loved this episode, i didn't bloody recognise who it was until the OTHER GUY said her name!!! but as they say welcome back erm ..... tara i guess and as for oceanside i have VERY BIG DOUBTS over their loyalty, their story don't add up, even negan isn't as sadistic as to kill ALL the men! he takes HALF of what you have ..... their too stocked up for one, leader lady natania dropping hints in her story (many outposts anyone?) and the whole "join us", which is basically a saviour thing! and who took heath??? and the keycard? wouldn't trust them as far as i could spit on them poor tara when she got back to alexandria, rosita getting into her head about getting all chunk norris on their asses I was actually wondering if they were the Whisperers before they started using walker skin/blood. They just seemed too out there and suspicious to believe that they were good honestly.

What I enjoy about the series is that t's different enough from the comics so to give some mystery to comic readers. Like Ocean Side. They don't appear in the comics at all so their addition to the show is a nice X-Factor for me. I have no idea what the hell is going to happen with them. Hopefully Tara gets more of a major role now, I've become a fan. I liked her giving the annoying brat the middle finger

Tonight's episode was unexpectedly good. But I've been enjoying this whole season, aside from "The Cell". I wasn't a huge Tara fan, but mostly because she hasn't been given much focus before tonight. She was charming and funny, much like Alanna Masterson usually comes off as in interviews. I figured they wrote her part in this episode with that in mind, but on Talking Dead Alanna said that was coincidental as the writer didn't know her. The situation with the Oceanside community and whether or not they'll end up {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}helping in the war against Negan, or even if anyone else finds out about them at all is pretty interesting. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}They weren't mentioned in the comics until after the war with Negan.
Regarding that second one, when was it mentioned? Was it brief or did they dive into it? I really don't recall. If you mean the part I mentioned about Talking Dead, I think it was early in their conversation. Just briefly, when they talked about the writer.

I hated this episode. Hated the random Tara sarcastic comedy. Hate when they drag this out when oceanside and Tara truly could have been included in a previous episode. They cannot ever stay compelling with their episode count. Bring it down to ten.

Hell, they still haven't shown it despite Rick going to see you know who after they left. Only thing know about them is they trade with the other communities

I just feel like every year now they feel the need to do what essentially could be a backdoor pilot. Let's take one character and bring them to a new place with new people we've never met before and develop them up and then never see them again.

Artistically, the whole 'just focus on one story per episode' makes sense, but I wish the writers would realise they can trust the audience enough that we can handle multiple story lines per episode. We're two episodes from the mid season break and we're still establishing characters and factions? Come on! So little story has actually happened this season since the opener.
Every episode is a different group of people dealing with how evil and awful the Saviours are. We get it, these are the bad guys. Does it have to be so blatantly black and white?
Also the sheer amount of functioning communities within such a small radius makes me think the zombie apocalypse isn't that much of a deal. You can't throw a rock without hitting some group of survivors at this stage.

I meant the second one They first mention Oceanside in issue 142. {Spoiler}Siddiq tells Maggie that he was the one who found the people living at Oceanside and told Rick about it. Oceanside has never actually been shown in the comics.

Oceanside has never actually been shown in the comics. Well, that at least makes Oceanside canon and actually elaborates on something briefly mentioned in the comic.

Man, they are trying hard to make Negan an utter bastard, aren't they? Well, in my opinion it's working. While it was definitely from the comics he came off more like a creepy and unlikeable asshole in this episode. He just made my skin crawl especially with his treatment of one of his wives.
