I'm curious as to how close WWE was to buying TNA since it seems they're covered for a couple of months. A good part of me thinks it boiled down to, "Why kill this weak competition by wasting our own money right now when they do such a good job of making themselves look terrible? We'll save a couple million by buying it a couple months from now."

On one hand, it's really gross to want the company to close due to all of the people who would lose their jobs. On the other hand, after watching Bound For Glory last night, it is very clear that this company needs a mercy killing. I'm shocked it still has a fan base, as small as it may be. Exactly. At this point, you'd almost be doing those people favors by letting them find better jobs elsewhere.

He's an absolute fool if he did. Jesus... I honestly feel bad for the roster. I wish there was a way to mobilize the iwc and boycott tna. We already do. Why do you think they're always in such dire financial straights?

If WWE REALLY wanted to purchase TNA this is the offer they should put on the table. $25.00 AND Dixie gets a show on The Network. Not 9.99? And then wwe put the network up so don't have to watch dixie smart thinking for a price rise.

So we know there are tapings tonight but do we know if they will actually take place? Nope. No word as of yet. The word keeps getting passed around that someone payed for it probably Corgan but nothing has officially been said. Knowing Dixie the show will just start and the talent still won't know shit

How can the collapse of a place that lies to them and owes them money is a bad thing? TNA will never pay them what they're worth and will never take care of them. Even when his company was in the shithole, Vince didn't hid the reality from the roster, he actually admitted that what he was doing wasn't working anymore. He also told the truth about not being able to pay as much when the company was hurting. Dixie Carter lies to her roster, pays them late and in some cases just neglects to pay the production people. I wish I could like this post more than once. It sums up my reasons regarding wanting TNA to die. It should be stated again: Dixie lies to her roster. Not only that, but she also lies to broadcast and overseas partners. Look no further than Russo being secretly employed for that. She acts like a petulant child when things aren't going her way, like that bullshit with the DVR numbers and the email fiasco. The most damning thing against her, however, is that she utterly fails to take care of those she employs. Something happen to them on her watch, like with Jesse Sorensen? Tough shit, they get thrown back in that figurative toy box to fend for themselves while she gets out her next shiny new toy. She's not the caring motherly type that everyone tries to portray her to be, she's just a delusional cow and a user who doesn't give a shit about anyone other than herself. IMO, that's why TNA, under its current regime, needs to die. To get that delusional cow and her inept toadies like Ryder and Gaburick out of the wrestling business for good. It's horrible that people who don't deserve this will be out of a job in the process, but hopefully they'll go somewhere they'll be appreciated and paid well for what they do. They deserve it for putting up with so much shit. If TNA was sold to someone who could run it well enough, kick the incompetents out and actually take care of the people out there busting their asses to keep it going, it would be a different thing. I'd honestly love for it to happen. Amen and Amen I don't want TNA to die. I want Dixie and her cavalcade of buffoons out of the wrestling business. Like you said if someone bought TNA and ran it right i'd all for it.

On the talent front, I understand the talent hating to hear about the fact that the company blows and the company is going to fold. If I was working there (and one Wikipedia article said I did for a short time before it was fixed (I LOLed on that)), I would hate being constantly barraged by the question as well and maybe at some point, I would build up a bit of disgust for the IWC.
Saying that, as long as Dixie Carter is still owning this garbage, this company deserves to die in a business sense due to how many times they have had to save themselves with loans, the whole being criminally late on paying people, and everything else that they have done. If someone else buys this company, it can only be run better due to how low it is now and maybe Billy Corgan has friends who can help out if he gets it as he may be a real life asshole, but he still has friends who probably make a lot more than any of us can.....and with the rebranding he would plan on doing, maybe some good could come out of the end of Dixie.

I wish that either Corgan or another promoter gave a state of the union type address and apologize for the things tna did to its talent and the shit product they put at times. Admits that the tna name was a mistake and will never be mentioned again. The company needs good faith if they hope to survive. Vince McMahon actually said at the beginning of the attitude era that they wouldn't be insulting the viewer's intelligence anymore. Take a page from him and apologize, fans respond good to that.
