Cars: the Pixar franchise people will pay NOT to see. They have like a shit load of sequels lined up right? Which includes the incredibles which should of been done years ago.

There was a Cars 2 already? Yeah it was Mater as a spy. It was pretty terrible.

No Paul Newman, I take it?
Geez, Disney, you more than likely have the technology. Put it to good use, cheapskates.

I want to see a Cars/Twisted Metal Crossover game. Mater driven by Sweet-Tooth and covered with Twisty Rocket launchers would sell 50 million copies

Remember the junkyard scene in The Brave Little Toaster where all the cars are getting slaughtered while singing how worthless they are.
Yeah this movie should definally end like that.

Cars: the Pixar franchise people will pay NOT to see. The toy merchandise pretty much rakes in the dough, which is why Cars keeps getting sequels. I think it was second only to Toy Story in that regard for Pixar.

I think it was second only to Toy Story in that regard for Pixar. I know the reason is purely merchandising but I look at Cars & I see a half hearted project that is only done for contractual obligations. I mean... T Pixar does a good job mixing between high brow & lowbrow comedy but Cars 2 was purely lowbrow.

So McQueen is old and rusty and can't go like he used to anymore.
That could potentially be a good story. But still...it...it's Cars.

Did anybody even actually watch the teaser? That was surprisingly dark and serious-seeming for a Cars sequel. Granted it's just a teaser but there weren't even any of the car-eyes in sight and the film grit looked more like a 1990s NASCAR race than the last two films. Makes you wonder if they learned from the complaints of the 2nd film.

At least Disney is upfront with how dark this movie's going to be, unlike Toy Story 3.

Let me just say this.
I'm probably one of the few people on this board, hell probably one of the few people I know, that LOVED Cars. I loved the first movie. I feel it was horribly underrated. Many people felt it was a step down from The Incredibles, but to be honest, I didn't really care for The Incredibles. I love superhero movies, but that one didn't really work with me.
I loved everything about the first Cars movie. It had drama, it had comedy, it had all sorts of emotion. I loved the moral of it, which I took to be as "Don't just aim for the destination. Enjoy the trip there."
Cars 2, I did not see. I heard so many bad things about it, and I knew they were going to take Mater, the most popular character in the eyes of the kids, and just run it into the ground. I saw little bits and pieces of it, and I couldn't stand to watch it.
This one? I am excited for. As the way the trailer looks, this could be DARK. As a racer, I know the dangers of racing. So hopefully, the movie lives up to the hype of this trailer for me.

A little bit too dark for this franchise, I could almost hear "Hurt" over the trailer.
