Anthem is almost in the same boat Turner was. They're a media company and they need the shows that TNA produces. I am going to assume they can afford to take small losses on the tapings in exchange for whatever they get from airing it, selling it to other TV companies and off the video library. Anthem is backed by a VERY wealthy man. The Asper family was, or possibly still is, worth billions. If they believe in the promotion, then they absolutely have the means to eat some losses. So is Panda. At least Janice and Bob figured out what a money pit TNA is and didn't fall prey to the Sunk Cost Fallacy.

Honestly I don't see how even with this "win" how anybody would want to work for Dixie in anyway better yet why anybody would want to invest money into her company. They don't make money for a reason because of her poor business management to know how to turn profit. I don't understand what does anybody get out of it because in all counts it like flushing money down the toilet. Yeh,there was a reason the company wanted a settlement right of the bat.

Translation: Billy lost and he's just happy that the judge even considered his case. If that's his true feelings, then he must not have felt like he even had a case. I took it as he wanted all of Dixie's bullshit to part of public record.

Not that we didn't know Dixie's a moron before the trial, but hey.

next potential tna death thread, i'm going to say they'll survive just to see if that time they kick the bucket 2 weeks ago I said that I wouldn't say that this was the end and that didn't work, but maybe I wasn't forceful enough. Make sure that you show that you 100% believe in TNA having a future.

So is Panda. At least Janice and Bob figured out what a money pit TNA is and didn't fall prey to the Sunk Cost Fallacy. Big difference is TNA didn't benefit Panda in any way, whereas Anthem could directly benefit from TNA. Anthem may be buying them to try and restructure and sell, or they could be trying to build a flagship brand for TFN I really don't know. The fact that they're bothering to offer a 3 year deal to the Aroluxe guy definitely implies they are in for the long haul tho

Well, that's over.
And now, I hope TNA officially, totally dies. And I kinda hope they take Anthem and Aeroluxe with them. The last chance to salvage the company is gone, and everyone who's gotten in bed with Dixie can go to hell, for all I care.

I took it as he wanted all of Dixie's bullshit to part of public record. What exactly did we learn that we didn't already know? I mean anything that matters. He paid a lawyer probably a considerable sum of money to go through thousands of TNA documents -- which have not been made public -- and to prepare and present his case so we could learn ... that TNA has a ton of debt? I think we figured that out when they moved the office to a junkyard. What I learned was that Billy isn't qualified to run a major company because he poured a ton of money into TNA with the idea that he could somehow end up with control of a company that he argues is completely insolvent, and couldn't even pull that off because he didn't bother ot hire a lawyer (or lawyers, who drew up his contract) who understood the law in the very state where he sued.

You know how people really want that Rise and Fall of TNA book so badly? I think the Fall portion alone might end bigger than War and Peace at this rate, and that's only if you start when Spike TV dropped their ass.

For one, it certainly confirmed that Dixie was talking to WWE while pretending she wasn't. That's not a fatal blow or anything but you'd understand an erosion of trust outside of management over that. And I highly doubt she'd ever have admitted that otherwise.

Considering the apparent numbers and actual ownership percentages, Billy couldn't even throw much of a wrench into the plan if he took 36% of the company out of Dixie's hands. Anthem would still buy her out to the tune of a majority stake and still be able to call all the shots and overrule everyone. I don't see any sensible reason to stay in this. They've made a mockery of his actual role as president and dicked him around in so many ways that if he can't get enough of the company to take control I don't see there being any reason to take any of it. The company doesn't make any money, which means he'd be holding 36% of shit-all, and he'd be in a room full of people who seem to think that he's a chump to be taken advantage of. Congratulations, Dixie, you found the one nutjob who loved wrestling enough to keep your company up and running, and decided to make a joke out of him just to keep a couple tapings rolling. Way to f***ing go. Speaking from experience, working with people who don't respect you and don't bother hiding that fact is not a fun position to be in. Billy would be smart to just wash his hands of the situation and walk away. The only reason I can see him staying would be the roster. I could see him possibly caring enough about them to stay and try to fight for them, but truthfully, I think even a lot of them would tell him to just take the money and walk. Right now, TNA needs to reestablish trust between management and talent and that's a very tall order.

I think the Fall portion alone might end bigger than War and Peace at this rate, and that's only if you start when Spike TV dropped their ass. The Fall portion of the book comes in a dozen 1000 page volumes. The Rise of TNA is fully contained within a single Tweet.
