TNA has at every single turn blown every opportunity they have, wasted tons upon tons of money having never once turned a profit in these past fourteen years, ruined the prospects for wrestling on two different networks now (and ran a different company off the channel they're currently on), has a loooong history of not paying or barely paying people both wrestlers and production alike, has on tons of occasions endangered or otherwise screwed over the people working there, and is a joke of a company no one takes seriously with no remaining avenues for expansion. Any money WWE put into it other than buying it would just be pissing into the wind, as would be any money put into buying it by someone other than them because the only thing of value they have is the tape library and only WWE can do anything with it. TNA had its chance. It blew it. It's time for it to die. Now go back to 1993-1997 and say the exact same thing to WWF. Even at that point in time, WWE had more revenue, more exposure, and WAY more of an audience than TNA does or has ever had. WWE never had to scramble to come up with money five days ahead of WrestleMania to keep from going out of business.

This will be interesting and worth paying at least passive attention to, but I won't start getting prepared for something until we truly hear shit has fallen through. This isn't the first time (or second, or third) we've heard "they're down to hours" and they pulled something out of their ass. We have to live with that reality; TNA has proved that they always find something to help at the last second. But, you have to also live with the reality that, eventually, TNA isn't going to have any miracles left.TNA ALWAYS HAS A MIRACLE LEFT!!
...Eh... On second thought...

LOL @ the amount of people who want WWE to buy out and shut down TNA. Outdated and poor quality wrestling company buys another horrible wrestling company is not good for wrestling at all cause soon whole industry will shut down. If WWE is smart acting and not shark acting they would actually fork some money to TNA and LU to keep the industry a float. But ego trip was always more relevant in wrestling than anything else, like common sense. Why should WWE float money to TNA? TNA's taken constant shots at them, tried to ruin AJ's debut, and acted like jackasses. And this is TNA, they'll still take constant shots at WWE, and they'd brag about getting money from WWE. Why should WWE reward that behavior? Why is it Vince's responsibility to bail Dixie out of her own damn mess? At what point is it Dixie's responsibility and fault?

...okay, TNA, you've been the bastard love child of the Black Knight and Rasputin, but you're at -9 HP and bleeding, and there's a bear mauling your body. I think it's over.
And if, by some miracle, a healer comes around and brings you back up to 1 HP and shoos the bear away so you can hobble along until the next stiff breeze and angry ursine, I'm gonna summon Demented to kick them in the genitals.

They didn't get kicked off any major cable networks during that time, and while they had financial troubles during that time, they still paid on time. Yes, I acknowledge that TNA going down is not a good thing for the wrestling business. But, I also think their continued existence (particularly their habit of leaving networks not wanting anything to do with wrestling) isn't helping either.

A poor alternative is better than no alternative at all. I hope WWE doesn't buy TNA. Yeah the alternative has been living week to week like a crackhead for a couple of years now, I can't see how they're gonna raise the money for the show. The brand is beyond tainted and even if they raise the money it would just be more debt. At least if the wwe buys it the tape library would be saved.

Just get it the f*** outta Dixie's hands and see what happens.
TNA doesn't need to go away. Dixie does. I still say rename the company "Dixie" that way when people bitch about TNA they'll be pointing the blame at the right person instead of the company that has talent and potential.
Get rid of the albatross and see if the boat can sink.
Honestly I'm not too keen on Corgan, but keep him off screen, and let's see what he can do. He seems to have a little bit of sense and some creativity which is more than we can say about Ditzy.

Even at their lowest during that period, WWF never ever reached the level of patheticness that TNA has obtained. No one walked out over not getting paid, they didn't get boot off USA and other networks three years in a row. And they sure as hell didn't broadcast a video with Vince telling the others to don't ever question him or they'd be fired. TNA is that restaurant that has rats all over the place, there's stains everywhere, the stench is appalling and everyone who's gone there claims they've gotten food poison due to how bad and unprepared it was. But hey, you were never poisoned when you ate there so I guess The Health Board shouldn't shut them down.

Even when TNA's writing has been horrible there has been in ring action that's made it worth a peek while the mid 90s WWE didn't have that by and large, yeah there were good Bret and Shawn matches but they did not outweigh the cavalcade of often plodding crap we got inbetween. From 1993-6 the product was nearly completely unwatchable and not just because of the jobber squashes, the gimmicks and booking were flat out insulting, like something that would be shown as a parody of wrestling on a comedy show, you could have debuted Dr. Hillbilly and the Iron Yuppie and they wouldn't have seemed out of place, they would have been a step up from middle aged Jerry Lawler and his foot fetish, his ugly dentist, wrestling plumbers and a smiling Nascar driver because at least they're mildly humorous. It's pretty telling that the moment WCW started offering a better product once they'd gotten over the 'let's recreate the 80s for the Hulkster!' phase, people turned over in droves.
