Liverpool complete Mo Salah signing for 34M linkI saw a handful of Roma matches last season and I feel like Roma fans will be happier about this one. Yes, stats say that he got a load of goals and assists and was dangerous, but he needed a massive amount of chances to score. And doesn't Salah play right wing, just like Mané? I don't understand why that's a spot where you spend 34 million, when you already have an elite talent there. On the other hand, 34 million in todays market isn't that much. Just don't feel like Salah is anything special.

Unless they expect to lose Coutinho and play Mane or Lallana more centrally I don't see what Salah brings to the squad that they don't already have an abundance of. The other thing to consider is just how out of his depth he looked at Chelsea a couple of seasons ago.

Bizarrely, Juventus' Moise Kean is stalling on a new contract... because the club aren't willing to buy his father some tractors for his farmland back in the Ivory Coast.

Salah is a good player. He only played 13 times for Chelsea so he can't be judged on that. He's been excellent at Roma.
Liverpool should go for Dennis Suarez too. Good young player. Scored for Spain U21 tonight and never gets many starts at Barcelona.

Salah's the kind of player that Klopp loves so, he'll find some place to play him. It might take him some time, however.
Unfortunately, Liverpool fans aren't the most patient bunch when it comes to things like this.

After a month without a manager, Crystal Palace will finally announce the man who will take charge of the Eagles for the next season. It'll most likely be Frank de Boer.
Edit: And de Boer it is.

Yet another terrific display from MLS referees in the Canadian Championship tonight in Toronto.
It's in the 86th and it's 1-1 (2-2 on aggregate) and Sebastian Giovinco barges into the Montreal area and is scythed down by Kyle Fisher. This is as cut and dry a penalty as you'll see, but nothing given. Michael Bradley is incensed and goes after the ref.
Just as the game is heading stoppage, a TFC run is stopped by Patrice Bernier just inside the Impact area. As he's making his way out, he loses control of the ball and makes a lunge to get it back. He makes contact with the ball, but his followthrough sort of clips Marky Delgado's ankle. Delgado goes down and Bradley and Jozy Altidore again run straight at the ref. Both teams then run towards the group and there is pushing and shoving.
Eventually, Bernier is shown a straight red. Just a terrible call as there was barely a foul warranted, so Montreal is on 10 men with three minutes to go until extra time.
In the dying seconds of stoppage, a Toronto run is repelled by Montreal and Altidore appears to foul Hernan Bernandello as he's attempting a clearance. Nothing given as TFC recovers the ball and Raheem Edwards finds Giovinco to win it with the last kick of the match.
The TFC players all jump into the stands and it's bedlam with cops and security guards trying to get the players back on the pitch.
So Toronto wins the Canadian Championship - deservedly so on the whole - for a sixth time in 11 years and will advance to the Champions League.
The IMFC players and staff laid into the refs after the game and I'm sure there are going to be fines coming, but man, this was a piss-poor job by the refs especially late on.

New Celtic signing Jonny Hayes made his debut tonight in a friendly against BW Linz a few weeks after completing his signing from Aberdeen. He was the best non-Celtic player in the Scottish Premiership last season so I'm very happy to see him join the team.
Finished 1-0 thanks to a James Forrest strike towards the end. Was about as eventful as you imagined it.

Fabio Borini joins AC Milan from Sunderland. Talk about failing upwards. If you loom at the rest of Milan's transfer market you can see a lot of perplex fans. But he is being brought in to be a bench and cup player. Gotra say this, im loving what the new milan directors are doing

What's the point in having video reviews if the refs are just going to get it wrong anyway?
The Chile player blatantly elbows the Germany player in the face, and the ref looks at the replay, then gives a yellow card instead of an obvious red.
Madness.

Madness. bottled it more like it took me a few views from the different angles to see it was a blatantly deliberate forearm to the face, the ref didn't send him off just to keep it eleven v eleven!
