And, per Cageking, here is the next Round: Round 12: IT'S BROADWAY FOLKSChoose a song from ANY form of Musical: Broadway, Film, Television, Internet Based...if it's a Musical, IT COUNTS Round for Bonus Points (Optional): Covered Talent With this season of America's Got Talent over, and this year marking not only the end of American Idol but the beginning of Miley Cyrus on The Voice, I decided to give a spotlight to a lesser known field of music talent. Fact: I actually got this idea when reviewing my old plays of Idol, and a judge said "The problem with sending in something from a talent show is that the snippets are too small"...well, if I can't do a whole round on it, might as well offer bonus points for it. Contestants must send in a song that is spotlighted by a contestant on any of the following shows: The X Factor, American Idol, The Voice, _______ Got Talent, Star Search, etc... Do not limit yourself to simply American shows, feel free to go to Mexico or The UK, or anywhere your heart desires. You may also Double Dip since this is simply for bonus points, so for instance it works both ways: If CageKing has been used this season, I could be brought up if say I auditioned for American Idol (I WAS ROBBED DAMMIT), meanwhile, if on the finals of X Factor UK, someone covers "Bears Bears Bears" and that song has been used this season, you may use it as it is a cover. Remember folks, this is optional, but let there be a reminder that the Top 4 scorers for this section will get bonus points. All Due by Wednesday Evening, after Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X (Only on CBS)

Just 2 be clear we are sending 1 song for musicals that we will get points from, and then we can submit 1 other song from a Pop Idol/X Factor/Voice type show but the Pop Idol song is only for potential bonus points?

Very interesting next couple rounds. I feel the Broadway round is gonna have a lot of stuff I love and a lot of stuff I hate as there are few musicals I genuinely like, but those I do, I love. In fact, there are a couple that are pretty much guaranteed to have high spots from me if they show up.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for... my rankings and comments!
1. Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise 2. My Chemical Romance - Desolation Row 3. 10CC - I'm Not in Love 4. Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come 5. Scott McKenzie - San Francisco 6. Sarah McLachlan - When She Loved Me 7. Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now 8. Björk - Army Of Me 9. BYU Vocal Point ft. All American Boys Chorus - Go The Distance 10. Aimee Mann - Save Me 11. Bob Dylan - Things Have Changed 12. Jimmy Castor - Hey Leroy, Your Mama's Callin' You
10CC - I'm Not in Love
That might as well be called the Tsundere song. I do love a well-executed comedy song and this one is very well executed, especially since there is genuine talent and care behind it, which only makes it work better.
Aimee Mann - Save Me
It's not a bad song but aside from a few moments, it's rather generic and not very exciting, especially coming off the heels of the previous song.
Björk - Army Of Me
Björk is rather hit or miss for me and this one is, unfortunately, on the "miss" side. Her breathy voice doesn't fit the music very well in my opinion and the whole thing ends up lacking the energy it needs.
Bob Dylan - Things Have Changed
As respected as he is as a counter-culture icon, Dylan is more contentious as a singer (which is odd, come to think of it). Some people really like his nosey voice, I don't. So while the melody is nice, I can't get on with the singing.
BYU Vocal Point ft. All American Boys Chorus - Go The Distance
Even if I hadn't been told this is from aDisney movie, I would have thought it sounds like a Disney song, which... isn't actually that good a thing. Now don't get me wrong, I like many Disney songs, but if I asked someone to make the most generic Disney-ish song, this would be it. Compared to some of the more memorable titles in their library, this feels a bit phoned in.
Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise
Another era-defining rap song for this contest and I think I actually like this one even better than "The Next Episode". It's a really striking song with a unique sound, which gives it a more genuinely artistic feel than your average gangsta rap. You can feel a lot of frustration and regret just listening to it.
Jimmy Castor - Hey Leroy, Your Mama's Callin' You
I can't even think of much to say about that one. I kind of spent the entire time thinking "so... when does the song actually begi-oh, it's over... okay". there really isn't much to it, is there? It's short, not much happens... it almost feels more like a jingle than a song. Maybe it works in the movie but on its own, it really doesn't.
Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come
Hey! One of the two reggae singers I can name! And it's a really nice song too, full of hope and optimism while also being realistic regarding the hardships that come in one's life.
My Chemical Romance - Desolation Row
Really nice choice for this round. I know MCR gets a lot of shit, not really sure why because the few things I have heard from them, I have loved and this is no exception. A really good track and a really strong contender for this round.
Sarah McLachlan - When She Loved Me
It's a very beautiful song and McLachlan has a wonderful voice, and I also like the minimalistic style, which makes it feel very intimate. so that secures it a decent ranking but it is overshadowed by some of the other picks.
Scott McKenzie - San Francisco
Another classic (although oddly, I don't remember hearing it playing in Forrest Gump) and as I've mentioned several times already in previous rounds, I like 60's music and Hippie culture a lot, so of course it's pulling at my strings. But even without that, it's a very good song.
Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
Gee, so many classics! That is some true 80's goodness right there, with just a slight hint of cheese. But it does feel a bit too modest for this level of competition. It's cute, but to win this, you have to offer more than "cute".

For the musical category are covers fair game? Covers are always fair game as long as the song fits the category
