It is keeping her in charge of her company despite everything that's happened. If her sole goal is to keep her vanity promotion going and be at the helm for as long as possible, then she's doing exactly what she wants to do. I'm not saying give her credit, but after the past few months more than ever, I think it's important to keep in mind she's more than just a rube who doesn't understand emails and who let the cast of the cover of Death of WCW tap dance all over her a decade later. The answer to the question of "Evil or stupid?" is "both" and insisting she's not actually a dangerous schemer but just a complete idiot is underselling the phenomenally shitty things she's done in a way that's almost giving her credit by omission. Oh, nah... I've generally been one to figure when it comes to keeping herself at the center of TNA (to the exclusion of all else), Dixie knows what she's doing. I just don't like even the small amounts of reverence some people tend to show for people like Dixie. If I had as much money as she does...with the parents she does...with the connections she has...I'm pretty sure I could toy with the lives of several people and get off scot-free too. More or less. One doesn't have to be a genius to f*** around and buy and sell people for one's own personal enjoyment. Dixie was raised in that environment and floated around those circles her whole life. She can function (even if it's in a "flaming trainwreck" sort of way) in that environment on instinct alone.

And surprise, surprise, the production crew is late on being paid again. It's morning in TNA again The sun is shining Fresh morning dew is on the grass And the production crew is fighting for government cheese and spam at the dollar store as TNA is late on payments again EDIT:
It should be noted that the new regime takes place January 1. So late payments aren't necessary the fault of Anthem. Da Meltz is also reporting Dixie suggested 12 weeks of taping in India which was promptly shut down and laughed off by the new boss.

The late pay thing, well, if I'm anthem and I "officially take over on the first" and its 3 days from now, I pay, as in right now. It's a first step of good faith with a crew that probably has run out of it. As for the whole shooting down taping in India suggestion, I know why Dixie would suggest it since it's both a breaking point with a partner and a chance (more importantly, seemingly, for her) to save face and show how necessary she is. The thing is, with Anthem shutting that down, they're taking a company they're already paying debts for that has, since they started negotiations, lost one TV deal and now another one has been breached. If I'm ANthem, I book that tour yesterday, I step up and say "ok, we're going to do this" because while they own one place to air the show, this is theoretically their last international foothold for airing the show. It goes, and they paid for a tape library to run on their show and they have no additonal income from the company whatosever.

Understand, though, Anthem could very well want to get out of the television market completely, at least on the international level, and try to sell these nations on their Fight Network as the alternative. I know that there's guaranteed money involved with having a network deal, but considering how tech savvy people are (particularly in the East), an internet setup might end up being more profitable to them, and won't have as many strings attached, like the tour.

If this indeed gets Dixie out of decision making power, then hallelujah!
People want this company to die, I want to see the company have a chance to actually succeed without an idiot succubus at the helm. Even if it fails in the end, at least give it a f***ing chance to flourish outside of the person who had/has no idea what she's doing and single handedly made crappy decision after crappy decision (most of them ethical/logical failings).
I've said it before, I do not like Vince McMahon at all. Dude is an idiot when it comes to creative, but he's made an empire that makes him money in spite of himself. Dixie is just an idiot, and I loathe her for having a roster of great talent she squandered for years, hiring every ex-WWE guy and putting them above said talent, and just....well.....everything. She was horrible.
I hope TNA/Impact has a chance to actually grow instead of being stifled or having its legs cut our from under it from someone who wants us to stop hating.
Seriously, how she wasn't ousted when she sent that email that lost them Destination America is beyond me. Her entire tenure has been unprofessional, mark-bait, and how not to run a company.

Well, if we all would have chipped in on that Kickstarter thing, it could have been FAN taking ownership on the 1st of January. I want you all to take some time and think about that.

I've given up on any meaningful change occurring in TNA. The names change but the games stay the same.

Oh yeah more news
As of a week ago, a lot of people within TNA haven’t been paid for the October tapings. Even with the new ownership group, there have been delays in payment to the production people. The company has been told that they would be paid sometime this week.
The holdup is said to be a seven figure payment from Sony Six in India. This is interesting considering Anthem is supposed to be a new funding source for the company. It should be interesting to see how things play out, and if the company can profit in business next year

You owe money to your employees? Weeks behind you say? Well, you have this way to get you money to pay them, as you have this deal with this other company, but let's not do that deal, let's say "wait and see, gang, just hold on" because that does good for the employees and those, what do they call them, bills that they have. Sure, I see the employees paid since, legally, Anthem has no choice unless they want to just sign a "we lost a lawsuit on day one of owning this company" form now. Thing is, does this say that TNA is, or will be now, just a tape library with no other costs and it's just buying stuff to air in the down hours?

BTW about the Fight Network/Anthem, I learned that they own a network called "My Combat Channel" in the US. They could put additional TNA content there or if it doesn't work with Pop, put their stuff on MCN.

That is the thing though, they don't need TNA to be profitable. They make billions elsewhere and need TNA for content more than any potential profit. This is about them shoring up material for their broadcast networks (like Turner and WCW initially) than trying to run a billion dollar company. Second, we don't how they are buying TNA yet. They could do as WWE did with WCW and just get the assets, leaving the Dixie owned shell to face the lawsuits or just pay it all off which, again, wouldn't be a drop in the bucket to Anthem. For now all Anthem is looking for is network content, maybe years down the line they try and branch out with TNA but from everything I've seen that is not the plan right now.
