breeze, while Baron Corbin and Mason Ryan collide in a battle of unbeaten Superstars. Solomon Crowe’s takeover of NXT continues as he tries to best the newest star, Finn Balor. The Vaudevillains have punched their ticket already and they will face the winners of next week’s Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. the Ascension match. Then, with a childhood dream on the line, Bayley gets a crack at Sasha Banks and the NXT Women’s Championship. Lastly, Sami Zayn has only been NXT Champion for less than a month, but already has a major defense. He has to take on not one, not two, but three challengers in former champion Corey Graves, Evan Bourne and his former best friend and tag team partner, Kevin Owens. EVAN BOURNE AND SAMI ZAYN DEF. COREY GRAVES AND KEVIN OWENS VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN 9:36; A big preview of the upcoming NXT Championship match. Evan Bourne and Sami Zayn worked well together, while Corey Graves and Kevin Owens were less enthused about teaming up. Sami badly wanted to get his hands on Owens, but Owens was always one step ahead and avoided any confrontation with his former friend. Bourne and Zayn’s chemistry mixed with Owens’ reluctance to get involved allowed them to get in the driver’s seat. Just when it looked like Bourne would hit AirBourne on Graves, Owens ran in and whacked Zayn in the back with a steel chair. Owens also clocked Bourne with the chair, before waiting on Zayn a bit more. “THIS IS UNCALLED FOR” shouted Renee Young. Owens finally stopped about five chair shots. Graves to go his feet and Owens nailed him as well. He raised his arms over his head to a mixed reaction from the NXT Universe before walking off, leaving his three opponents for TakeOver out cold.
