I also wonder how viewers are gonna react when {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Rick puts Negan in a jail cell, instead of killing him after the war. Assuming they keep that part of the storyline from the comics.
Because I know a lot of people are convinced (or just hoping) Rick will end up killing Negan for what he did to Glenn and Abraham. |

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the best thing to happens to this show since Lennie James came back in season 3. He is KILLING it (literally and figuratively) as Negan.
I felt that killing two characters was a definite cop out to justify a six and a half month cliffhanger. On that note they failed.
But the first Glenn whack and the Carl's arm fake out were very well done.
And where are people on Andy Lincoln's performance? I can't decide if it was great or 'just found out about Lori' over the top.

Too many people on Facebook crying that Walking Dead went too far So what exactly were they expecting?, Lucille to really just be an inflatable that made a squeaky noise when it hit the head? People just love to find something to complain about, It's human nature I guess. As far as I'm concerned the episode did it's job, Negan is the bad guy, you are suppose to hate the bad guy, If you now hate Negan because of what he did... Mission accomplished. |

Although I am no longer a regular viewer (lost interest due to inept writing a long time ago), I DID tune in to watch this episode, and they did a great job with it. I think it's funny that there are so many people whining about the gore factor being too much, or the scenes being too over-the-top, but really, what did they expect? If they knew anything about the comics, then they would know that this would be in line with that.
I just think that there are way too many oversensitive people who like to find SOMETHING to complain about in everyday life.

Yeah I saw the Maggie death on YouTube.
Pretty damn brutal.
Would definitely be interested to see all the deaths at somepoint, I know they have been recorded.
Heck we did have that scene where you briefly saw them all being Lucilled

They were not lying when they said that was a hard shoot. Had to be real taxing to keep that emotion for a few days. I do wonder if they did consider going off the broken path and choosing maggie over Glenn or Rosita/Sasha over Abe. |

To the surprise of no one, the show did a monster rating on Sunday. 8.4 rating, with 17.03 million viewers, they're second best rating ever behind Season 5 premiere which had an 8.7 and 17.29 million viewers. Talking Dead did it's best numbers ever with 7.57 million viewers

Just because they did it in the comics doesn't mean they have to do it on TV. The baseball bat beatings were too much for me. One of the things I liked about the TV show is they don't go for the "OMG I'm SO SUPERHARDCORE" bullshit that Kirkman does in the comics. Maybe you tough guys were all upset that Michonne didn't get raped by the Governor on the show like she did in the comics? Come on now.
I really enjoyed seasons 3-6(right up to that pathetic gimmick cliffhanger of season 6 which really assisted in killing my enthusiasm) and was one of the only people on this board that didn't complain about the show all the time. So I'm not someone "just looking for things to complain about". But I'm complaining now and I'm done with it. According to some of you in this thread that means I was only ever a "fan" and not a true fan.

If this was HBO i am sure they would of went through with it. However, a cable tv channel even tho they are pushing their limits was not going to kill a pregnant Maggie. Add on the fact I assume they keep Negans "weird" code of honor and I doubt he kills Maggie this way. It would of been crazy to have both her and Glenn die together like that tho. Something like he kills Maggie first and Glenn goes crazy and he kills Glenn the same way but he crawls to Maggie body to grab her hand before the final blow |
