Watching WCW Nitro from the very beginning of 2000. What a journey so far... NWO is still the most popular act on the show. The counter balance? Terry Funk, Arn Anderson, and other old f***s. All of them getting booed. What a mess. I'm loving it. Weren't those old guys actually called the Old Age Outlaws? Yeah, they were.

I hadn't thought of that in 16 years. I hate the world. And now Steiner is cutting a promo in a pimp suit, said the word Booty-O, ranted about Flair, and said WCW sucked. WCW 2000 was special.

Wow, Scott Steiner really was ahead of the curve. Though if it's the promo I'm thinking about, that's the shit that killed WCW to begin with.

We're talking Steiner's "Change the Channel" promo, right?

Been binge watching these. You can't say it isn't entertaining for most of the show. Much better than RAW is most of the time these days.

It's an extremely hot mess of a show in 99-2000, but it was interesting a car-wreck sort of way.
I watched the War Games 2000 show where they kept doing the "swerve" angle with Nash,Russo, Jarrett and Steiner only to reveal at the end that they were in cahoots the whole time, I believe this was a weekly thing as Russo couldn't get enough of "swerving" the audience.

The thing is when you get to late 2000 into early 2001 it suddenly started to turn around. There was some coherence and solid angles. Good stuff was going on. Then they closed.

It became a decent to often times solidly booked wrestling show with zero star power and because it wasn't a hot mess car wreck it kinda became just a boring show. They'd push huge mystery stars returning and it would turn out to be Dustin Rhodes or Animal. It was amazing to me at the time and wcw had been so bad that this lame duck tv was seen as such a huge improvement but it really was.

2001 being uploaded. Now that's totally worth watching. One of my favorite booking periods...brief as it was. Too little, too late though

Having every single Nitro available to watch in high quality makes the Network worth every penny. I'm still trudging through 1998 because I pretty much stopped watching after Bash at the Beach that year. It's surprising how crappy Nitro was getting in the fall that year. For some reason they stopped having quality midcard matches on a regular basis, then gave away the Horsemen reunion and Sting vs. Goldberg on the same show.

Now it'd be great if they fixed the episodes with missing matches or the same match multiple times.

Watched a Nitro where almost every match had a Harris Brothers run in, including the match involving one of the Harris Brothers.

Watching the end of this company late 2000 Goldberg was probably him at his most badass defending the new streak. Him losing for what would be his WCW career at Sin 2001 may have killed the company in hindsight.
