Cyborg even in the books doesn't have a lot of 'there' there. Hell, his role here is pretty the tech guy. Combine that with how honestly bad the CGI does look on him at times, there's no way I'd do a stand alone with him. He's fine here, and I do like the character; but there's a reason he's always been a character in a team. That's where he works. So...Cyborg is Roman Reigns? I think they should've just had Green Lantern or maybe even Martian Manhunter in place of Cyborg and move the Borg-ster to a Teen Titans flick.

I think they did have a plan for a solo Cyborg flick. Don't know if that's still on or not. I personally wouldn't do it.
Does he even have any non Titans villains? I'm not thinking of anything.
For that matter, outside of maybe a mini-series, has he EVER been on his own?

Has anyone tried to actually do something meaningful with Cyborg instead of him just being "Booya guy" and it work out decently? I'm not as familiar with the Titans as I should be tbh.
There's been characters that don't have much going for them or are known for a one note (possibly 'embarrasing') thing that were able to rise above that pigeonhole.
Currently, Aquaman has seemingly been able to break away from being "That lame fish guy".
I'm sure Cyborg could break away from "That lame half machine Booya guy" under the proper writer. Could be wrong though.
Out of all of the characters presented so far in the DCEU, who would you want a solo flick the most, if new characters aren't able to be chosen in this hypothetical?

Just saw it. It was pretty average as far as action flicks go, but...
HOW DO THEY MANAGE TO GET EVERY CHARACTER WRONG!?!?!!?
Flash is an annoying goober knockoff of X-Men Quicksilver. Aquaman is basically axe body spray personified and may as well be named Chad. And Chad is fine when he's grunting and being surfer action hero, but sounds lame as hell when doing small talk. And he doesn't swim, he just sort of flies underwater while avoiding looking at any fish. Batman uses every frikkin gun he finds, gives no shits about his secret identity, and fights with the skills of a 68 year old gymnast from a non-Eastern Europe country. Wonder Woman is for the most part ok despite having Angelina Jolie's accent from Alexander and a mean mug that looks like she's focusing really hard on a magic eye painting. But the director does have a few creepy lingering ass shots. Thought Cyborg was fine as tech dude, not too familiar with him outside of Teen Titans and Superfriends. Guessing he's not normally Frankenstein's Monster hiding from society. And Steppenwolf has Scorpion King level CGI.
They do get one character right, but that character wasn't in any of the advertising, so I won't name that character, but that character makes the rest of the team pointless.
And terraforming again!? Really!? WHY!? What's wrong with just conquering a planet you wank pheasants!?

John Hamm is still my Batman. Yeah I wanted Jon Hamm or Josh Brolin as my Batman. Preferably Hamm because he has that softer charm but Brolin is one of the best actors even if he's bit too Gruffy McGruff. But Hamm never wanted to be a dramatic actor and always wanted to be a comedy actor and auditioned for Mad Men because it was his last shot of making it in Hollywood and was going to leave if he didn't get a part soon. I guess the only other thing is dude is close to 50 and never was shredded. Hard to build muscle if you never really had muscle to begin with and if you had muscle before muscle memory is harder when you are past midlife. But dude would of been a phenomenal Bruce Wayne for sure.

*shrugs* I liked Suicide Squad. I liked this one well enough. It was starting off kind of like BvS for me that it was kind of dry and dark, but when the team got together, things picked up. The last post-credit scene hints at some fun ahead, but I've just always really liked Justice League/Superfriends type scenarios.
Flash and Wonder Woman was my favorite parts of this movie and I was thankful they didn't completely ignore Green Lantern.

The more I kind of think about this stuff, the more I would have been down with them approaching it like they do comics.
I mean, sure, everything is kind of connected in the comics and you can still do the big crossover stuff but treat it like everyone's doing their own thing in the meantime and don't have anything major connecting them.
Like, you could have Batman directed by, I don't know, George Miller (when he's not suing WB for a lost part of the Mad Max contract) doing his own thing with his own story and Wonder Woman directed by Patty Jenkins doing hers. If you want to do a crossover, treat it like it's part of that particular place in the universe so Flash teaming with Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman or Wonder Woman in (insert name here)'s Flash movie. It allows a bit of creative freedom for those involved and you can also build an inch of continuity and community between the respective teams behind the scenes rather than having a Fiege style figure running it all.
But hey, I'm the guy who thought they should have done Justice League in the first place and built it around Wonder Woman because everyone, their grandma and their grandma's grandma knows both Batman and Superman's origin stories so what do I know?
Also, yes, this is my method of them doing a Green Lantern series of movies without much need for them to go to Earth much outside of the origin, so sue me.

I really, really liked this movie. Like Kevin said on the previous page, it's a very basic plot but it's a lot of fun. The character interactions are great and they really felt like a team during the action.
The two post credits scenes are awesome and I think one of them is my all time favourite post credits scene.

Yes i just got back from seeing it and i enjoyed it as well, not as much as WW though. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Flash's running motion looked really weird to me, plus he was to quippy at times

I liked it, quite a bit. Leaps beyond MoS and BvS. Not the level of WW, but a lot closer than I was expecting it to be.

I loved it. It has its flaws but I can live with them because it's a live action Justice League movie, and I've been waiting for one from the point I picked up my first JL comic in about 1988.

Movie did $13 million in preview screenings. Certainly nothing to sneeze at but under half of what Batman vs. Superman did.

I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Nowhere near as polished as Wonder Woman, and you can tell where some of the reshoots were, but the actors all had decent chemistry, I'm excited to see more from the new additions to the Cinematic Universe like Aquaman and Flash, and it seems like DC are starting to get slightly more consistent after a lot of false starts. {Spoiler}Wonder Woman was once again a highlight, definitely seeming like the lynchpin of the team not only in dialogue but also in the battle scenes, especially since all Batman seems to have to offer is shooting people.
Even Cyborg - while having much less to work with - wasn't too awful, although I feel like he might get lost in the shuffle in storylines without Apokolips tech and so forth involved. I liked the 'accidents' scene with Flash with both being outsiders, and feel like building on that would be the best bet. Someone who had all the social standing and lost it, teaming with a guy who seemingly never had it.
The least interesting character in the whole film was the villain, which seems weird for DC given that they've always had a much better rogue's gallery than Marvel in my eyes. I mean, it's obvious setup for Darkseid, but... Bleh. Not the best CG and not a nuanced character.
That said, I can forgive most stuff just because they finally, finally got Superman right. The symbol of hope in the latter part of the movie, with his human bonds being the most important thing, willing to risk everything to save a child in need, and the credits scene with Flash was just pure joy. I don't know who was responsible for all that, but they should keep it up. This is what we need.

Just got back from seeing it. I had a bad feeling after reading the reviews and the news leading up to the flick but I really enjoyed it. As many have said the plot's a bit basic and there was a little too much quipping (I think they were overcompensating a bit after hearing how dreary BvS was) but the action was great characters were really enjoyable. I loved that first end credit scene.

I enjoyed the hell out of this. But I also liked Batman Vs Superman and Suicide Squad, so I'm pretty easy to please. Jason Mamoa is basically Roman Reigns if Roman Reigns was a likable and good character.

Jason Mamoa is basically Roman Reigns if Roman Reigns was a likable and good character. It was throwing me because there were times, mostly in his first couple scenes, where Mamoa pretty much just had Roman's voice. Also while refilling on concessions on the way out I saw a guy wearing the new Shield shirt.

Movie was good. I enjoyed it. Even with it's story a mess and weak villain. Could have used about 10 minutes to introduce characters better, but still probably the second best movie of the DCEU.
