If you weren’t a fan of Chuck Austin’s X-Men run after Grant Morrison left the book, so wasn’t Megan thee Stallion. She said in her big GQ interview that she hated his run and “He ruined Nightcrawler by making his father literally the Devil. I mean, what?!” I haven’t heard her music much but I have respected Megan for being both one of the biggest stars in the world but also one of the biggest weebs. As a black fan of geekdom, its so awesome to see more and more of us on all levels kinda letting their flag fly. Austin Creed, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Budden (if you ever seen his daredecil audition video on YT youll get it lol) Donald Glover via Troy are definitely the kid i was coming up X of Swords really stinks of the tourney team is getting wiped out, then Arrakos getting absolutely annihilated by Krakoa Dont know how Kindred is Harry cuz last i saw was hin the norman-carnage saga i believe. So this heel turns gonna need some explanation

I don't think this week's ASM was particularly well received by anyone really, I've scoured a lot of forums and people are peeved, either at the pacing, being lied to by the solicitations, by a reveal that wasn't a surprise, for not having their expectations subverted, a lot of different reasons, but the issue just didn't click.

Looks like Doctor Doom will be axed after December's issue That's horribly unfortunate. I was really digging this book - story, and art (nice to see Larroca get away from the weird photorealism he was suddenly using on STAR WARS a while back) - and I thought some early acclaim, plus Cantwell's Iron Man gig, had guaranteed a decent run. Alas, it just ends up being a longish miniseries.

It’s time once again for “eJm talks about Death Metal and/or the tie ins TM” Multiverse Who Laughs is basically a collection of short stories and what seems to be the newly established Dark Mutiverse, sort of like Tales from the Dark Multiverse but original stories rather than based on existing ones. What makes this one interesting is that most sort of feel like back door pilots to stuff that could be expanded on in its own book or stuff down the line so... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Guardians of the Galaxy basically deciding to protect Earth and enforce strict curfews or Scarecrow sending a giant fear toxin globally causing masks to have to be worn and some being immune ...For example. It’s good but not like the others, it doesn’t feel that important to your enjoyment of Death Metal itself like some of the others did.

Over in Action Comics {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Lois' lawyer bails her out and the FBI come to the conclusion Leone really was from a different Earth, but the boss of the Invisible Mafia has already fled to another alternate universe. S.T.A.R Labs is shut down. Clark finally defeats Red Cloud and scares her with a trip to the Phantom Zone, he offers to take her back to Earth so long as she accepts a standard prison sentence for the murder of Melody Moore. In prison, Goode receives a letter from Leone telling her that her usefulness is at an end and she can go stuff herself. Lois summons the Kents back to the Planet, where Perry formerly reveals Jimmy is the new owner

Apparently Marvel EIC C.B. Cebulski replied to a Ghost Rider fan on Twitter (hoping for a conclusion to the pandemic-cancelled Ghost Rider ongoing) that "they will get their wish in 2021."
So apparently - not counting an upcoming Ghost Rider / Vengeance one-shot by Howard Mackie & Javier Saltares - that Ghost Rider series gets a proper finale (only the 2nd time this has happened to the character, lol) next year.

So in today's ASM.LR issue... {Spoiler}Sin Eater got the better of Morlun, and the Spiders all made it to Kindred's lair, but Sin Eater is here now too. Doctor Strange is busy fighting a giant demonic Mary Jane. There was also a six armed demon brandishing guns that Strange said was 'important' to Peter, and a humungous Wilson Fisk
There were also two Ghostbuster references by Anya...gotta give Sony their shout-outs

So last week I came into possession of the entire run of Gen13 volume 4 (the Worldstorm reboot), and spent the weekend reading them. My God, did this series fall apart as it went.
It started really good with the Gail Simone stuff, as would be expected, but nobody knew what to do when she left. The 15 Minutes storyline had its moments, but man did it drag on at times. Also it completely undercut a lot of the moral and emotional exploration from Simone's run by just having the kids kill people with little regard, even if the deaths were in self-defense. Then World's End happened and things got worse as the new setting just made it impossible to explore any of the more interesting ideas that the book had already set up.
The Shopping Mall and Skate Park stories weren't good per say, but at least they felt like Gen13 stories, kind of like the sillier Scott Lobdell stories from volume 2. But then they introduced Gen14 and things went to pieces. Roxy, Grunge and Sarah just disappear (was this explained in other books?) and the stories just became more and more about characters that weren't Gen13, weren't particularly interesting, and were in an environment that just didn't suit any of them. This was a book that just really needed to be put out of its misery.

That... seems like a weird character to base that on.
I mean I Get it they wanted the super bubbly character and the less outgoing daughter... but...
like... why Starfire specifically?
