Hope they can pull it back in the next 8 episodes, but I swear if they start focusing on one setting an episode again I am done. It's the same for me too, I didn't even bother to watch this episode and from what I'm reading it seems like I didn't miss much. |

My interest for this series has absolutely plummeted, I only remembered it was back tonight a few hours ago. Hope they can pull it back in the next 8 episodes, but I swear if they start focusing on one setting an episode again I am done. It's the same for me too, I didn't even bother to watch this episode and from what I'm reading it seems like I didn't miss much. I haven't watched since episode 4 in the fall. I just stick my head in here to check the temperature. It never seems like I made a bad call. |

Pretty good opener I felt.
Bit slow at the start but once it got going it got pretty good.
Enjoyed the highway scene and hearing Negan on the radio.
The end was pretty good to.
I for one am still enjoying the show.

GREAT to see it back and very good episode all round, setting up "the gathering" of richie's mighty army  and FAILING massively, until the end! so wanna pet sheba, wanted at least ONE of them to perk up and go over to it  i would! |

Comic spoilers for those interested in a few differences from the show, following last night's episode {Spoiler}That mysterious group by the boat? Didn't exist. The only groups were Alexandria, Hilltop and Kingdom (Seaside is only mentioned in passing)
Ezekial doesn't date Carol; he dates Michonne. Carol is long dead.
Daryl doesn't exist in the comic. Therefore, nothing involving him last night ever happened.

This episode did give us this AWESOME Moment! Is that a sarcastic awesome? Because that was one of the absolute lowest points in the entire run of this show. I understand it's a zombie show and criticizing things for not being realistic makes no sense, but this scene really push that idea a little to far for me. Seriously, what the hell was that cable made of? Pretty strong shit right there. The whole highway scene saw things go a little too perfectly. Two cars with full gas tanks? A titanium cable that could split dozens of human bodies in half? The Saviours left a bunch of explosives for any Tom, Dick, or Harry to scoop up? It was a silly and contrived moment that especially stood out because of how dull the episode was. |
