Man, Jim Ross keeps dropping the ball and letting these legends get out of control. JR's getting fired for this one for sure.

Haha. I can't help but kinda laugh at that. "I won't be commenting on this horrible event that happened so DO NOT ask....... Here's the link so you can learn about it from me." Anyway, big fan of Lawler, I've met him twice, accidentally almost killed him once (by pulling him down an escalator, yeah, no idea), and this is a horrible way for a guy like him to be remembered on his way out. It's certainly not some kinda Cosby situation but as domestic incidents go, it's pretty ugly to see this one see the light of day. The silver lining in all this, is Corey Graves has a new job he has deserved for a few years now.

Somehow, JR will be fired for this. It's not going to happen but I'd like to see ESPN loan Kenny Mayne to WWE to take lawler's place until the draft or whoever does color commentary with Doc Enerick on the NHL on NBC I would love to see Kenny Mayne doing wwe commentary.

I straight up hate posts like this. Are you Lawler? WWE needs to let this man go as soon as possible. Based on......? He's a pale shadow of his former self, he was a good color guy during the new generation and attitude eras but in the last few years, especially after he returned from his heart attack, he was a pale shadow of what he was.

Okay. How does that remotely relate to any of this? And clearly WWE's not dissatisfied with his performance, they've had him doing it for fifteen consecutive years now and even longer if you don't count the brief time when he left the company for a few months.

For all we know Lawler hasn't done anything wrong, so I suggest people cut it out with some of the comments being made against him until we know more. Lawler has had a lot of failed relationships in he's time and to my knowledge none of he's exs have even hinted at abuse, so let's not act like this would be in character for him. The same goes for anyone that might fully blame the girlfriend too. It only just happened, we'll likely know for sure which of them is telling the truth by whatever else goes down after this. What I don't get is all this "this is possible because he dates younger women". As long as they're of age, I don't care if its by half and he treats them well.

I don't even think it's morally right of media outlets to post the he said-she said type stories until someone is charged. With the way a sizable portion of the world convicts people at the moment they're accused, it too dangerous to the reputations of the people involved.
Having said that, their stories are so close together that it could be difficult to charge either of them. Also, if she was legally drunk and Lawler was not, that could play in to things.

Predictable thread is predictable. Reserve judgement until you can hopefully confirm what actually happened? No way right?

Never had the best impression (my pure opinion) about him as a person, but I'd love to hear Graves on the main roster

I'm happy for my ears because Lawler has just been awful on commentary since he went to Smackdown. But the circumstances suck.

I understand the urge to assume Lawler is guilty. We live in a society that constantly refuses to believe women when they have been assaulted and this often has been amplified when women have claimed male celebrities attacked them. However, we must acknowledge that there is just no evidence there right now for either side of the story. We must be extremely vigilant if more comes out later on but for now we should just hope no further violence occurs between the two.

Already calling bullshit on that one. Lawler living with someone who's finished puberty? I actually have tears in my eyes

I straight up hate posts like this. Are you Lawler? WWE needs to let this man go as soon as possible. With what reasoning? It's completely he said/she said at this point. They're right to suspend him as that is the precedent, but there's absolutely no reason to release him because of the arrest. Funny how the RESPONDING POLICE ON THE SCENE were unable to determine the aggressor, but a bunch of people on the internet have decided Lawler is 100% guilty.

What sticks out to me is the "I know where the gun is" remark. If my partner pulled a gun on me OR on themselves, I'd do whatever was necessary to stop them from using it, including physical force. Both parties seem to agree that the gun wasn't pulled out to be used against each other, but who knows? Does this woman have a history of suicide? Of violence? Mental issues? We just don't know. Same could be said for Lawler at this point. One could also argue that it's on Jerry for keeping a gun in the house and/or for encouraging her to use it in any way, even sarcastically, but that's a whole other hot-button debate that shouldn't be had here. Maybe this was an isolated incident in an otherwise fine relationship, but if not, I hope these two break up now for both their sakes.
Back to the humor, isn't Lawler a God in Memphis? He'll get fined $20 and a few years probation, while the woman will get like ten years in jail.

Haha. I can't help but kinda laugh at that. "I won't be commenting on this horrible event that happened so DO NOT ask....... Here's the link so you can learn about it from me." Linking the WWE.com update about it is actually the smartest, most neutral way to do it; if he leaves it open ended and doesn't specify what, people will keep asking him. If he puts it into his own words, he risks colouring those words with his own thoughts on the matter, which could be a problem with any number of parties depending on what those thoughts are. By just posting only what the company itself has said, he's not saying anything out of line while also pre-empting the questions asking him what happened that he won't talk about. Because people will inevitably do that anyway.
