Hands down the best episode of the CWC so far. That Gargano/Ciampa match was so f***ing dope.
Also Ciampa needs to be on Smackdown already. I need this dude wrecking fools week after week.

That was the match of the first round.
Gargano/Perkins and Alexander/Ibushi may best it in round two.

What a great show. Tomato Chomper and Gorgonzola absolutely killed it out there. I can't wait for next week.

I love the pro-graps across the board right now. Except for the attitude era, maybe, there has never been a better time to be a pro-wrestling fan than right now.

Ciampa. Man I'm surprised NJPW hasn't tried to get this guy.

I can't wait to get some Gifs from this week. I'm working on getting my cousin back into wrestling, and I think tonight's great moments will help.

Maybe I'm just reeling from my excitement of that Gargano/Ciampa match but it felt like a MOTY candidate for me...maybe I wouldn't go that far but it was definitely one of the best matches of the year. Everything from Ciampa's strikes to Gargano's selling to the pure emotion...everything just clicked so well. I would love to see these guys have an Owens/Zayn feud in a few years time on the main roster with proper buildup. They clicked like natural bros on NXT tonight and came off looking like blood enemies an hour later. These two guys are the future of the WWE.

Holy shit, that Ciampa/Gargano match and then the ending had someone dusting my room. It was absolutely beautiful and hit me right in the feels.

Gargano/Ciampa was everything I wanted it to be. I'm so pumped to see these guys under full time NXT deals.

Not to much to say, great stuff.
One minor, I don't even want to call it a complaint but, it was a little jarring to go from NXT with Gargano and Ciampa laughing, joking and talking about teaming and all that to CWC and they are at each others' throats. Two different show I know but it was just kinda weird to me.

If you've seen Joe vs Ciampa from December last year then that's what you'll probably get, the monster vs the psychopath that gives as good as he gets.

That short little Joe/Ciampa match was what sold me on Ciampa. It was the best short little match I had seen in a long while.

Gargano/Ciampa is the type of match I would show my friends who have never seen wrestling to get them into it which is very high praise. What a combination of killer moves and storytelling!

I said it in another thread, but Ciampa/Gargano is a MOTY candidate in my eyes. This is what keeps me coming back to wrestling.

Excellent show this week and a HUGE improvement from last week's dud.
A few thoughts:
-This was my first time seeing Rich Swann and I really enjoyed what I saw. Yet another standout from Round 1.
-Noam Dar vs. Gurv Sihra was by far the worst match of Round 1. Dar taking on Hoho Lun in the next round is a serious opportunity for redemption after both these guys stunk up the joint in their first round matches. On the other hand, that match could be absolutely terrible. And the winner of that will be facing Zack Sabre Jr., which makes it pretty obvious that Sabre will be advance to the Elite Eight. It's a shame that Dar and Lun advanced over guys who really impressed such as Clement Petiot, Mustafa Ali, Raul Mendoza, and Fabian Aichner.
-There was talk online of Jack Gallagher vs. Fabian Aichner being the best match of the first round tapings. It was definitely an excellent match and both guys looked good, but Lince Dorado vs. Mustafa Ali is still my pick for the best match of Round 1. I'm looking forward to Gallagher vs. Tozawa in Round 2.
-Gargano vs. Ciampa, as everyone is saying here, was an awesome match. I wouldn't go as far as saying MOTY candidate, or even the best match of Round 1, but it was definitely a fun TV match with some impressive spots. I think there is a lot of potential for these two as a tag team. Gargano vs. TJ Perkins in the next round could be a show stealer.
Reflections on Round 1:
Most impressive in Round 1: Akira Tozawa Honorable mentions: Kota Ibushi, TJ Perkins, Lince Dorado, Zack Sabre Jr., Brian Kendrick, Rich Swann, Jack Gallagher, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa
Most impressive Round 1 losers: Clement Petiot, Mustafa Ali, Raul Mendoza, Fabian Aichner, Tommaso Ciampa Honorable mention: Da Mack
Biggest duds of Round 1: Hoho Lun, Kenneth Johnson, Anthony Bennett, Noam Dar, Gurv Sihra
Best match of Round 1: Lince Dorado vs. Mustafa Ali Honorable mentions: Brian Kendrick vs. Raul Mendoza, Jack Gallagher vs. Fabian Aichner, Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Worst match of Round 1: Noam Dar vs. Gurv Sihra
