Speaking of duds from round one, though they seem like nice fellows from what I can tell, the Bollywood Boys seemed a bit out of their league here. Were they included simply because they're brothers and/or have characters?

I'm not going to lie, I'd love to see Jason Lee signed.
I loved the Jun Fan mannerisms with the wrist katas and the finger wag.
Also, he's hot as hell, and you can't teach that.

Also. Observation. Itami's shoulder still looked really messed up. He moved real slow and couldn't even raise his arm all the way.

Yeah it just looked kinda gross but during his post match celebration he could barely get his arm up much. I dunno man.

I really, really hope I'm wrong but I just can't see Itami lasting long in WWE even though he just came back. His match was very slow in pace and still looked like the rest of his performances pre-injury. I can't blame Maluta either as he faced Ibushi in what was Kota's first WWE style match and they blew the roof off. Also, after being gone for 15 months he could have done something switch it up in terms of looks. He still wore the same yellow/black trunks. Some new attire or different hair/beard style could have helped.

I liked Noam Dar's corner combination. Other than that, really freaking sloppy and the crowd was dead.

The Aichner & Gallagher match was fantastic. If they don't both get signed I'll be irked. Fantastic.

Noam Dar looked kind of shit tonight, but I'm not going to judge him based off of that performance, because he got a pretty shit opponent to work with.
Now if he can't put on a good match with my waifu, then he's doomed.

The Gargano/Ciampa match is my first time seeing either of them. Very impressed, especially with Ciampa. I honestly think the powerbomb/lungblower should have been the finish, that was freaking awesome.

That powerbomb/lungblower (also known as Project Ciampa) was actually his usual finisher on the indy circuit

Ho-Ho Lun and Jason Lee should form a tag team. They can call themselves "Los Lun-Lee Boys."

I love the pro-graps across the board right now. Except for the attitude era, maybe, there has never been a better time to be a pro-wrestling fan than right now. Couldn't agree more. I was younger during the attitude era and it came off as edgy, but this era right now feels invigorating. I'm so happy people that deserve to be in the WWE are actually getting opportunity's. People that may not have gotten a second look are now being scouted. I freaking have Ibushi, TJ Perkins and ZSJ on the same show. C'mon....it's like the CWC knows......it's reading my wrestling crushes.... The main rosters are fun again, the shows are tight. Two weeks in a row and not a bad show from either (imo). This is the kind of wrestling you get stoned and watch with your friends.

My thoughts on the last round one opponents:
Swann: CAN YOU HANDLE THIS?! CANYOUHANDLETHIS!? Swann has nowhere to go but up, he is amazingly over, his theme is amazing, and he himself, is amazing. I don't know if he'll be one of the Cruiserweights on the WWE Callup, but he should be. He's a Superface if I ever saw one, and I want to see him have a Dance Battle with Da Mack very badly.
Lee: No Expectations and he was taken care of very quickly, but what I saw was nice. Honestly he impressed me more than Hoho Lun did, but Hoho was able to captivate the crowd more (It's all in the name I guess). I liked Lee's quickness, he looked good in the time he got, if he was WWE's third China signing I'd be down.
Dar: Yeesh... what a rough match this was. I don't know whether to blame Dar or his opponent but he kinda looked lost out there. His theatrics were weird, and overall the match never clicked one bit. He will need to show up big in the second round with Hoho, who is Hoh-over with Full Sail.
Shira- I guess this is why the Bollywoods are tag team competitors, neither one really brought anything singles wise. I would love to see them as a team in NXT, but apart, they just seem to lack what they make up for as a tag team, and he did not click with Dar at all.
Aichner- Tied with Ali and Da Mack as guys I knew nothing about and were blown away by. Had one slip up in the match and rebounded like a god damn truck, double springboard Moonsault, Orange Crush Powerbomb. This dude is a Powerweight, and I would be shocked if he wasn't under consideration to be signed. Alex Wright Dances again with his beefy flippy pupil.
Gallagher- What an extraordinary gentleman. I didn't think someone could make a Dropkick look so god damn devastating to make it a FINISHER but he did it. His catch style is beautiful, he has BUCKETS of character, something Sabre Jr.'s gonna need to show in the coming rounds for people to come around on him. He has it all really. I would love to see him get signed, he's like everything The Vaudevillains wished they could be with the crowd right now. His match with Tozawa is gonna be magic.
Gargano- A man I have watched since 2010 and seen grow SO MUCH since then, Johnny Wrestling could go so far beyond that of a Cruiserweight. His selling, his moves, the way he can do shit during a match, he just knows how to captivate, and the crowd can surely see that and get behind it. His match vs TJ Perkins is gonna be fire too, two guys that have done so much and still have so much more to do.
Ciampa- Maybe the most impressive to go out Round One. Like Gargano, Ciampa has a lot he can do and will do outside of a Cruiserweight Class. His strikes are insane, he looked like he killed Gargano more than once in the match, but he told SO MUCH Story before, during, and after the match, THAT, is what makes the full package of wrestling. Both Gargano and Ciampa have a bright future, and I can't believe their match was only a little over 10 minutes...
Next week we only have two matches, if it's still an hour, that means POSSIBLY we'll have some thrown together matchups? Maybe the Round 1 Losers get a chance to shine a little more as consolation? I'd really like that because it also maybe gives them more of a look to possibly be signed. You won't hear me complaining if we do. But Metallik/Tajiri and Ibushi/Alexander are gonna tear the roof off, and I can't wait to see more CWC next week!!

Rich Swann v Jason Lee - Pretty much a squash match here. No surprise to see Swann win, but wish we could have seen a little more Jason Lee. He seemed much better than Hoho Lun, at least he could properly sell and show emotion. Noam Dar v Gurv Sihra - Wow this match sucked. I have to agree with those that said worst match of the first round, easily. All this talk about the Bollywood Boys, but both of them looked awful in their matches.
Jack Gallagher v Fabian Aichner - Really fun match, I expected to like Jack Gallagher and I ended up loving him almost as much as Daniel Bryan. Definitely have to give Fabian Aichner credit though, he is very talented and I hope he gets signed.
Johnny Gargano v Tommaso Ciampa - Did not disappoint, my match of the first round. That was awesome and I am glad that Gargano is still alive. Have to agree with those that said, Ciampa should have won, even though I love Johnny Wrestling.
Overall, last two matches gave this an edge over last weeks show, but it was not off to a good start.

I think that they'll just stick to the 2 matches in an hour, they can give the matches a bit more time and fill the rest of the program up with more in depth look at each person, interviews, and reactions. I am thinking that we'll get some matches from some of the losers for the final, unless we're getting the semi-finals as well on that night since it's a bit much to have a 1 match, 2 hour show.
