I too believe Chloe Moretz has the charisma of glue. Hey, she was awesome in Kick Ass. That was seven years ago...

Hey, she was awesome in Kick Ass. That was seven years ago... She was cool in the sequel too which was only four years ago. With the right character she's fine. Although she (or her agent) generally don't pick good roles. What possessed her to be in that Louis CK movie is beyond me, which would have been a bad choice even before he was exposed as a creepy sex pest.

I saw it earlier today and enjoyed it. The production looked really artificial, like it was obvious things were happening on a soundstage with green screens. But I thought the actual story and the acting were both well done.

I'm glad it's under performing, Hopefully DC/WB go back to the drawing board and actually build a solid plan and not just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks.
I'm not a fan of the MCU but at least there's a solid structure there.
And I'm not gonna blame fatigue since MCU is still doing well, It's the DCEU has offered 3 poor movies (MOS,BVS & SS) & a good one (Wonder Woman).

Finally saw it today. I really enjoyed it; none of that "it didn't suck/it was tolerable/they didn't kill the franchise" backhanded shade, it was a legitimately fun movie. That said, there were some VERY real flaws that could have been fixed if they maybe pushed the release date down a couple of months, Cavill's moustache and Affleck's noticeably rounder face being the standouts. Steppenwolf looked like something from a video game cutscene, but that won't matter in about a month, when everybody forgets who was the villain of this movie. Also, the CGI with Cyborg was really hit or miss, particularly one scene where he turns the mostly mechanized side of his face to the camera that didn't just look bad, it looked unfinished. Also, Flash was just cringeworthy at times. All that being said, Henry Cavill had his best showing as Superman, Gal Gadot was amazing, Ray Fisher f***ing nailed Cyborg, and I will stand alone and defend Batfleck all by myself if I have to. Still my favorite live action Batman by far. I would actually compare this film to Amazing Spider-Man 2, a movie which I enjoyed, but that has some serious problems when you actually stop to think about what you just watched. Best to just take this one for what it is and roll with it. One thing I will say, while I loved the very Watchmen-esque intro set to "Everybody Knows", it does feel like a nice microcosm of WB/DCEU's tell-don't-show strategy: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}They want us to feel like Superman's death killed hope on Earth, but Superman as this beacon of light was NOT the story we were told in the last outing. Now, maybe there's a "don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" subtext I missed (in which case, well, that is also a song they could've covered all slow, somber and sad) but it just felt like they wanted something they hadn't earned. Like making us feel like Batman is driven mad by the death of a character we've never seen, and whose name we don't even know.

For all the criticisms that Snyder and his vision have received, the worst scene in this movie was undoubtedly written and shot by Whedon's hypocritical ass. The scene where Barry fell on Diana's tits like he was Austin Powers and she was Heather Graham. I rolled my eyes so hard my head hurt. Mind you, Whedon already did that exact same spot in Age of Ultron with Banner and Widow. On that note, is it just me, or were there a lot of upskirt shots of Wonder Woman?

They're going to have to hope that the word of mouth is relatively positive; it's what sunk Batman v Superman, it's what made Wonder Woman a huge hit. By the sound of things this might fall a bit in between, guess we'll see. Yeah, once it was revealed that Ego's plan was a big, all-encompassing "this threatens the entire universe" thing I remember feeling like my eyes would roll all the way to the back of my head. I'm really tired of stuff like that, especially when, yeah, the big movies with villains like Thanos (or if they ever get to Darkseid with DC) are the ones with apocalyptic overtones, and now they'll just feel kind of old hat. Civil War was certainly refreshing in that respect It's one of the best things about Spider-man Homecoming; the stakes were a lot smaller. Vulture was just a really disgruntled working man gone desperate/bad.

I hope Cavil gets a Superman movie where he's actually Superman like we saw here. Put him in there for ten rounds with Brainiac.

Finally got to see it. It was okay. Nothing overly bad, but nothing overly memorable either. Maybe because they blew their wad with the Trinity in BvS but this movie was definitely lacking in that epic event feeling that the first ever Justice League movie should have. Few quick thoughts:
-Didn’t care for The Flash at all. The look, the effects, the character, none of it worked for me. Maybe I’m blinded by my love for DCTV Flash, but didn’t like it at all. -Aquaman worked better then I expected, and I mostly enjoyed him, but have a lot of reservations about that take on the character working for a full Aquaman movie. -Cyborg’s CGI sucked, but the character itself was really well done. Liked him way more then I was expecting -Seriously, that CGI was bad. How do you spend $300 mil. on a movie and have CGI like that? -Steppenwolf was a bad choice for big bad here, and he’s completely unmemorable. And his defeat was really lame. -Plot sucked, pacing sucked, score was unremarkable, editing was unspectacular. As a DC fan, I say go check it out, but as a film fan I can’t really recommend this movie. It’s not very good overall, and really is saved by the “nerdgasm” factor.
6/10 I guess

Yeah Justice League, saw it last night thought it was good but not great. Things I liked - Aquaman - Batman - Wonder Woman - Cyborg - {Spoiler}Superman - Parademons Things I didn't like - Steppenwolf - Paint by numbers supervillain. - Bad SFX for cyborgs face at times was jarring. - The Amazons bit near the start was just bad after seeing them be awesome in Wonder Woman Things I found flawed - The Flash: He just felt mis-cast as the flash, his running effects were weird (speed skating style), I didn't like his dorky portrayal and honestly after growing up on both Wally West in the cartoon and Grant Gustin from the TV series this Flash was miles off and is the worst by comparison.

Just got back from it, I'd probably rate it 7 out of 10. There are good things about it, like the casting, everybody did their job and you can always count on Joe Morton. Superman was closer to Superman, and his suit was bright. Thank goodness, his suit was actually bright, and not muted and dark. I liked the blossoming friendship between Superman and Flash. But there is a big problem with the movie, it's 4 movies in one. You've got the resurrection of Superman, the introduction of Cyborg, the introduction of Aquaman, and the introduction of Flash. You're throwing so much stuff into a blender, and hoping it will taste as good as if you ate the food by itself. At least Banner and Natasha were in a relationship. And yeah, upskirt shots, and putting her in tight pants and shooting her from behind constantly, as much as they focused on her rear, they should have just given Gal Gadot's ass a credit.

BOM thinks a 56% drop this weekend On the one hand, that's less than Dawn of Justice, so yay? On the other hand, friendly reminder that they need approx. $750M just to break even. Only God knows what the DCEU looks like going forward if Justice League turns out to be a loss.
